Vous aimerez aussi regarder les mouvements mystiques de nos alpagas. Pendant votre séjour à Gabe's Getaway, vous pourrez regarder nos 3 belles poules d'Orpington et même ramasser leurs œufs. Votre séjour ici comprendra une salle de bain complète avec douche, une cuisine complète avec tous les éléments essentiels: mini-réfrigérateur, micro-ondes, cafetière, ustensiles et 4 couverts, 1 lit queen size, 1 canapé-lit queen, radio satellite, antenne parabolique dans le salon et la chambre, lecteur DVD, TV 40 "dans le salon, 36" TV dans la chambre, tous les draps et les couettes sont lavés après chaque invité. Aussi fourni une aire de pique-nique avec balançoire en bois, banc et barbecue, (toutes fournitures incluses) et un foyer chaleureux (tous fournis). L'appartement est à environ 10 miles de Harrisonburg. Il est à une courte distance de Blue Ridge Parkway, Cavernes Luray, Cavernes sans fin, New Market Battlefield, Shenandoah River, Massanutten Resort, Université James Madison, Eastern Mennonite University, Shenvalee Golf Course, Pack Saddle Golf Course, et vous êtes seulement quelques minutes loin des magasins et des restaurants. We enjoyed our stay at the farm! The place was very cozy and comfortable. Valerie is lovely and introduced us to the animals when we arrived. We had so much fun visiting with the alpacas, sheep, goats, horses, and who could forget…our shadow (Wilbur the cat!) If you love animals, this is the place for you!!!!

My wife and I stayed at the "Heart of the Shenandoah" and had a wonderful time. It was fun to have the animals around. Valerie was super helpful when we had technical problems with the website. Worked with us at the last minute to help make our 30th wedding anniversary smooth and problem free. We would like to return again later.

Clean and cozy apartment on a farm with a variety of animals. Very friendly host who loves her animals deeply. Convenient drive to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. Would recommend this place to everyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature.

Gabe’s Getaway is a wonderful escape from the everyday norm of living in the city. The entryway is flanked by beautiful pasturelands, with animals everywhere you turn. The pond is a lovely extension of the property with yard games, swings, and a gazebo with a fire table. The only sounds we heard during the stay were the wind, the fountain in the pond, a small water feature outside the barn, and animals. It was a delightful retreat on a small animal farm.

My son and I needed a place to disconnect and relax and Gabe's Getaway was perfect! I loved having my morning coffee while watching the animals and petting the cats. We spent time walking the property, sitting by the small pond and playing on the zipline. Many restaurants nearby so it feels like you are "away" but still connected to conveniences. Many thanks to our hosts!

After a busy day this is the place you want to come to, escape the crazy and relax and enjoy the many four legged therapist that surround you! This was our first visit but certainly won’t be our last visit. If you get the chance, you should enjoy it too!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gabe’s Getaway. We loved the time with the animals, enjoying the “light show” around the pond, and the quiet place to walk in the evenings. Brad and Valerie were so hospitable and gave us great suggestions for places to kayak nearby.

We loved our stay at the little barn over the Alpacas!!! It was so clean and quaint and we really enjoyed talking to the owners. We wish we could have stayer longer but we were visiting JMU with our daughter and had to get back to work the next day.

This place was absolutely adorable, much more modernized than I was expecting, and came with such an experience for the kids and ourselves. We needed somewhere to stay overnight and although we did not wake up in time to feed the animals with the owners in the morning, they were such wonderful host and met every need and checked in just enough to remind us that if we needed anything they were available while, giving us plenty of space to enjoy our evening

Gabe's Getaway was such a happy place to be, from the friendly animals to the thoughtful and fun decor. It was the perfect spot to visit the National Park as well as a few of the amazing wineries. Wish we lived closer so we could visit often!

We really enjoyed our stay at Gabe's Getaway. It was relaxing and peaceful aside from the expected typical farm noises of sheep and goats. The alpacas were friendly but I have never met an animal as friendly as the cat that was determined to be pet each time we came or went from the property. My partner particularly liked watching the ducks waddle around the farm. We took a trip out to see Blackwater Falls in WV one of the days and it was worth the drive! Overall we had a really great time, thank you!

We were warmly welcomed by Wilbur the ambassador cat. Val and Brad are engaging hosts who introduced us to all the many adorable animals on the farm and made thoughtful recommendations for things to do in the area that my visually impaired sister might enjoy. Our accommodations were snug, cozy, and decorated in all the themes of the farm animals. Delicious fresh eggs for breakfast! The pond is like having a private park. We’ll be back!

I really enjoyed the time I spent here. The apartment was very homey and welcoming, complete with Wilbur the cat. My son and I enjoyed getting to know the animals and chatting with Cindy, who was taking care of them while we visited. She gave us inside info about the animals’ history and personalities, and really made our visit a joy.

My husband and I brought our two kids (7 yo and 3 yo) for Spring Break/Easter break. The kids loved the animals and enjoyed the cozy loving space decked out with kid friendly books and stuffies. Valerie and Brad were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcomed. The setting was scenic and peaceful, and allowed us to jet off each day to explore something new. We tried a new small coffee shop each day in different towns, visited Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, and two different playgrounds. Excellent family vacation, would recommend!

I can’t remember a more enjoyable getaway as the two nights spent at Val and Brad’s beautiful property. The apartment was so cozy with a view of the animals from every room. Wilbur, the cat mascot, visited us each day, and Jude the chocolate alpaca stole my heart! Val and Brad are not only diligent hosts but they are compassionate, lovely people. Their dedication to maintaining their home creates a welcoming environment, and the animals they rescue and care for are a testament to their dear hearts. We hope to return one day with our grandchildren. It is a memorable experience!

Had a wonderful two days with my daughter at Gabe’s Getaway. We picked Gabe's for the farm animals that surrounded the property. It did not disappoint. My daughter was thrilled. The cabin on top of the barn was clean and comfortable. Very charming with lots of Alpaca decor. The wool products in the boutique were beautiful and well made. If your kids like horses, rabbits, goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, and alpacas (amazing creatures) then they will love this place. Will come back again. The property owners were very friendly and responsive.

We had a great time at Gabe's Getaway. My girlfriend was absolutely obsessed with all the animals (and there were so many more than I was expecting!) Brad and Valerie were great hosts and allowed us to tag along with feeding all their adorable animals in the morning. We would definitely come back!

Valerie and Brad are incredibly warm, welcoming and wonderful hosts, and there is nothing like waking up to alpacas, goats, pigs, horses, sheep, ducks, chickens, and rabbits. ❤️ Our kids are already asking when we will be back. We enjoyed the cozy apartment. The decor was super cute with plenty of alpacas! We loved all of the animals on the farm and we loved that we could bring our dogs along. We didn’t get to go hiking due to high winds and ice but we enjoyed scenic drives and relaxation at the apartment.

Extremely cozy space. Loved watching the animals and hiking/hanging out in the area. Even when it was snowing and the roads were too icy to go out, we had a great time just hanging at the getaway. Would absolutely visit again!
