Nice environment and it’s a chill resort

Location is a bit far from city center and beaches but the facilities are just perfect

The Island in general was completely overpriced and most beaches now smell like sewage water, there are lots of construction rubbish on the sides of the roads to the south and north of the Island. Sad to see such a beautiful island being destroyed by overdevelopment that has nothing to do with the Vietnamese culture and heritage. Many fake looking European apartment complexes, the theme park Vinpearl has a place called Grand World that also looks like a flimsy copied Venetian town...the shops look a bit run down and are all closed during the day. You can see cheap plastic stools and other type of low quality equipment outside and infront of the many restaurants and shops. Nothing to do with its name "Grand World"...more like a street food market at night.

Staff is always around taking good care of this place, high up-keep standards...they picked us up at the airport and allow us to check at our arrival in the morning at 10 am and everything there including the swimming pool was in quite good condition...

1:Because we arrived quite early and checked in basically in a rush ...the toilet in our room was not cleaned well but the reception sent a lady to take care of it right away. 2: There are so many geckos and lizards that at times make some crickin' and cracking noises and wake you up in the middle of the night. 3: The whole city though is a mess, most beaches were super dirty and the sea water was just murky and had a stale stink to it, insane honking from trucks, buses and motorcycles... lots of abandoned fake European style buildings and construction debris thrown everywhere on the side of the road. Food is now very expensive even at small restaurants offering traditional dishes (greedy locals) but the quality is average. To end... the road up the hill to the hotel is also quite dirty, not their fault thou.

Very homely with the friendliest and most helpful staff! It was just awesome, I felt more like visiting my favorite cousins or something
