Arrived in the afternoon and it was raining and were met at the door by a Porter with an umbrella and they unloaded the car and parked it. Room was not quite ready so sat in lounge with fire blazing until it was. Our room in the old stables was lovely, spacious and had excellent modern bathroom. Gardens around the hotel looked beautiful, but as was raining did not get to explore too much. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were excellent and staff friendly. I would recommend this hotel

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel itself is stunning and offers a truly relaxing atmosphere. One of the standout experiences was the afternoon tea, which was delightful and complemented perfectly by the spa services. Overall, our time here was superb and exceeded all our expectations. We couldn’t be happier with our stay and highly recommend it for a special occasion or a relaxing getaway.

This was a fun indulgence and we’d go back for another stay. Whiskey tasting was especially enjoyable. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Comfy room, beautiful grounds. Staff polite and helpful.

Very nice hotel. We had a garden suite that was few steps away from the main building. The room was nice but one minor complaint, the garden area (patio) was not walled off from neighbors so no privacy. Staff were excellent and the food was very good.

Room, perfect! Had a corner room on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. Spacious room, huge bathroom, and comfy bed (so comfy in fact we slept through our initial alarms!). Staff were incredibly helpful and kind, they really made our toddler feel welcomed and loved. No need to leave as food, relaxation, spa, entertainment, etc is all onsite! We'll definitely be back, according to my wife our 10 year anniversary will be spent at the Lough Eske Castle!

Wonderful dining options. Amazing staff beautiful grounds. Take the time and use the bikes provided to bike around the grounds. Sit by one of the fireplaces, and have Guinness. Donegal a beautiful area to explore.

Service from bar, restaurants, reception and door staff couldn’t be faulted. The restaurants had Suberin food at sensible prices. Many bars to choose from each with their own atmosphere. The grounds were well maintained and lively walks to be had. Just one tiny thing but, please put everyday tea bags in rooms and replenish daily. Had to ring for tea bags every day. Great stay, looked after by fantastic staff

Recently stayed here 1st time 2 nights. Not really centrally located must take several dark roads many filled with potholes and some unsafe road conditions to drive back-and-forth to the center of town were the pubs and restaurants are. Had to take a taxi back-and-forth to town even though it's less than three or 4 miles they charge you $15 euro each way which comes out of 17 or 18 American US Cleanliness of the room needed a lot to be desired rug was dirty and they didn't refill the soaps or things that were necessary. After my first night things were not replenished they charged a fortune to have my laundry done almost 3, American dollars to wash a pair of underwear and shirt you up to $ 5. Staff in the breakfast we're probably one of the best, the hostess, especially she got it !!! the front desk staff seem to be not experienced, and management didn't seem to be able to watch over them , when you called from your room with simple requests , the phone rang and rang unanswered and rang and rang. . Over priced with construction going on during my stay, even though they said, there wouldn't be see the pictures, also even though the parking was convenient and I believe free, still you had to lug your own luggage across the field and stone patios to get to your car not worth it stay in town if you can.

What a wonderful stay. The room was large and comfortable. Dinner at Cedar Restaurant was very good. Don’t miss Father Browne’s down stairs. Great history through photos and Titanic connection.

Liked everything

Hotel was decorated very festively. Gorgeous Christmas trees everywhere. Bedroom was huge, bed was comfortable but the bedroom was SO warm, it was at the point of being uncomfortable. There was no option to cool it properly. Apart from this it was good.
