Poor breakfast service. Had to wait in queue to be seated. Then foods were finished and took ages to be refilled. Most common scrambled eggs were finished and was told will take 20mins to be refilled. We eat halal food and no options for us. Will never book here.

Had to ask for sheets for sofa and make it ourselves.We didn’t get 2 rooms together and the lift wouldn’t go up one level to see the people we traveled with.

Reception guy was very friendly and helpful. I needed a late checkout which they were easily able to accommodate. I also had an issue with the TV in my room, and he did his best to resolve the issue, and did follow up and get it done.

When I turned on the TV it wasn't working. Since I was only there for an overnighter and had an hour in the afternoon before I went out for dinner to chill and watch the news etc it was an issue. When I returned after dinner the solution was to have to change rooms which was the only way I could watch the sport I wanted to. Since I had already unpacked this was a bit of a punish. I was there for the Canberra Marathon festival and when I returned from the run around 1130 there were no food options available in the hotel. Not ideal, for leisure but probably adequate for business.

Excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Great location and parking was very reasonably priced.

original booked room bathroom was too small for me to move around in. Reception was very happy to help find a more suitable room though. Carpark was absolute bedlam with people taking permit parking spots without a disablility permit or any care about people who needed the spots. it would be great if the parking spaces are to be pre-booked to avoid issues with guests.

Dinner Menu at the restaurant was limited, ingredients on the menu were missing and when food arrived I was unable to eat and had to send back due to allergies. You can’t add ingredients to food items without the consumer knowing it. This is crazy, I am just lucky I could see the sesame seeds. You need to update your menu and put a little more effort into dinner service, better chips better food quality. There was only one pillow on the bed and was unable to sleep properly because I needed an extra pillow this should have been left in the cupboard with the spare blanket. Breakfast buffet was much better than dinner , but still could have been improved with more options and variety.

Great location, only a few minutes walk to Canberra Centre. The hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable. Super friendly staff. We came early and they let us checked in early. My children loved the swimming pool.

Parking costs additional not included in room price which was already $$$ & very limited parking onsite. Breakfast options for kids were limited ie curry puffs instead of pancakes most mornings.

Polite staff once I had spoken with someone finally.

My room was on a level above those with terraces. The people immediately below were drinking and noisy until midnight and I had a 5am start. After repeated attempts to phone reception / concierge etc I finally got through. Had to try again for an update when there had been no change. After I was told they would move my room, I packed my bags and got dressed waiting at midnight, I had no further instructions and was left waiting in my room. I had missed a call from your management during the next morning / day during travel. A satisfactory resolution would more than free parking. Free parking is a business expense but also does not return lost sleep, reduce the risk of driving whilst tired or improve work performance etc. I can stay here regularly for work but will more carefully assess my options in future.

Poor to non existent room service did not use after est of over 2 hours wait to get a simple burger and chips sent to room because my wife was unwell in the end got McDonalds and brought it back so she could eat. Breakfast in restaurant also very average and the hot food was either dried out or borderline cold.

Rooms were very minimum. We had to ask for utensils and plates for the room. No mini bar and the fridge was so small we could fit barely anything in it. Definitely overpriced for what you get, I wouldn’t recommend this motel. Price for parking per night was a joke.

The central location made it easy to access other sites. My 89 you mother was able to walk to shops and eating locations.

Perhaps some extra cutlery?? A knife to cut up fruit?

Sony the lady at reception was super helpful, and made my birthday weekend a more enjoyable one.

Fitness room- under construction

Room was nice, decent size, and very comfortable beds. Location was good bur fairly irrelevant -Canberra is small and there is no traffic on weekends. Breakfast was great, I made sure I had it included in the price if the room.

What I loathed was the pool temperature. My kids lasted 10 minutes and because it was so cold anyone that was there was in the spa (anyone brave enough to leave and get in the pool immediately got back in) so no room and the kids came back to the room shivering. I reported it to the staff and still have heard nothing. I have mentioned it twice more in emails and still have heard nothing. That’s a month ago. The indoor pool was why I chose this hotel in the first place.

The location was good.

The hotel was full of festival goers, they were all day drinking and the walls were very thin - I had an event early Sunday morning so went to bed early and woke up at 3:30, the same neighbours I fell asleep hearing I also woke up to. The parking is a nightmare and there is a shortage of it. The hotel was also very expensive for what it was worth, we paid for a room with a city view that faced directly into a neighbouring building - a bit misleading.

Parking was atrocious - once parking was paid for, two evenings in a row there were no parks available on our return. Novotel should stop selling car parks to third parties, and allocate a park specifically for customers first. Car park staff were terrific, but the space was at a premium and full too early in the evening.
