Crisp and clean. Check-in was a breeze. Right in the heart of the Theater District in Boston. An easy walk to the Boston Common and Downtown Crossing.

The room had a weird odor to it. I wasn't quite sure if it was the cleaning chemicals they used or something else entirely. It was more of a slight annoyance rather than a deal breaker. The room amenities were very nice otherwise. Just be careful, they leave two metallic water bottles for your use throughout the stay. Unfortunately, you need to read the fine print, because once you crack the seal they charge you $7 per water bottle used. Come on, that's a nickel and dime business practice.

I had the best stay. We were attending a show at the Wang Center and the Moxy was so convenient being right next door. It was clean, minimalistic, and quiet.

Great stay at Moxy Boston. My room was small, but comfortable.
My only complaint was that there was no one there to let us know that there was no parking garage connected to the hotel. We had to push our luggage down the street.

This seemed like kind of a “hostel on steroids.” The room was tiny (although the bathroom was awesome!) and there’s a lot of emphasis on gathering in common areas to do fun things.
My greatest quibbles arise from this effort: (1) there is no coffee maker in the room, so one has to plod down to the far corner of the bar to pour a cup, by which point you feel as tho you should pay for it (but you don’t) and (2) similarly, use of any coupons is not an intuitive process, requiring interaction with a human, while opportunities to nickel and dime one’s credit are abound.
(Also, the constant pop / hip hop music in the lobbies and elevators was a bit much - but I’m old.)

Spent the night at the Moxy because it was near the Want center for a show my girlfriend came to see (Kevin Heart). The Kevin Heart show wasn’t the best. But at least our stay at the Moxy was very nice. Friendly service, clean room, and great atmosphere. This hotel will now be my place to stay whenever I come to Boston, the location is perfect. We also had a very good dinner at a restaurant in China town.

Overall had a very good stay. Room was good but shame it didn’t have a safe or fridge/ mini bar in the room. My second room was very quiet compared to the first. Breakfast voucher and what was offered was good. WIFI coverage was a bit frustrating and continuously kept dropping out. Location is great and very close to the Boston Common. Would I stay here again YES.

Very friendly staff, location was awesome!
We got the corner room with a beautiful view! Just breathtaking!
And compliments to the bartenders! Thank you!
2.5
Easy check in, great location, beautiful modern room.

4/5 only due to the noise. The hotel did have a sound machine, which I was thankful for… but the area is very noisy due to theaters and nightclubs in the area. It was our first trip to Boston and we were unfamiliar or else I would’ve probably booked elsewhere. Hotel was clean, staff was nice, location great as far as being close proximity to things. Only complaint was noise.

The night before I was scheduled to check out, the hotel checked somebody in for my room. Having some stranger walk into my room at 11:30 at night was unsettling at best. The front desk admitted their error, but I did not get a good night sleep. Upper floors may have to contend with top floor lounge and band sounds.

Most expensive and worst hotel on our Journey!
Rooms are very small and no space at all. Chairs or a table available to unfold only. No closet, no drawer, no space for clothes and no space for toiletries in the bathroom either. The Hotel is at a main street and it is verly loud as you literally sleep on the street.
However, Best thing is the free welcome Cocktail as it knocks you out- which helps to fall asleep quickly at the noisy street.
There are definetely better places to stay in Boston!

It was a concrete box. No closet—only wall pegs to hang things. No drawers to store things so I had to stack my things on a folding table (I had to set it up) or on the floor.

The room was small, very clean, the bathroom was nice and had good water pressure. Be aware though, if you're staying here in a weekend expect loud nights. The Moxy is located in between a bunch of nightclubs. The noise on my Saturday night stay went until about 3am. This isn't the fault of the hotel, but be aware the reality of the neighborhood in which you are staying.
And speaking of: location was great for what I needed, easy walks to the start of Freedom Trail, Fenway is a 40 or so minute walk, but plenty to look at on the way over. Quick trip from and to Boston Logan as well.

My room was quiet, I did not hear the outside noise. However I had to walk several blocks with my suitcase to park in the garage for the hotel. The hotel was modern and good looking inside.

Great place to stay. Good staff

Property was extremely noisy although a strike was going on as well as street noise. Beds are way too small and there is no other choice of beds. Property decor is very dark.
Food is minimal and self served and served in cardboard boxes. Tables in common area were not cleaned.
I would not recommend this hotel

The stay was okay but the rooms were very small and I didn’t like all the added fees that I’ve dealt with because I put my room in affirm because I couldn’t afford all of it and then there were all these destination fees when I got there but overall it was a cool hotel just wasn’t for me

Horrible experience. The staff were terrible. The area is loud, dirty, unsafe. There was a strike going on during our stay and I was told repeatedly by the workers striking to F*** Off every time I walked into the hotel.

