Nice enough but our hotel in pg was half the cost and a better hotel. Understand the location(prime fishing) thing but I feel it was way cheaper before the Reno's which weren't really that extensive.
Boil water advisory was inconvenient. Not the hotels fault but it was a hassle on the daily to get bottles water provided which they said they would.
Complimentary Breakfast was really good though

Cigarette and Mariguana smoke came into the room through balcony door 6th floor from fourth floor. Basement area around laundry room needs cleaning up

Was not nice at all. Bathroom smelled bad, air conditioner did not work, no soap in the shower. All in all this is not a nice hotel, would not recommend.
Definately not worth the money I paid for it.

Amazing

I was comfortable and the room was clean, except my 2nd night when the people above me was screaming from 2am until 6am.
Staff are friendly.

Had to change original plans due to the fire in Jasper.
Big mistake to book this hotel. Maid service refused to clean our room. Ran out of towels, hand soap and toilet paper. Had to buy hand soap and toilet paper at Safeway. Guest laundry is in a very dirty and cluttered basement. After washing clothes the dryer wouldn’t work! Our first night we heard loud yelling outside the next room. The police were called and the occupant was tasered. The shower wouldn’t drain. The building reminds me of a Soviet era structure. Moved to the Crest Hotel which is wonderful!
3.3
Front desk personnel not friendly and wasn't very accommodating in changing our room preference ….I found the the whole experience very unprofessional.
3.3
The room was very warm aNd no fan or ac. Just told to open the door to the hallway. Where there is ac. The bed was comfy. The parties outside went TIL 6am on both nights. The breakfast buffet was tasty.
3.3
Felt hotel room was over priced for quality of hotel room
3.3
It was once a better hotel and could be again… but it has a way to go, I can’t really get behind a hotel with linoleum floors in the rooms. Otherwise, clean, good bed, and nice views.

Stayed for a week. Requested room be cleaned and fresh towels. Not completed. Staff ambivalent.

Walkable to Everything
Very nice and friendly staff

The 1st night we could hear the neighbors clear as day. The 2nd night the kids upstairs ran across the hardwood floor till after 10pm. The 3rd day someone upstairs was smoking on the deck butts were landing on mine did not want to get a 500 fine so i mentioned it.
3.3
There was no power from 8am until 10pm with no compensation for the inconvenience
3.3
Enjoyed our stay but they dont do anything about ppl partying all night blasting music in other rooms

3.3
The rooms were very comfortable and clean

Listing says parking included. They don't have parking - you have to find a place on the nearby streets

Gave us the keys to an occupied room. Then gave us a new room with no heat. Then brought a heater and a soiled blanket. A least the heater works.

Lovely room lovely staff. In particular a young woman named Mila/Myla sp? Was so helpful and friendly. Great stay over all
3.3
Having trouble getting my deposit(s) back.
3.3
Convenient location to access ferries, restaurants, shopping, but area looks run down, especially compared to area further NE along waterfront. Hotel building has no security access - anyone could enter go up elevators.
3.3
Reading reviews i read that somebody actually went down town and bought small portable heater because heater in room doesn't work.
3.3
Very spacious and nicely renovated.
3.3
Not clean, not impressed. Won’t be going back to the Highliner.
3.3
The room was dirty sweets had hair on it and a towel waa dirty.
Front desk had nice people
3.3
Had a clogged toilet and told them during the day, they said they'll send someone while we were out for the day, came back and nothing was done, asked the night shift worker and she said she can't do anything about it, couldn't move to a different room, and couldn't get access to housekeeping so we were without a toilet for the night.
3.3
This property looks run down on the outside. The lobby and rooms have had an update. New laminate floors, updated vanity in the bathroom, however the extra blankets had stains on them and the patio door had trouble locking.
3.3
Lots of renovations in the hotel. Very friendly staff. Great ocean view!

The room was cold, couldn't get the heat to turn on.
Husband is Diabetic and it was like he was in a freezer. I got him warmed up finally at about 4am checked out at 9am.
No parking, you have to park on the street.

I was not happy how i was recieved. I said hi as i was walking up to the counter and the lady said wheres your ID I Need your ID i was not even six feet from the counter. She seemed un trained did not even say hi and welcome to to highliner. Got to our floor and it just smelled of Marijuana. Then upon entering the room we noticed how cold it was and right away you can see finger prints on the headboard and a stcky substance smeared on it. Still have to check out in the morning more to continue . So the bed was comfortable and the mid night staff were nice. When checking out it went well ecause i had already paid for the room Before i even got there. They told me that i should have my damage deposit back right away but i will wait a couple of days because i know how it works. I see it as pe ding on my credit card website. Overall not bad but not the best time that i have had while staying there. I will stay wlsewhere next time.

Dirty-Toilet, bath/shower, towels, floors and bed were all dirty. Toilet clearly hasn’t been cleaned, large spills on the floor that hadn’t been mopped up, shower curtain was dirty, hair and old soap scum all through the shower, white towels were stained, bed look like it was just remade as the sheets were all wrinkled.
The bathroom wall was damaged and the bathroom outlet didn’t work. The tub has a large soft spot that felt like you were going to fall through.
The front desk staff were easy to check in with and when the elevator quit working they were instantly on having it repaired.
The rooms are a little more modern but the cleaning was terrible.
