Nice pub and rooms, only criticism is the beds are very noisy, so every time you turned over it woke everyone up. Room 21

Phone call before i arrived to update me on procedure. Bathroom was lovely clean and looked new. Towels were lovely and fresh and bed linen was spotlessly clean. Bedroom furniture was old fashioned but usable and door matt appeared very dirty and stained. Walls a bit thin could hear someone coughing all night. But great stop over very clean and easy check in and out

Very friendly staff and nice enough room. Bed wasn't particularly comfy but ok for one night, would have struggled with longer. Parking spaces are tiny so most cars parked over 2 spaces. Pub was busy so consider booking in advance if you want food - if the weather hadn't been good, I wouldn't have been able to eat there as there were no available tables inside.

Outside lock did not appear to be in 100% condition staff were wonderful allocating us a downstairs room because I forgot to mention when booking I was disabled because of issue above we eventually went upstairs although they did offer us out money back.. lovely staff… the mattress I could feel the springs on my body sleep was a little restless

Staying in room 3D was not an experience to repeat, whoever was in the room above sounded like they were moving furniture around a wooden floor for over 2 hours until after midnight, then started again at 7am. Road noise was also very noticeable. Car park spaces are really small too, so was worried about door dings. Food was good though!

The place in general had a nice feel to it and looked pleasant. The room its self while it was clean it had a grubby look to it. Could do with redecoration. Bathroom was well presented and nicely laid out. The was a smell present upon entry to the room which was like what I imagine a barn would smell like. Facilities for making a tea or coffee were provided, however the kettle lead did not reach the socket. Bed was quite comfortable. All in all as a place to put your head down it was ok. Bar closes early but breakfast was reasonably priced and very tasty.

Nice Hotel

I paid a very low amount for a room so didn't expect much. Free easy parli v lots of space Had a lovely friendly welcome in the pub from a nice lady who checked us in. Pub was busy which was nice to see Our room was much bigger, modern and spacious than I thought. Lovely clean linen on the beds, kettle and tea and also towels (I booked on hotel.com and it mentioned towels not included) We had a twin room, lovely and comfortable mattress and pillows. We slept really well Only small comment which is just a polite suggestion and not negative feedback but a new shower head would be good in room15 as it seemed quite old, and the inside of the main door could do with a paint,. These are very small things and we had a great stay thank you great value!

Really friendly staff, room was great value for money, as was the menu at the pub. Would gladly stay again! Only slight negative was that the wifi seemed to be down but good enough 4G for it to have not been an issue.

Landlady was lovely and really helpful. Pub was nice, plenty of parking and the room had all you need. Nothing spectacular but I’d be happy to stay again.

Only minor niggle is that I paid for a double room and got a twin. Absolutely spot on every other way tho.

Lovely room for the price just a few issues. Kettle did not reach plug socket where it was. The shower flooded extremely easily, it had to be turned off mid shower to avoid too much water leaking out. Toilet did not flush properly and the seat was loose. Overall a nice enough stay for 2 nights.

Excellent place to stay for the price.

Stayed for a night, was really nice and a really cute english room. Only thing was dust falling down form the air vent in the bathroom. Other than that everything was perfect.

Smooth check in Good room Heating was on and room was toasty warm which is a blessing when it's freezing outside Only complaint is single glazing in this room meant road noise was noticeable

Check in was good as was the customer service. Room was a good size and bathroom was ok, the shower wasn't great thought asit kept dropping. Bed was ok but not the most comfortable but i slept ok. There was tea and coffee available in the room but the tv didn't work. I can't rate the breakfast as i didn't have any.

Lovely pub, good parking, decent food. Warm shower. Only downside, bed was very very hard, and the person below me had their tv blaring till gone 2 in the morning. But that’s not the fault of the hotel. Would stay here again.

Easy check-in clean room. Only worry was the adjoining door wasn't locked in my side. Pub next door was friendly with reasonably priced food.

Quiet bedroom

Room clean and comfortable but there was an event evening in the bar / Restaurant and a limited menu that was not aware of when booking ( day before arrival) would have been nice to have been informed of this event before arrival

If you want luxury, pay luxury prices. If you want comfort and essentials at a reasonable price then this is for you. The lovely staff and great food the pub has to offer is an absolute bonus. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious, great value for money and relaxed. Parking is plentiful - i didn't use the wi-fi or visit the surrounding area so cannot comment If youre looking for somewhere to rest your head for a night or two then i can wholeheartedly recommend the crown inn.

Excellent room and service, really good value for money

IT'S a little tricky to find with the crazy one way system the first time you visit,Breakfast starting so late in the morning i think they said around 10ish ?. That's crazy .but for the price for a night is excellent, that's i stay there when I can friendly good service good beer and food and a quiet location very close to major road links.

Very basic accommodation bathroom very small shower tiles black in between Disappointed breakfast didn’t start until 10am so couldn’t wait that long
