The property is beautiful and well kept. They have everything you need and the staff is incredibly helpful. The food is absolutely delicious.

The roads leading to the resort are not well kept but that’s not a significant issue.

Breakfast was delicious - a lot of food and choices! The location (for the beach and pool) was incredible, between low tide and high tide (and during high tide) you can easily swim here. The pool is pretty deep which is a big bonus as we like swimming (but it's a bit small). They were always very friendly with us! The view is magnific - both from the room and from the pool. We loved staying in the evening and relaxing while watching the ocean and the pool. It's VERY clean - we saw every time how deep the cleaning was made every day. There are a lot of choices for food and drinks too which were very good Great wifi - coming from two people that are very picky with internet and work during travels

This is for the entire area, not just for the hotel, but you'll need transfer to visit most of the things (for example you don't have in this area of the island nightlife, parties etc., we didn't want that because we were on our honeymoon to relax, but if you're coming and want a vibrant nightlife, you should choose the north side of the island)

The hotel is very very nice. The whole facilities are very clean and tasteful. The food is delicious. Eventhough the hotel might be a little more expensive than some hotels in other parts of the island, it is definitely worth it to relax here for a few days.

The breakfast was exceptional, loved the arrangement and the taste was mind blowing(super fresh and delicious).I highly reccomend booking the floating breakfast experience, it gives Maldives but in Zanzibar loved it you should try it too. Every food prepared here is super delicious and their presentation is everything. Friendly,available,attentive and super welcoming staff,always available at your service.

Erika and her team are the perfect hosts in this relaxed paradisiaque location. The ground floor rooms are excellent for a family of 4 with children. The pool and restaurant area just sublime, the view can get better. The beach is amazing at both high and low tide. The staff are so kind and friendly, restaurant food is great with a mix of local food and some western dishes at reasonable prices. You can kitesurf from the hotel doorstep and dive at the Mnemba atoll which has the best dive sites in Zanzibar. We have travelled around the world both for leisure and business and for sure this hotel ranks in our top 5 hotels. For discerning guests you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended. We stayed 4 nights, family of 4 (children aged 13 and 15) and wished we had stayed longer.

It was perfect, from cleanliness to food to staff. We couldnt ask for a better stay! It literally exceeded out expectations in every Way possible.

The whole experience at Imara was definitely memorable. From the welcoming to the check out we appreciated the kindness of the personnel. The hotel is nicely decorated, bringing peaceful and cocooning vibes to every cm of the place. The food and drinks were tasted and convenient for any kind of diet. We chose extra activities and do not regret the massage and excursion to Mnemba island as the company was serious and professional. To finish with what we liked the most: the pool and direct way to the beach!

Location - hotel right on the beach. Beautiful concept with little private "beach" just above the real one. Delicious breakfast with French creps as special order. Friendly staff : Innocent, Mao, Ed & Albert ready to help any time with good sense of humor.

Tourists from outside and babies with pampers using the pool. Carpet arround the bed looks nice but not good for beach location. Bathroom needs more towel hangers.

The hotel and the facilities were great - it all looks very well looked after and it is very clean. The rooms were always made perfectly and the location next to beach is lovely. The owner Erika was also a very big help prior our stay and answered any questions immediately.

We had high expectations on this place and were really looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately though we were a little disappointed at the beginning of our stay due to some hick-ups, such as very long (almost 40 mins) waiting time for a coffee at breakfast or non existent sun beds at the pool / beach (as other guests occupied them at the beach and pool whilst having own sun beds in front of their rooms). Generally, it also felt like that there was no privacy at all at the hotel. Every time we left the room (even if just going on our balcony) or came back from the beach one of the staff members showed up. Also the Maasai (that generally do not even live on Zanzibar which makes it all feel a little fake) were always present and we often had the feeling of being watched. At the end of the day, it is not a cheap place to stay; so when considering the cost; we feel like it was not worth the money.

The rooms was awesome, the staff very freindly and very charming when cartering for your needs as a guest. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come stay again next year.

The service was very good, the staff are very accommodating and helpful. They gave us everything we needed and even more than we expected. The food is very amazing, and we absolutely enjoyed our stay! We will defnitely recommend this to all our friends and family.

Location is like a small bubble on Sansibar. Boutique Character with a nice small pool directly at the beach. Tide was better than expected and the beach looks nice during low water phase. Staff is verz professional and go extra miles for in case of special needs. Staff is very kind and happy like the people on Sansibar. Food has good quality. You dont have to think about ice rockets, meet etc.. Was quite good.

The food was exceptional, authentic Italian cuisine as well as local dishes! The views from the restaurant / pool area are breathtaking, we highly recommend to book a sea view room as it comes with a "private" little beach area on your own terrace with sun beds.

A LITTLE BIT FAR

I want to say a great thanks to the staff. They did everything and even more to make our stay perfect. The clean girls came only when we were not at the room, cleaned very fast and good, changed the towels every day. The hotel is very small and privet, all of the reooms have the great ocean view. i would recomend to book the rooms at the 1-st floor, cause you would have the private terrase with the sand and quik road to the ocean. Good restaraunt with tasty food.

The location. It's far away from the markets, restaraunts etc. It's good for a several days, but then it became boring, so we came back to the Paje Beach.

Everything at Imara is perfect!!!! the hotel, the accomodations, the location and all the staff are exceptionnals!!!!! thank you so much, we spend the most beautiful holidays with all of you!!

The view was amazing and the resort was clean, I loved the interior design as well. The staff was very friendly and made me feel at home. If there is anything, they’ll go out of their way to solve what ever problem you may have.
