Gorgeous Hotel, calm relaxing atmosphere, amazing sceneries of the golf field, beautiful classy design, beautiful library/ oak rooms, great 5 km walk in the forest.

Avoid! This hotel is falling apart from the severe lack of maintenance. It seems as though the owners are only interested in extracting profits and have neglected this grand hotel to ruins. Half of the lights in our room didn’t work. The light outside our room didn’t work so it was hard to see in the dark when going in and out. The kettle was broken. The TV plug was broken in half, exposing electrical wiring and it was dangerous to use so we didn’t. We reported this to reception on arrival but they just shrugged the shoulders and said ‘we know about this’. The bathroom door didn’t close. The water tank to the toilet took 5 minutes to refill so you have to remember not to use it immediately after another person. The mattress was very uncomfortable. It’s an open spring mattress with no padding on the top. You can feel the springs when laying in bed. The single glazing windows kept the weather out but not the noise. We heard children shouting from the pool most days. There is no air conditioning so be mindful when booking this in the summer, oh wait it’s Kenya so it’s always summer! Despite the list of restaurants and bars listed, therewere only two menus being used between all of them. They often ran out of things. One day they had none of the desserts on the menu. The service provided by the staff was wonderful but it does not make up for everything else. It’s difficult to understand how this hotel was allowed to be rated 5 star.

Very classy colonial style resort. A testemony of former glory, the hotel is Nice but a bit worn down. Very Nice for a gettaway, but not workable for business with wifi only working in lobby. Extremely uncomfortably hard madrasses. If you want air condition there is none. Very nice staff. Open and beautiful nature. A beauty near Nairobi.

We stayed here pre safari then decided to return after our safari. It suited us very well. It is in a quiet affluent suburb, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and nightlife. Beautiful grounds, nice golf course (I don’t play, but the course is beautifully tended), delicious meals ( B&B but had dinner in restaurant). The hotel maintains a traditional, characterful feel to it, which was part of the charm.

Thank you for an excellent stay. Friendly people, from the airport shuttle driver Moses, Sam at Check in, Fiona at reception and Concierge, nothing was too much trouble. Warm welcomes all round. Windsor have held on to their old traditional charm which was lovely. It has soul, warmth and history and that’s why I loved it.

Windsor was quite disappointing. The place is still quite lovely but standards have dropped significantly. The service was slow, food was so so but quite pricey. I had a terrible night with possible food poisoning on our second night there.

Windsor is an amazing hotel and golf resort. Spent ten days total and feel confident in giving it five stars as a great place to stay when visiting Nairobi.

The services offered were extremely amazing. Good staff as well as excellent customer service.

OK, for the rest. Room cleanliness 2 stars. Windows haven't been cleaned for probably 5 years. Room lighting: poor. No kettle. Restaurants: average at best. No cheese available for 3 days in one of the 2 restaurants meaning half the things on the menu not available. One day I can understand, but not 3. I offered to go to the supermarket the next day and buy them some cheese. Because of it's location, travelling out for dinner as an alternative was difficult. Wifi: average at best. Golf course greens; very ordinary condition boarding on not worth playing.

Great location fantastic views. The hotel needs to be remodeled and modernized. It was freezing in Nairobi and there was no means to regulate the temperature in the rooms.

Nice hotel, but staff quite low. Dinner took more than 1 hour despite beign almost alone.

Services could be improved for 21st century guest comfort:- no tea / coffee maker in room so if you need to have a coffee at 3am, you need to call the butler,- no iron / ironing table. Irons are rationed over many rooms so you wind up either wearing crumpled clothes or engaging hotel laundry to straighten a shirt. - creaky bedposts and wooden floor boards.
