Fantastic overall experience in term of property - building and surroundings (middle of a park), room, concierge service, etc - restaurant food good, copious and varied - service very slow and could be more attentive - overall very pleasant experience and would definitely return - apparently property is changing owners currently and future experience may be different from ours

It’s a beautiful hotel with colonial architecture. Located near a historical site, it was nice to visit the sites at Fort Canning Park. It is centrally located but quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel, quiet, right at Fort Canning park. Booked a premium room, which was very comfortable. Liked the patio area with a desk where I could do my work. All staff was very polite. Hotel was quiet and private. Easy short walk to Dhoby Ghaut. Was also presented with a chocolate tart and fruit compote for my birthday. Delicious!

During my recent stay, I encountered an interesting approach to the check-in process at this hotel. Rather than having a traditional queue system or designated line, the staff relied on their observation skills to determine the order of guests. This unique method created a rather fascinating experience.
Unfortunately, the absence of a clear queue left many of us in a state of confusion. It was quite the adventure trying to decipher when it was actually our turn, resulting in some awkward moments where guests inadvertently appeared to be cutting the line.
While the check-in process certainly kept us on our toes, I sincerely hope the hotel considers implementing a more structured system in the future. A bit of clarity in this area could greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

We had a great stay at Hotel Fort Canning, it was easy to get around and the location was very central.
The breakfast was OK, both western and Asian meals to choose from.

I loved that my stay was within the relaxing Fort Canning Park. The rooms were clean and generous and the pool was a great way to relax mid afternoon when the Singapore heat was at its peak. The food offered in the restaurant and for room service was some of the best I've had at a hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for its location and beautiful surrounds.

Fort Canning is a beautiful green spot of historical significance in central Singapore. The hotel is surrounded by greenery and just a 5-10 min walk through the park to public transport or restaurants. Friendly atmosphere, great breakfast, nice pool area and gym.

An interesting building with quirky but spacious rooms. We liked the open view to park but others might feel it too exposed from bathroom area (there are very effective electric blinds!).
Evening menu in the Salon restaurant was fine and good value for Singapore, Breakfast was ok but not a massive choice of fruit.
Staff were all efficient but not particularly proactive in welcoming you or checking if you needed to know about the facilities or area.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and as long as you like walking through the park, it’s an excellent quiet location between the busy areas leaving you all options (Marina, Quayside, Orchard Rd. City Hall) to explore on foot. There are metro stations in all
Directions within 7-10 mins walk but because of the steps and paths it’s worth getting a cab on arrival if you have big cases.

Lovely hotel. Not cheap but a really great location for exploring Singapore. Nice room with garden. The pool area was good. A few little niggles considering the price paid, but overall a good stay.

Hotel Fort Canning is in a very convenient location. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. However, the attendant at b/f takes your egg order as you walk in and then your eggs are ready - or not as you like ie raw - at your table before you have chosen any other food such as juice or cereal or toast so that the egg dish sits there on the table getting very cold. Why do this procedure? Why not give the guests sometime to eat a little before taking the egg order? Very strange. The building is nearly 100 years old and to make the ensuite for each room, the balcony has been closed in with sheer glass so it's possible to be observed in the shower or on the toilet from outside. There are full length blinds but if they are down, then there is no view or natural light in the room. Some opaque glass at reasonable height would fix the problem on the outside glass as well as the glass b/w the bedroom and the ensuite. Not very well thought out. The hotel is within easy walk of Orchard Road.

I've been coming to the Fort Canning a couple of times per year since 2017. It used to be a fabulous 5-star hotel but after the pandemic is definitely not one any longer.
The staff is untrained and not solution oriented. The breakfast is shamefully bad in a culinary mecca like Singapore. Half of the equipment in the gym is broken. The koi fish live in deplorable conditions where they don't have the necessary depth of water, space, or shade. No towels by the poolside or in the gym – you have to request them from reception every single time. Air conditioning barely cools down the room when working at max capacity. Bar grossly overpriced. Whole building, inside and outside, is relatively run down.
All in all, it seems that the hotel badly needs a management overhaul.

The room was just like what’s depicted in the pictures - super excellent. Housekeeping was fantastic - super clean. Also enjoyed the fact that Fort Canning Park was just behind. Will be back again if I’m in Sg.

Nice old building that used to be a military HQ. Right in Ft Canning so great area. Rooms fine, bathrooms big, nice views of park. Gym great n nice pools
