Beautiful warm and eclectic art deco apartment at the back of a property with flowers and a nice garden. Two nice beds, fresh fruit on the table. Quiet cul de sac. very Private. And a lovely host. Laurie even gave me a ride to hastings the following day. Felt looked after. Ill stay here the next time i come to napier.

We were grateful for the warm welcome, and how they presented all the furniture and Deco art in the house. It really showcased how much time and effort they put in to make sure our stay was good. We would rate this house 10/10, but if we could, we would rate this a 20. And my daughter really like the jam.

Nice selection of cereal and fruit

Beautiful and cozy little apartment separate from main house. Thoughtfully decorated, and guests are provided with a lovely selection of fruits, cereals, and hot beverages. Milk was also provided. Perfect location to visit wineries and the beach. Will definitely return!

I guess the only thing would be the bulbs used in the bedside tables. They were cool and cast sickly green light through the stained glass of the beautiful lamps. I am someone who does not like overhead lights--I prefer lamp light. In this situation, though, I couldn't tolerate the lamp lights (the floor lamp was perfect, though, as it had a warm bulb).

Clean, comfortable beds. Art Deco theme is cool. Laurie is a great host. He provided complimentary fresh fruit in addition to coffee, bottled water etc.

Laurie was a fantastic and attentive host. The little extras he added really enhanced our experience and were much appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great host, very helpful and enjoyed our chats. Toys for the kids, wine for the mum, chocolates and cheese for the dad. Couldn't have asked for more. Best place we've stayed on our trip to New Zealand!

Nothing! Wish we stayed longer

Laurie, the host, graciously left snacks and drinks for us. The bungalow was a one of a kind Art Deco museum with much to marvel at and explore. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. A must for those travelers who appreciate Art Deco.

That I could not stay another night

De locatie is iets buiten het centrum, in een woonwijk maar prima te vinden. Je hebt een geheel eigen woning met een buiten waar je lekker zit en ook kan eten. Zoals de beschrijving al doet vermoeden is het verblijf helemaal opgedragen aan de art deco stijl. Het ziet er echt super uit, met oog voor detail en de gastheer is er dan ook (terecht) trots op. De faciliteiten zijn super goed, alles was aanwezig. Er is ook een wasmachine en droog rek buiten maar er bleken niet genoeg wasknijpers. De gastheer was alweer terug met nieuwe wasknijpers voordat de was klaar was, fantastisch. Vers fruit, wijn en toastjes met kaas, ook deze stonden klaar voor de gasten, echt super. Kortom, een super mooie en originele plek om te zijn.

We waren er veel te vroeg maar waren al van harte welkom! We mochten gebruik maken van lekkere ontbijtspullen en zelfs aan het chocolaatje op het bed was gedacht. Prachtig art deco ingericht.

Miste een raam in de slaapkamer.

Laurie was there to meet us and let us know all the key features of the property. Our towels had a chocolate on them. There was tea and coffee and breakfast cereals and milk for our use. The beds were very comfortable. It was an excellent stay. Thank you.

Comfortable, clean, spacious, extra beddings, quiet unit and basic provisions were provided.

This was a cosy and warm house to stay in. It was decorated well, with great facilities, bedding and more.

The house is truly nice and recommended for art deco lovers. My kids love the interior and furnishings. The owner was so kind that he prepared special treatment for us.

The only negative is WIFI was unstable inside the premises.

Beautiful interior- really on theme to get in the Napier mood! Comfortable beds, lovely kitchenette, generous fruit and breakfast, fab social area and we loved the board games and quiz instead of the TV!

Everything It’s almost like a must do in Napier We had an amazing 2-night stay Laurie, the owner, super organised, he was traveling but called us and messaged us to make sure everything is ok We had free fruit, chocolate, coffee, mints, tea, milk…… The place is such a treat, super quiet and comfortable The location is great The beds are firm It’s just amazing Our kids loved it We will definitely go and stay again

Hosts very friendly. Ideally located for my needs. Plenty of space. Bed very comfortable. Lovely to have a bowl of fresh fruit and always nice to have a proper table to eat/work at plus a coffee table. Good, easy to use microwave. Will definitely return.

The host could not have been better. He gave us a ride to and from McLean Park. Friendly as heck. Communication before, during & after was superb.. The beds were awesome & the whole place was really nicely appointed. There was fresh fruit, water bottles, ā litre of milk in the fridge.

Awesome host, awesome place, awesome extras. Stayed in many places on our 3 week trip and this was by far the best. The many extras (cereal, fruit, condiments, etc.) May not seem much but go an awfully long way and are greatly appreciated. This is all you want and more for an airbnb/homestay. Affordable and excellently executed. All the best Laurie, and sorry we couldn't see you before we left.
