Feel Very lucky to book with you, super friendly team … the girls at the reception are the friendliest ever people… went beyond their job … Becca guided me to their car park over the phone step by step … honestly meeting the team, made my day … the room was fabulous location is great breakfast was awesome thanks to the chef … can’t recommend the place enough win win case

If given Room 15/Garden Room be prepared not to get any sleep. The price for the booking was not cheap and when checked in the guy made a passing comment that there may be slight noise in the morning as it’s below the Kitchen. We made our booking in February so not a last minute booking and was allocated this room.
Unfortunately the noises started from the very start and resembled a herd of elephants running from one side of the room to the other, this continued until 11pm when we went upstairs and asked how long this would continue? The lady asked the man to stop dropping the mop bucket on the floor… It stopped for a small period and then started again until 10 past one in the morning. Unfortunately for us it did start again at 6am, so no we did not get any sleep.
Before we checked out we overheard the staff having a conversation about us asking when it would stop and one said “what did they expect, it’s a bleep operating kitchen”.
When checking out, we made the guy aware of our disappointment and he was apologetic. He mentioned this room now comes with a warning of how loud this room is, not sure why we didn’t get this?
We did receive a discounted rate which was appreciated but didn’t make up for the spoiled trip.

Nice room above a pub, perfectly located in the center of Harrogate, within walking distance of everything.
Room and bathroom are big, comfy bed. Excellent breakfast selection, from full Yorkshire, American pabcakes, cereals, etc.

It's an ideal location with plenty of restaurants and bars around. Free parking is definitely a huge bonus. The breakfast is cooked fresh to order with plenty of options. Excellent shower
the downside was the bed we had was far too soft felt like it was sagging and it was rather low.

We had an amazing stay! Started off from a lovely warm welcome where nothing was too much trouble. The room was really nice! Yes there was a bit of noise from the high street but nothing excessive and certainly didn't impact our stay. The bed was lovely and comfy. Breakfast was really tasty and a good choice available.

Hotel was in a good location great bonus having free car park although very small. Unfortunately the room we had had a ripped chair, and could do with a little TLC also we had to wait a while for pillow cases to be delivered to our room, the head of house keeping was new and assured us he was gradually improving things. The breakfast was lovely cooked fresh with plenty of choice.

We had the penthouse right at the top of the Inn. Amazing room with lots of space. Small kitchen with cooker and fridge. Tea and coffee facilties, lityle balcony overlooking the main street.

The Inn is an extremely inviting place. The bar and restaurant area are really good. Food is exceptional we stayed on b&b basis and the breakfast is one of the best I've had. Room was large with a great bathroom. We managed to get parked at the hotel but there are limited spaces available. Great location for getting about in Harrogate with everything in a short walking distance. We would definitely stay again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room wasn’t very clean thick layer of dust on shelf next to bed and bathroom wasn’t clean. On second day bed had been made and tea/coffee replaced but bins weren’t emptied and bathroom sink not cleaned. Location was great town centre only a couple of minutes walk away. Breakfast was free and food was delicious although service was slow.

Service was excellent, staff were friendly, plenty of tea/coffee & milk in the room. The cleanliness in the room was poor, the room was full of dust including inside of the fan & wood panelling, the bathroom had a strip of what looked like blood down the wall near the toilet

Great location, great staff, great food. Bedroom hadn’t been well cleaned on our arrival, sticky cup marks on bedside tables. Bedroom was very noisy as directly above bar and adjacent to the bar toilets so very noisy at bedtime until pub closed at 12pm. Bad for people who turn in early

Nice place very near shops restaraunts , freindly staff very helpful. Stayed in room 10 very large room, comfy bed everything you could need the only fault we could pick was toilet not very private as just frosted glass doors gaps under and above. Free parking on site around the back, breakfast was lovely :)

Stayed one night, have to say it was one of the best places we've ever stayed for price, location, quality, value for money.
Easy access for the town, shopping nightlife etc.
Room was masive, cozy , clean , with a big separate bathroom.
We ate in the pub/ bar restaurant in the evening it was beautiful and plentiful.
Full range of real ales too.
All staff are friendly and very attentive.
Excellent breakfast from full English to continental.
Free parking too.
We will be back in the summer.

Lovely accommodation, well located to restaurants, bars & shops, and Harrogate Baths which we visited. We had the ‘penthouse’ which was on the top floor with a rolltop bath in the room and a balcony - gorgeous! We had bad weather (it was December) so didn’t use the balcony but everything was clean, comfortable and upto expectations. The included breakfast was ordered off a menu rather than buffet, much preferred, and was varied with great portions. There were a LOT of stairs to our room, not an issue for us but anyone with mobility issues/ small children etc would struggle. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

We had a lovely stay. Hotel was lovely and staff really friendly and do a fantastic job. Breakfast was beautiful and hearty. We stayed in a room which was at the back of hotel over the road. Wouldn't of chose this room but it was ok. Would of much preferred to have a room in the actual hotel. If we stay again i would request we want a room in the hotel. Room was adequate though with a lovely bathroom and all the amenities we needed. Tea and coffee and biscuits were provided. Would definitely stay here again as it was central to everything.

Fine room though it was adjacent to the main road which was very noisy until midnight and then from 4am. We struggled to get any decent sleep and spoilt both our days out in Harrogate and York.
Sunday night - we ate in the restaurant with a very limited menu. The burger was cold, the roast dinner was only just ok. We enjoyed a local restaurant on the Monday instead of dining in the hotel.

Everyone at the Cheltenham Inn were so welcoming from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. I travelled with my partner and 9 year old daughter. Everyone made an effort to interact with her which she enjoyed. We checked in late (8.45pm). We were all really hungry after a 3hr drive. Food was about to close but we were provided a lovely table and provided great service. The food was delicious. Another nice touch was a loyalty scheme you can sign up for. Upload £5 and you are given £10. We spent £50 on food and drink which then gave us an extra £4 reward which went towards a delicious cocktail off the menu. Really happy with the room as well. Spacious, character and comfortable beds. We had a double and a single.
Only negative was that the hotel is in the centre of the city. The hotel has a very small car park to the rear but was full when we got there. We paid to park on the main street (Free overnight and about £5 for 3 hrs from 8am). We then moved the car round to the free car park once other guests checked out while we spent a few hours out and about. Great location, 7 minute walk to the train station.

Enjoyed our two night stay in very convenient location. Had large room at front of building so was a bit noisy with traffic from about 6.30 am. Comfy bed. Radiator in bathroom didn’t seem to heat up properly and there was nowhere to hang your bath towel after use. Lovely evening meal served by friendly staff. Service at breakfast was slow but good choice of menu. Coffee on first morning was miserably weak, though improved on second day. Overall, pretty good!

The staff were friendly and the food was good. The room needed a refresh as doors on bathroom cabinet needed replacing. Some of the milk capsules for tea in the room were out of date. Overall a great location for Harrogate and train station.
