The location was ok
We were made to pay extra money for having a pet and for parking. This was not mentioned in the booking offer. The ladies at reception were disorganized and not very friendly as they were unhappy we booked the room via booking and not agreed to their offer at reception (it looked like they were trying to come up with ways of getting more money from us by asking us to pay for or dog and parking).
The room was very humid and hot.

The only thing is that it's being close to the Castle, very close.
Breakfast was ok, quality on the low side.
It's dirty, old, uncomfortable, stupid, dirty bathroom, awful douche and sink that spill water...

The headline grabbing "All inclusive, free pool access" is actually not a true reflection of the reality, ok i appreciate that the summer season "officially" ended on 15/09 but that is no reason to close everything without prior notice.1/ the pool was out of bounds, not maintained and the water was beginning to discolour. 2/No breakfast available although option offered on Booking.com, 3/No Bar or Restaurant. Infact i was the only guest that night so i presume they "shut up shop and went home". Luckily there is another Hotel 20mtrs away and i used their facilities that evening and also breakfast. The only saving grace for the Hotel is that it's a stone's throw from the Palace and Gardens which is Balchik's most popular tourist attraction and offers free parking to guests This Hotel requires updating, both in facilities and attitude to guest's needs.
Rooms are basic and need refreshing/updating!

Breakfast was very good, serving staff kind and polite.
Could do with some variation in menu.
Location is not great, the stairs leading to sea are quite steep and need cleaning and major repairs.
Pool has good size and kept nicely clean.

Good location. Stairs to the beach ( narrow steps and no lights in the evening ). Swimming pool was clean and very nice with a little pool bar. Great breakfast with good variety.
Interior of the hotel was very outdated. Great value for money. could do better on bed linen.

Location, amazing sea view, kind people working there, flexibility to check out later.
The food was good variety - loved the awesome water melon!
The team could dress up a bit more elegantly. It is not good if the T-shirt is up and shows the stomach of the waitress while serving breakfast. It is important to look clean, tidy and well groomed - even if it's not a 5 star hotel.
Everything else was good.

Very good pool, good wi fi signal, great location
The bathroom was horrible-toilet smelled like pee, bathroom wasn't clean, I found hair in the drain from previous guests. Aircondition had some weird smell too. In general the room was very smelly. Not very good isolation, quite a lote of noise in the morning from people with screaming babies.

Bad smell, old furniture, the AC wasn’t working, the breakfast was terrible, we couldn’t eat, there was mold in the bathroom. An awful experience

Great hotel in very good tourist locations. Close to shops restaurants botanical gardens etc. Not too far from the beach. Car parking at hotel. Nice pool, although we didnt use it. Lovley breakfast in dining restaurant.
Very steep steps to the beach. Not a huge problem for us but not for elderly or pushchairs. There is other ways to the beach.

Staff helpful, close to restaurants, parking available, great sea view from a private balcony, hot water and comfortable bed, tea pot available.
Pool wasn't working, I guess we were out of the season yet

The location was great, it is very close to restaurants and the palace. The staff was very affable. The pool was great, we really enjoyed it.
The breakfast could have been better. There is enough food, but the quality of it isn't the best.
