Room was noisy-banging doors, barking dog nearby, could hear thumping of music from event above (it stopped on time, thankfully). Felt gloomy and got a dark room with little views.

When I arrived late because of my flight being delayed I was dropped off by an Uber at 1:15 AM with my bag. I rang the outside doorbell to get in and no one responded. I knocked and tried calling the number on the valet stand but still got nothing. I was quite scared as a solo female standing outside in the middle of the night and no one around. Finally someone from the front desk saw me and came and let me in. He was very non chalant, said the buzzer was broken, didn’t offer to carry my bag up the steps and didn’t seem to care when I told him I was getting very panicked outside. It wasn't a very good way to start a trip that was very stressful to begin with to see my very ill father,

We travel between Boston and Toronto often and need to stay over one night at the midway point. Many hotels are hit and miss but this one was perfect for our family. Historic charm, cleanliness, great service and friendly staff and all at a reasonable price. And its downtown - so a great opportunity to check out the beautiful city of Syracuse.

The property itself was fine. My room had 2 broken lamps, toilet paper holder fell off, sticky surfaces, knock on my door @ 855am w/no announcement then someone entering my room. I addressed these issues with the MOD and hopefully they will get taken care of.

I have never stayed at a Marriott that didn't have a pool and didn't have a taxi stand. Not only did it not have a taxi stand but when you ask the manager to call you a taxi, he sends a text message and when they never reply after over 30 minutes, he doesn't do anything except tell you to take a bus but if you go to the Valet manager he gets on his cell phone, gets through right away and a taxi is there in a few minutes. Bizarre. I have never seen a Marriott more understaffed. Only one person working at the front desk. To get your car from Valet you have to text (there is no other option for some bizarre reason) and when I did so, car was not ready after 20 minutes and I had to pay for the Valet at the Valet, it was not charged to the room which I have never seen before at a Marriott before, it's as if, this isn't a real Marriott.

It is a beautiful and historic building. Morning coffee service needs to be more readily available, that is definitely a drawback to the location, but the pub spot for a quick bite is great. Rooms are great and updated.

This is just a beautiful, iconic hotel. The stay was great! We were very comfortable during our short visit to Syracuse.
4.3
It was ok. The shower had hair on the tiles when we arrived and the body wash bottle was completely empty. The beds were not comfortable at all. The in house dining had no information regarding pricing when we walked in and we had to wait 10 minutes before anyone noticed we were there. The front desk staff gave terrible directions on how to get into the restaurant attached to the hotel. They told us to go outside to enter in which you can’t enter from the outside of the building at least in the morning. The valet person told us where to go to buy breakfast items across the street. The directions were terrible to find self parking at night because all the streets are 1 way. I would not stay here again.

The neighborhood was OK, however it was a little depressed. There seemed to be a lot of homeless. Neighborhoods to the east and to the Northwest seemed a bit nicer

Beautiful art deco hotel completely full of mold… omg

Accidently left 3 expensive shirts in room upon leaving.
Hotel would not arrange the return of my clothes

Loved it here!
I’ve been here before and was so excited that they renovated the majority of the hotel.
There are restaurants and food options on the first floor, which are very convenient to get it.
Our room was very spacious and comfortable.
I’m so glad that I booked this hotel. I’ll definitely be staying here again

Facility was like stepping back in time (in a good way). Very historical. Staff was awesome.
4.3
It was dirty and over priced and it was the only hotel that I stayed at that did not provide parking for there quest .I stayed at a holiday Inn express that was 100 times better than this place. This place gives Marriott a bad image.
4.3
The hotel itself is a nice, old building in the heart of downtown Syracuse. The problem was with check in/out. Their system went down before we arrived and the were wholey unprepared to deal with it. It took us an hour to get checked in and we weren't offered anything for the inconvenience. As we were not checked in properly, check out also took longer than typical. They really need a process in place for system outages.

We love restored properties and this one has been lovingly and properly done. The staff made us feel so welcome. There are museum materials and a beautiful reading room on the mezzanine.
4.3
Everything was great, the design of the room was the only issue. The AC right above the bed and the cold air hitting you directly in the head was the issue.
4.3
This classic hotel is gorgeous. It is well-maintained and clean. Staff is amazing--incredibly helpful, polite, pro-active, and efficient. Some of our issues in getting to the hotel are not the hotel's fault--there is a lot of construction happening in downtown Syracuse and coupled with all the one-way streets means that if there are no on street parking spaces in front you'll spend the next 15 minutes at least driving around. Their parking garage adds $19 a day to your hotel bill and the garage is 2 blocks away. The parking issue was the biggest turn-off for us since we have kids. Everything else was great. We will use this hotel again and just factor in the added time for parking and loading/unloading.

An historical hotel that’s well maintained and up kept.

Great beautiful hotel ! Staff was pleasant and valet was very accommodating!
4.3
The computer system was down and they were unable to check anyone in. The line for the front desk was VERY long and yet they were doing very little to share information or to try and make anyone happy. The customer service was BAD!! While the line to find out what was going on was still crazy long, I went outside and found one of the front desk people on a smoke break! Do your job, then take a break!
4.3
Excellent decor. Valet parking is essentially required, perhaps should be considered as part of the room costs.
4.3
I love everything about it. The staff is outstanding especially

Room was very nicely redone. Very cool old building. Hotel is still a renovation in progress and will eventually be a top notch place to stay.

Great stay, Luke at Eleven Waters was amazing!
4.3
Well located downtown. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Pretty expensive breakfast buffet but the quality was good. Only Valet Parking is available at the hotel so you need to park in a public parking just behind the hotel.
4.3
Nice hotel. Exceptionally friendly helpful staff

Overall, very pleased. The room was great.

This is a heads up for those booking. The Marriott paid parking is 3 blocks away the hotel. It is across the street from their port authority bus terminal. There are homeless people all over the area. I cancelled my reservation because they did not disclose the safety issue.

Good job

The young lady (I believe her name was Clarette) was phenomenal at the front desk! She recommended a great place to eat across the street.
