Small but clean room. Walkable to the beach. The things we did not like mainly was the shower. The shower area was only surrounded by a curtain with nothing to contain the shower water on the floor, which made the whole bathroom floor heavily flooded with large amount of water flown to toilet and sink area once you took the shower. We had to use three bath towers to soak and clean the water on the floor before we can step into the bathroom after a shower. It was very annoying and frustrating. The hotel is located in a small town with only one restaurant that closes at 8pm.

Pros: great location, large apartment (we stayed in the 2 bedder), nice gardens, great toys/spade/games borrowing system. Cons: was quite expensive for what it is I thought, no servicing until day four which I didn’t realise until we got there, we had to ask for milk & tea, unfortunately (and this isn’t the operators fault but with the road and trail closures at the moment, it is hard to get to (not impossible but takes longer than you might think) plus the Cathedral Cove walk is shut so you can’t see it unless you go on a boat charter.

Location is perfect - couldn't be any more central good for couples and families

We only had time to stay one night at the Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort, but we wish it was more! Our room was spacious, charmingly furnished, and lovingly decked out to feel intimate and personal. The restroom was cozy but not too tight. There was a good amount of space for storage and spreading out. The manager, Young, was indispensible in giving us the lay of the land and setting expectations when we arrived. Not only did he let us know all the food and market places nearby and their hours (the neighboring Pour House is excellent, btw), he provided valuable information about the walk to Cathedral Cove and Hahei Beach, current local restrictions, and different transportation options. He was also super nice and friendly. The Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort's personal touch was greatly appreciated, and we really enjoyed our brief but lovely stay here!

Enjoyed our stay at Tatahi Lodge. Hahei is a small town, and the lodge is convenient to the Cafes, the General Store and just a few minutes walk from the beach. Very quiet area. Room was clean and comfortable and felt good. Door and windows out to lovely garden area. Would definitely stay again!

One of the neatest places we have ever stayed. Loved it there. Close to a lot of outdoor sightseeing. Owner was a super fellow. Stores and resturaunts are very near by. I want to go back soon.

Perfect location! Only 15mins walk to cathral cove view point, no need to take bus. Cafe n grocery shop only 1 min. Clean! Friendly staff! Free wifi n Neflex,too..I loved it!

Beautiful cottage like vibe with backyard lounge chairs. Even had a shovel available for hot water beach. A very lovely place near cathedral cove. Would stay there again if I’m ever back in the area!

Lovely stay, our accommodation was perfect for our family of 5. Had everything we needed and was warm and very clean. Lovely green surroundings gave a feel of privacy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great location close to the local cafe, brewery, the general store and GAS. Near to beaches and other attractions. Definitely will stay again and highly recommend.

the lodge was excellent. Close to everything but still quiet and peaceful. Easy walk to the beach. Gorgeous setting with tropical gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed.even a spade for hot water Outdoor areas for bbq

The location was ideal. the beach 5 minutes away, the shops and bar 1 minutes walk and Cathedral Cove was beautiful.

Great place. Got an upgrade to larger unit. Would have superb for small family. Lots of ammenities. Very welcoming. Nice and relaxed

Great location with super friendly staff and just a short walk to Cathedral Cove! This place is super relaxing and if you’re looking to visit Cathedral Cove definitely stay here! Rooms were very nice and included a small kitchenette which was a nice surprise. Manager gave us milk for tea upon checkin and parking is free.

Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort made us feel all the comforts of home well equipped with everything we needed including a nice outdoor patio, free parking, free WiFi, private bathroom and next to restaurants and supermarkets. The location was near Cathedral Cove Walkway, Hahei Beach and less than 10 minutes drive to Hot Water Beach. The front desk staff are friendly, helpful and amazing. Overall, we were very pleased and I would recommend this hotel to others that makes it out to the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand.
