Excellent staff, really attentive and kind . Beautiful property

The only reason I chose this hotel was due to the Spa. When I got there I discovered both the sauna and the steam room were out of order. No notification when booking, no notification between booking and arrival date, no notification when I arrived. In my first night I went to the health spa, got changed, showered, and walked to the sauna and the note taped to the door was the first indication. Total waste of time and money, very poor to not communicate it. Also the menu is worse than a kids menu in a basic country pub. Such a disappointment and I wouldn’t heave dreamt of booking here if I’d have known.

Nice hotel. Convenient location. Can hear noise in room every time another room flushes toilet. Offer breakfast in room but then charged for room service, not much but should be on the flier offering you in room breakfast.

Staff were very helpful, showed me to my room on check in. As a solo traveller I felt a little uncomfortable at dinner but that was nothing to do with the staff who couldn’t do enough for me. It was probably me feeling a little self conscious. Food was amazing. Breakfast. Well - food was great- bizarrely I couldn’t get the toaster to work but ok. I chose to eat some fruit first then went back for the cooked items and on my return my table had been cleared, coffee had been removed.Clearly they thought I’d finished as I’d taken my handbag. But I wasn’t going to leave it unattended. I sat back down and used cutlery from another table. Breakfast is always busy and the staff were busy with other guests’ queries so I felt a bit ignored and no more coffee for me! Room was lovely. Shower was lovely once I’d mastered how it worked. Couldn’t quite get the temperature right, it was hot or scalding! Check out was easy, the receptionist offered to help with my luggage. It it hadn’t been for the breakfast incident I would have had no criticism at all.

Nice hotel in very pleasant grounds. Nice friendly staff. Breakfast very poor. Do it yourself toast on a poor domestic toaster. Buffet style cooked breakfast with no options other than the fry up. No salmon, kippers or haddock. Who wants a fry up 4 mornings in a row, only the fatties.

Lovely room with beautiful interior decoration. Breakfast was excellent and they even had gluten free cornflakes and bread which was so appreciated. Grounds are well kept and nice areas to sit out with a drink, watch out for the peacocks though if you have food!

Fantastic hotel, excellent facilities and service , the grounds are beautiful with peacocks walking freely , our family room was a good size with lovely garden view . The meals were great and we also enjoyed the pool and gym facilities Well located for visiting nearby Whipsnade Zoo.

Staff were delightful, the breakfast was great and we had loads of fun as a family in the pool and the games room.

The rooms are comfortable, but lifts are inaddequate. The grounds and sitting-out areas are delightful. The Manor caters for weddings, during which facilities for other guests are less. Parking facilities are inadequate to the business undertaken, so cars have to be left all over the place. .

Such a shame we had such a TERRIBLE nights sleep due to a ‘family’ room being right next to a function hall with loud music untill 23:30 and a fault on the toilet that meant a ‘whooshing’ sound was heard from the bedroom about every 30 seconds ALL NIGHT! As the hotel, restaurant and facilities and grounds were all fantastic!

We find this location at the last minute and we are very glad we did. We spent the last two days of our week-long European vacation at Pendley and it was a very welcome time of rest and relaxation after a week of busy cities. Lovely grounds, quiet setting and friendly staff. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

Beautiful hotel! We stayed in a superior room. It was in perfect condition and the bathroom was great too. Restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely fantastic. We used the swimming pool, sauna and steam room and enjoyed those as well. We loved seeing the peacocks wandering around the grounds as well! We had a great stay and would love to visit again.

We stayed at Pendley Manor with our two children aged 4 & 7 and had a lovely stay. The children loved the pool and grounds. Breakfast was fantastic with a great choice and good quality. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Would recommend to families with small children

This was a great hotel, with spectacular scenery and a lovely beer garden. The only issue I had was the airflow wasn't the best in the room, and it overheated easily. However, I had an enjoyable stay

Our favourite part of our stay were the Peacocks, it was a pleasure sitting in the garden and watching them walk about. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern in some parts and older in others, both decorated fantastically. I especially appreciated the blackout curtains in our room. Breakfast was a joy, plenty on offer and a gorgeous room to eat it in. Me and my family enjoyed our stay immensely and would love to go back and see the Peacocks again.

Fantastic one night stay. Beautiful manor and grounds with peacocks wandering about. Smooth checkin and directions to room. Very tasty dinner in the main restaurant and excellent service from staff. Room very comfy and slept well. Rooms and communal areas require a bit of TLC to deal with minor water damage but this in no way impacted our stay or would stop us visiting again. Wide variety of options for breakfast and good quality ingredients (fruit, cereals, pastries, breads, cheese, cooked breakfast, range of non dairy milk). Breakfast Staff eager to help and meet additional requests, e.g. decaf coffee. Spa staff very welcoming, flexible and keen to make us feel comfortable. Both treatments (massage and pedicure) were brilliant and just what we needed. Steam, sauna and pool were clean and enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend the hotel if you’re looking for some time out and opportunity to spoil yourself.