The rooms are MUCH smaller than we thought with no amenities like mini fridge or anything but designed well. I’d stay again!

The hotel is in a great location and very clean. We would prefer a better hotel restaurant and bar but there are many options in the area.

Second stay at the Moxy. Small rooms but clean and modern. Great breakfast service. Front desk accommodated us with quieter room on 22nd floor. Reasonable rates. Fun music and vibe. I recommend!

Love the moxy!

It is very loud outside. The hotel blasts music during the weekends, making it difficult to sleep even on the higher floors.
The rooms are extremely small. There is no closet, so you have to hang your clothes on pegs on the wall. There is no refrigerator.
It's also a bit rundown. The latch on the bathroom door was broken, so the door would not close, and the rickety bed made a noise every time we moved. Would not recommend to anyone.

It was loud despite providing a sound machine and ear plugs. I was also not expecting a bar/club atmosphere in the lobby. The rooms were also strange. Side tables and chairs hung on the wall. Had to set up chair and table to have surface available.

This hotel has a great vibe and the rooms are beautifully appointed for such a small space. I don’t think I’ve stayed at such an expensive hotel with such crappy pillows in my entire life even the Fairfield Inn, which is miles below this chain had better pillows needless to say I did not sleep very well And I gave the feedback to the hotel. I was pretty much just blown off.

AC was terrible, thermostat indicated room temperature as 66F when it was around 76, the compressor would turn on, terrible first night, called it in, they send a maintenance technician and all of a sudden (after fixing the it was bypassed and tricked) the thermostat when to real temp and compressor started working. Shower door wouldn’t keep closed very inconvenient. They charge for water, not the best, definitely would go to the W at fornt nextbtime

The location is fantastic and the hotel is contemporary and artsy.
The downside is that it is that the entire experience was LOUD. We didn’t sleep. Between the outside noise of sirens, cars honking in synchrony at 2:00 am and the all night disco, it was a bit over the top. They did provide complimentary earplugs, which is also a dead giveaway that there’s a noise problem.
It also felt like sensory overload in the elevators and common areas with loud music blasting at all times of the day (including the early morning). Could make some slight adjustments to this to create a more welcoming atmosphere.
The room was modern and ridiculously small (think European size), with no room to spread out or to put our luggage. Breakfast was great!
Overall, wouldn’t recommend the hotel and would not return. Not my cup of tea.

I don't know what this rating ends up as, but the hotel was great for me and my wife to stay at. I felt it was centrally located to get to the Norh (Little Italy) side, East (Tea Party), Back Bay (Fenway), and Beacon Hill. Very close to Boston Common and the Garden next to it. So if you are walkers like we are the location is excellent. The rooms are tiny, but VERY clean. The check it staff was great. The bar seemed understaffed for morning and night. Morning was just disorganized (nice people, but not enough) and evening seemed like the bartenders knew they were understaffed so it seemed a little less friendly. No issues with the people as I'm sure they are great, they just need more help. I would stay there again, but if we were older and not as mobile I think it would be tough. FYI, it is very noisy at night especially on the weekends, but the rooms provided ear plugs and a noise maker which was nice.

Very fun hotel, rooms include really only what is needed, great views of the city, fun bar level, friendly staff, and overall great atmosphere.

Stayed here for work for 4 nights. Its clear noise is an issue here— I was messaged directly prior to my arrival asking if I needed to be accommodated with a less noisy room— I replied yes and never heard a thing back. 2 of 4 nights I was repeatedly woken up by loud moaning coming from my neighboring room. Last night was a mix of the same at 2am, in addition to very loud sports cars drag racing between 2am-4am. Cute if not small and a bit tacky. Staff was friendly but there are plenty of price comparable rooms in the neighboring area where you will get a better night’s sleep. Oh yeah… terrible, flat pillows also. Bummer of a visit, was pretty tired at work most days of my stay.

Rooms are small, but fine for what our needs were. This hotel is definitely designed for a young crowd. We checked in late on a Thursday, which required awkwardly walking through a busy bar with all of our belongings to reach the desk. We were given a voucher for $35 towards breakfast and a couple of drink vouchers. We didn't end up using the drink tickets because our stay was so short. It was redeemable for a signature cocktail or a bottle of water for non drinkers. Breakfast was kind of mid, but at least it was included. Building was conveniently located and walkable to lots of different dining and shopping. The room was clean (minus one dirty face cloth) with large windows overlooking the city. We had to pay $40 to park in the garage a couple blocks away, which was unfortunately a separate cost, but that's Boston I guess. Overall the stay was fine for what we needed. You will feel right at home if you are into nightlife or younger than the ripe age of 30.
