My first stay at Katala Villas and I absolutely loved it ! My room was spacious and comfortable, I had a little deck to sit on outside and also an outside shower which was glorious.
The pool was magnificent and I spent a lot of time there relaxing. I had spring rolls by the pool for lunch , a mocktail and it was delicious.
Breakfast is simple but fresh and also delicious.
It’s a 5-7 min walk to main shops and restaurants and an easy one. I was travelling on my own and felt safe at this little resort.
Overall I had an awesome time thanks to my restful stay at Katala.Happy Happy !! Many thanks

A peaceful paradise within walking distance to the main shops and restaurants. Couldn't have asked for better staff, so friendly and accomodating. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious with everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for 5 nights at Katala Villas and it was just perfect for us. The villas are conveniently located, just a 5 minute walk to restaurants catering for a range of budgets and cuisines (local warungs and Asian and Western restaurants) and also a supermarket, convenience stores and money changers (we used the Money Exchange inside Circle K on JL Danau Tamblingan). The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, each with own bathroom, walk in robe and safety deposit box. Each bathroom had an outdoor shower, 2 hand basins, toilet and the main suite also had a bath. Outside was a lovely garden, kitchen and living area, day bed under a gazebo and an inviting swimming pool which was about 1.5metres deep (no shallow end, although there were steps at one end). The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, microwave, hot plate, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils so you could self cater if you wanted. Our breakfast was included in our package and the restaurant is also open for lunch (until 5pm). With so many good options available nearby and within the complex, we only used the fridge for refreshments! We also enjoyed lunch at the restaurant twice during our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and discretely serviced our villa daily as we lazed about. We are happy to rebook again for our next trip.

Lovely hotel in a quiet position away from the main roads. Matteo was very friendly and welcoming. Great room, pool was also great.

Fantastic staff and service. Mateo is a great host. He organised a combined trip to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida including snorkelling ++ and the top three attractions in NP. We had a 2-bedroom villa with private pool which was great. But sunbathing was a bit reduced because of the high plants shadowing for the sun. But good for some, I guess. We were 4 persons but there are only two sun beds... The villa is a bit off the main road but it didn’t mind us as we like to walk.

Loved my stay at the Katala Villas. My room was great, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Villas are only a short 5 minutes or so from the main street and restaurants shops etc. Will definitely stay again.

Loved the individual bungalows/rooms so no noise from other units. Far enough away from the roads/shops/restsurants to make it a quiet and peaceful location to relax. Bars and restaurants are convenient walking distance. Pool was lovely and quiet. Breakfasts could have been better.

Hotel was tucked away from the main road so you don't get the sounds of busy traffic. Hotel grounds were well maintained. My room was upstairs and it had an indoor shower which I prefered. Quiet nights made it good for resting.

We stayed at Katala with a family of five and we loved it!
The two bungalows we had were very clean and spaceous and looked like they belonged in a high en hotel. The suites were beautifully designed and the bathrooms were very clean and functional, even the outdoor shower.
The manager Mateo and his wife and staff were all very professional and made us feel very much at home. No request was too much and he even brought us bananas and ginger from his home village. They helped us plan our trips in and around Sanur.
Katala resort is small and cozy, but has a beautiful pool to relax by. It is away from the noisy beach area, but only a 10 minute walk from there and good restaurants.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend Katala to both couples as well as families visiting Sanur.

Wow! A small resort professionally managed with the utmost attention to details. The small villa / bungalow is perfectly equipped and decorated. The entire place is pervaded with natural quiet and relaxing / regenerating attitude. Staff is friendly and caring for all your needs, from a welcoming check-in, to delicious breakfasts and tolerant check-out. You will need a transport to get to the beach but you have all basic services like cute family restaurants, laundry and garment alterations nearby. I miss the place already and cant wait to be back.

When I arrived at Katale Villas i was sketical because of its location. But behind the exterior was a relaxing, tranquil place to get away and have some peace and quiet. The staff was so very friendly and not overbearing. They really took care of me and made sure all my requests were met. Except, they forgot to send a driver to the airport to pick me up. But that wasnt a problem. You can get a better deal by getting a Grab which is similar to an Uber.

We stayed for two nights with our 18month old baby and he couldnt wait to dive into the pool everytime he sees it. We were given villa no 4, its a 2 bedroom villa (the other room is locked) I would assume the compund is slightly bigger than the 1 bedroom villa. Location is secluded yet convinient, a short walk to sanur main road. The only gripe i have is the intenet/wifi was very poor to non-existent. Please upgrade this or to take out free wifi in your description.Oh we encountered scary moment when we saw a small centipede crawled out from underneath of our sleeping baby on bed !!! After an hour or so we noticed no bit mark on my baby luckily. But he was crying longer than usual.When i told the reception, she said its due to rainy season.Other than the above, the stay was blissful. Would want to go back at some point in the future.

Katala Villas is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday! It's nice and quiet and a short walk to a main road with lots of delicious, cheap restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they come to your villa and make you breakfast at the time that you request. It was hard to believe that we had the whole space to ourselves! Will definitely go back one day!

We stayed in a one bed villa for 10 nights over Christmas. We were totally amazed at the space and layout and found it hard to believe it was just for us! The private pool was amazing.
The villas come with a kitchen area, large fridge, table for four and spacious seating all outdoors with two large ceiling fans. All under cover so no issues if it rained.

We had a lovely stay at Katala villas. The villa lived up to the pictures, the staff were friendly and helpful, the area was quiet and near the shops and beach.
We had the double villa at the front of the compound, but it is a quiet street, do that wasn't a problem. As another review said there was an unpleasant smell hanging around the bathroom for a few days, but we kept the door closed and it wasn't really an issue.
I highly recommend this accomodation.
