The stay is amazing!!! Clean environment and nice staffs. First time South Carolina trip with great stay, next time I will recommend my friends to stay here! They have bottles in the room, sparkling water and water provided! I lived on the 2 nd floor, I was worried that it gonna be noise in the low level but it’s not. The market street close early, won’t affect you!

For a high end hotel, they didn’t hire enough people to work the valet parking and no porter to help with luggage to the front desk or room. The coffee machine in our floor wasn’t working for our two nights stay. The room and closet space are tiny for the price.
2.5
Such a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful hotel and such thoughtful detailed amenities. Details like the water bottles and each floor having a water dispenser, coffee station on every floor and the complimentary drinks. We especially loved the complimentary bikes that we used to ride through Charleston. Would love to come back again

We’ve stayed several times at the Emeline and have always enjoyed it. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, and Frannie and the Fox is an awesome spot too!
2.5
Amazing boutique hotel right in the heart of all the downtown sights. Really cool mod centry modern decor. Great amenities with a restaurant and coffee shop in the building. Complementary coffee and water machine on every floor. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Lots of spaces to hang out and enjoy a coffee or drink from the bar, or work at the tables.

It's a very nice hotel however...
If there's is an event or private function be prepared to be treated second best. They heavily prioritize groups and leave regular patrons feeling a little left pushed aside. While we were there two floors had water fountains out of service.
Last but not least the standard rooms are SMALL. I mean REALLY small. It was pretty disappointing. We've stayed here a few times and each day was nice... But not without it's challenges.

The hotel is very nice. Our room view was of the outside courtyard. All lit up in Christmas decor. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy much of the property amenities as we just needed a place to stay after a work holiday party downtown. The only complaint is the parking. Valet is $55/night. On street is free only until 5am. Was not going to get up that early to move my car. And the parking garage a block away was not operating so we parked in another garage three blocks away.

Average stay. Beware if you are allergic to animals. The property is very pet friendly (they’re everywhere), but I didn’t realize. Itchy red eyes throughout. They offered to move into another room, but could guarantee it would be any better.
Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Free coffee is great. Loved the free bike rentals and coffee shop downstairs.
Outdoor patio with the winter tents was cool until a rat walked right up to us then ran into the bushes, ahh!!
Overall, pictures make it look much better than it really was. I’d look elsewhere in the future.

Very nice hotel with great dining at Frannie and Fox. The glass bottle sodas and little snacks in the room is a nice touch. We also received a free welcome cocktail. The room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable.

Really nice hotel, very nicely done with great bar and really nice amenities and services

Amazing location. Weddings were going on all weekend so the hotel was very loud. Music played until after 11 at night which was very loud and we could not sleep. Kitchen shut down on Saturday during the day for the entire afternoon to “get ready for wedding.” Bar was full of people getting drinks from the wedding and there was no room. Overall I loved the location and wanted to love this place but felt like they prioritized weddings over hotel guests so would not recommend this hotel during a weekend

Great property, excellent location, great staff, good restaurant, great bar. Room was a bit small, but comfortable.

We spent 4 nights at the Emeline and really enjoyed our stay. You are right next to the city market, carriage tours and many restaurants, bars and shopping as well as an easy stroll through historic neighborhoods. Our room was swanky with a turntable and plush velvet couch living room with separate kind bedroom. Loved it!

So many great aspects: free bike usage, location(!), employees, and water station. Unfortunately, our room was on the side above the restaurant and its outdoor seating. Loud music playing all day and the first night all night. We did ask that they turn it off by 11 and they were great about it for subsequent nights- but it as annoying nonetheless. Our room was very tiny too.

Outstanding Property. The location was great, it was clean the staff was outstanding and kind and accommodating. I would stay here again in a heart beat! Don't hesitate to book Emeline for your Charleston trip.

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my life! The small touches were incredible - the glass water bottles, the turn down service, the happy hour, the candles in the lobby, the little ice bags! I loved it

The hotel is a great location & has a great restaurant & bar. Also a nice coffee shop. The rooms are very small and loud.

Spotty service. Terrible room first night with view of parking lot thru wet paint doors and AC would not heat and door security deadbolt wouldn’t turn. And they upgraded me to a nice room on street//lots of partying. Restaurant ok, concierge a dragon. Could improve given the price.

Great stay and amazing property in perfect location

This hotel has so much potential! It’s in the best part of Charleston; so close to the water, very walkable, a great restaurant inside (Frannie and the Fox). However it’s just not clean. Our room was cute, but gross. The toilet little plastic things that cover bolts on the back of toilet were broken off, there was noticeable dinginess on the baseboards, and we had 2 ROACHES in our room on the last day. We didn’t spend much time in the room the other days so I’m guessing there were more. We did mention it to the front desk, but they were just grossed out and didn’t offer any sort of accommodation. The workout
is truly gross.. it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in ages. If this place could get its cleaning act together it could be 5 star.

check in was great, concierge and valet were always friendly and nice. Frannies restaraunt was good once you were inside, but the greeting staff were not nice they were not welcoming and made you feel they were doing you a favour when they seated you.
the bed, shower and room were very good.

The hotel was wonderful, I received a welcome cocktail at check-in, which was tasty. The food at the restaurant was pretty good. I ordered a pizza to the room and by time it arrived it was cold. The hotel did remove the charge at checkout. I also loved the record player in the room. The hotel was busy but also quiet. The only complaint I had, was being on the third floor near the gym, I could hear the weights being dropped on the floor. Other than that the hotel is near plenty of shops and eateries. Overall a great choice.

Great service. The rooms are quite small so we ended up upgrading to a suite. Very convenient location, walkable area. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is oddly shaped and floors do not connect together. There is a long walk to the rooms which takes you past the interior courtyard half of which was not occupied. The room

The Emilie is a unique and wonderful hotel experience. The venue and service are high quality. The location is excellent by putting you in the middle of shopping, dining, history and entertainment.
In just one evening, my spouse and I enjoyed shopping at the Night Market, Haunted Carriage ride followed by drinks at the hotel bar.
This is a place that we’d highly recommend to singles, couples and families.

The property was beautiful, the staff were so welcoming and lovely to speak to. Would recommend to everyone

I enjoyed the dining areas on the property. I also appreciated the espresso machines and sparkling water/water stations on each floor. I did not enjoy having to relocate to a second room due to finding bugs in both of the beds in our initial room. That experience put a damper on the entire stay for myself and my companion.
