Location was the only thing that was good here

Twin room was so small .. so small .. that we could hardly move. The bathroom door was faulty and we had issues opening and locking it The kitchen was horrible. People who used cuttlery, utensils never cleaned and no supervision for that. The food store was so small we couldn't keep ours. We had to carry food from room to kitchen everytime

The location of Village Hostels was good, right off London Circuit. So it was easy to get up each morning and head out around Canberra and get out to other areas.

The lack of a tv as was communicated in some reviews and also that the toilets/bathroom were not really clean. For $600+ I expected a bit better. Also try to ensure the rooms have towels and clean sheets. It's not that much to ask for.

Location is very good for going to train station & easy around by bus.

1. It was Halloween day, then, all kind of decorations made me no good feeling of paint red blood colour for entrance door & hanged scared figure in the elevator in Canberra YHA (village). Shouldn’t do it for visitors & foreigners. 2. Female toilet main door did’n t lock properly, so, felt unsafe going toilet at nighttime or even at day time.

The location was very nice and the hostel in general was really cool.

No hand soap was provided in the private bathroom. I had to get out of the room, go to shared bathroom to wash my hands. Asked the reception about it and said it wasn’t provided. Bed wasnt really comfortable but other than that it was a pretty good stay.

Nice, spacious and affordable for short trips in Canberra.

The hotel is very well located and has very nice common areas.

My only problem was with the assignment of the bed, because they gave me a bed and when I got to the room that bed was dirty. I looked for a person from the staff and he told me that I could take any bed that was clean. I chose one and after I left the hotel, when I returned at night, another person had taken the bed. I had to go back to the reception and ask for another bed in another room. They helped me straigh away but it was really anoying what was happened.

I loved the location and i like the facilities.

The bathroom doors are firedoors, super heavy and really aggressively swing shut causing huge bangs in the night, so I was woken up every hour when people went to the loo. I also left a brand new shampoo and conditioner in the shower which disappeared, I assumed that a guest would have taken it and at least it would be used but I was told by the front desk that it would have been thrown away, which is just needless waste and doesn’t create a community sharing feel. The signs everywhere were pretty unpleasant too.

Location, convenience, staff , cleanness and value for money, I highly recommend the Village, everything at your door step. Ive stayed there twice already, but will alway choose the Village, when I'm in the A.C.T. , thank you to all the staff for , making MY experience Safe and Sound.🙏👍 Keep up the Good work .
