Lovely, excellent service by staff. Was treated like a VIP and nothing was ever too much for them.
Dinner and breakfast were pretty pricey! Also wished we were higher up so we could see more of the view outside (we were staying in level 1)

The size of the room and the amenities, the breakfast is excellent . The staffs were really nice and helpful.
There’s some kind of smell in the room especially the bathroom, it might be due to the age of the building

the personal onsen was amazing
make sure to eat before 5 pm here or pay for the meals because every restaurant/shop around closes by 6pm

The outside bath was amazing! But the bathroom was quite old and was very smelly due to poor ventilation.

helpful staff and beautiful big traditional room. we enjoyed the private onsen in our room. we upgraded our dinner set and it was okay, some hit and misses. super filling but the mister was unsatisfied due to the lack of red meat.
massage chair was meh. toilet was big but a little old. there was a drainage problem in the bathroom (quite smelly so we just shut the bathroom door) but since we were just staying for a night, we didn’t request for a change of room.

Best authentic Japanese hotel I have ever stayed. The private open-air onsen is a must-try. The room we stayed has a ocean view as well.
Another plus here is the toilet. It's relatively bigger than other hotels we stayed.
While the futon (traditional Japanese bed) is superb, the pillow is HARD. It can be difficult to sleep on for some people.
The second point is the bug. At night we witnessed several types of bugs. It was too late to notify the staff so I had to catch them by myself.

Friendly staff and cleanliness. Wlling distance from train station.
Very old facilities. Free tea had expiration date of 2019! Open air bath was clean but salt deposits were clearly visible.

The room was very nice and excellent. So was the breakfast and the associated staff.
I arrived a bit early and wanted to drop off our bags as we explored Amanohashidate before check in time. There was no one at reception and the person who attended us was not very helpful and left our bags (valuables) in the lobby. I expected a little more effort from an relatively expensive stay. When we returned after a few hours of exploration, we were very disappointed that our bags were left in same place, in the lobby, accessible for anyone. We did not feel that was right and certainly not the "omotenashi" you would normally see at most other places.

It’s located only a few minutes walk from Amanohashidate Station and the land-bridge. It was nice and quiet, very relaxing. The outdoor private bath was a treat, especially at night.
I can’t complain about the place. I guess if I had to find one thing to fault it would be the pillows were hard and a bit uncomfortable.
