My experience at this cabin in Helen, Georgia on Christmas Eve was simply exceptional. We spent unforgettable moments with family and friends in a cozy and picturesque setting. The cabin was spotlessly clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The view from the terrace of the river that runs behind the house was spectacular. Having coffee or chocolate or having a barbecue with that view was wonderful. The cozy atmosphere of the cabin, with its fireplace and rustic decoration, gave us a perfect atmosphere to enjoy the holiday season. Plus, the location close to outdoor activities and the lovely town of Helen added even more value to our stay. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing and cozy escape in the mountains of Georgia.

We went to Helen during the Christmas season and you can see the town through the woods all lit up while standing on the cabin's deck. The well-equipped kitchen and outside grill and flat top grill were so convenient that we ate in most of the weekend! This house was so clean and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked. The river is just steps from the back porch. Our grandsons loved sitting in the hot tub and being able to watch movies. The location of the property is very convenient. The traffic in Helen is horrific, so it was very nice to be able to walk to Main Steet.

River Haus property was beyond amazing. Had plenty of room for our group and we all loved the location right on the river. We tubed and was able to stop about halfway through at the property for bathroom and drink break The outdoor entertainment area was a huge hit with everyone and walking distance to town was also a huge convenience. We plan to book again for next year and hope to stay an extra night! Wilson Family

The pictures don’t do this cabin justice! It exceeded our expectations! Extremely clean! There was more than enough room. There were 4 large bedrooms and a queen size bunk bed room off the main living area which was a bonus. The room overlooking the river seemed newly constructed and the view was amazing! There were so many grills and flat tops that we stayed in to cook almost every night. It was the perfect location to town yet on a quiet back street. You could definitely have walked to town but we chose to golf cart which I highly recommend. We enjoyed watching the tubers from the riverside swing as well! We will be staying at this cabin again!

This is our 2nd time renting this house and we have loved it every time! They actually added a bonus room that allows you to sleep next to the Chattahoochee River.. This house has everything in the kitchen which made it so easy for all of us.

We had a lovely time at the river house in Helen. Rental was clean and well furnished and the location was excellent. One thing that would have been nice were some screens on the river side so that we could open the doors or windows and enjoy the sounds of the river and the breezes. The porch was also under construction which we didn't really know about but it didn't stop us from enjoying the other side. Kids enjoyed the hot tub very much which is newer than the one that's shown in the VRBO photo, so that was a nice surprise!

Pluses: Walkable to town - including Betty's groceries and a liquor store. At the far end of Helen which is a plus or minus depending on where you are driving to/from, but overall I thought traffic was easier to manage from that side - just realize there will be traffic. Living room is the first that actually had comfortable seating for the entire group. Couches/recliners were great. Firepit and outdoor area was nice We enjoyed it every evening. Everyone was happy with the beds - the bunks were a welcome upgrade for our teen to use. Minuses: No real minuses - but a few suggestions... Hooks!!! a row of hooks behind the bedroom doors would have been really helpful for wet towels, coats, etc. There is not sufficient hanging in the bathrooms. Dressers in the upstairs bedrooms. It wasn't even about putting clothes away as much as having a place for the other stuff. There is only the one common area so you are together all the time unless you go to a bedroom. The master is definitely big enough for a couple arm chairs and a table in front of the bed. It would have been nice to have that separate space. Disappointments: We never did get access to the bathroom in the outside rec area. Fishing - River access was a huge draw for us and that was great - but the fishing wasn't just bad, it was non-existent. Overall: I absolutely recommend River Haus for your stay in Helen. The access by foot to the town sold it for me as did the overall comfort of the home. I would definitely stay here if we returned to Helen.

Well laid out home in an amazing location off the Chattahoochee River. Our family had the most amazing, relaxing time in this home and can’t wait to come back! Thank you for thinking of us and providing extra heaters for the extreme cold weather that came in.

My family and I just finished our stay at this property and we had an amazing time! The cabin is wonderful and we will definitely try to visit again in the future. The location is perfect on the river and close to town. The cabin itself was more than enough for my family of four and my mom who joined us. I pay particular attention to detail on all fronts, customer service to the physical presentation of the home. This property and company passed with flying colors. Perfectly presented, decorated for Xmas (big surprise), immaculate from top to bottom. If you call for assistance they pick up immediately and handle anything/everything promptly. The walk into the village was a few minutes. Picturesque as can be. The outdoor entertainment area downstairs is off the charts too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the River Haus, it was perfect for our family. The cabin was very clean, and all the rooms were spacious, all amenities you could possibly need were provided. We enjoyed the outdoor space and being on the water. Soaking in the hot tub watching football game was great! Located in a quiet neighborhood, but downtown Helen is in walking distance. Have to add that the heated floor in master suite was a huge plus. River Haus will be my first choice when we visit Helen again! I highly recommend the River Haus you will not be disappointed.
