It felt like home away from home

Our stay at The Grand Gables was exceptional. it had all the facilities we needed during our stay. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The location was very convenient to Sarit Centre and the city centre. It was indeed a value for money. The staff we extra friendly always ready to help and we highly appreciate one staff at the gate named James. He was really helpful and friendly to us and we highly appreciate his warm welcome.

Easy to find - well located to shops/restaurants - polite & helpful gate guards - quiet

No hot water in bathroom/kitchen - I could not get electric cooker to work (would be good to have instructions if something to do with electrical connections) - satellite TV channel not available - very dirty sofa set - broken lid on teapot - very tired and dated decor. i was in room 1C.

The can do better in terms of cleaning. The apartment could sparkle if they put much attention into cleaning it.

very nice and big apartment. we also liked a lot the architecture of the property complex.

we were there in august and it was a bit cold - it could be nice if they could put some heating system. the breakfast is made in an other location and delivered in the room.

It was cheap enough. Sofa was nice and comfy, as were the beds. Good mosquito nets. House keeping was a pleasant surprise!

We ran out of toilet roll. Bathroom and kitchen very dated, and grotty! There was no reception. Some girl greeted us wearing tracksuit bottoms and big puffer jacket. Parking very limited. No kettle - but coffee etc left. Get rid of the bath.... and just keep the shower! The shower looked new.... just the bath had black all round it!! And a lick of paint as patches were coming off the wall and the place would be lots better.

The location was the best part as westlands is where we wanted to stay. it looked fabulous in pictures and we didn’t realise there is going to be absolutely no service at the property

The only staff available at all times was the guard and the poor guard fell sick one night and there was nobody to even give him medicine on water . so we took care of him . the guard was running a solo show the house keeping and manager came in the morning and left as early as 3.30 pm. never had change for any payments made to her and was completely unresponsive.

Property was clean and the bed very comfortable. The lodge was great! It was located in a quieter area of Nairobi. There’s no bar or restaurant at the property but that’s clear in the property description. Plenty of nice places to eat nearby! would recommend CJ’s :) Would recommend as base for a short stop over and your adventurous the apartment has a kitchen!

The property was located in a convenient and quiet area. You were able to get services like cabs within a few minutes. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Most of all I feel safe when I walked around the area and people were so helpful when I asked for directions or anything. The place is very very quiet and the pool is adequate for kids. I like the fact that it was very clean.

what’s not like about this property. The TV was not working in our room however we were not there all day so it didn’t bother much. It was not a dealbreaker. If you have luggage you can ask for assistance to move your luggage if you are living or staying in a room that’s on the upper floors as there are no elevators. That’s all I can say
