Strange set up, couldnt really tell who was managing who...or what. Some very nice staff but also the sense that some hadnt had any training whatsoever. It should be so much better but sadly its not.

The grounds are breathtaking and give one a chance to take leisurely walks, meditate and soak in the fresh air. The staff are super helpful and very friendly. Michelle at the reception is a star!!

The kitchen needs help. Many items missing from menu. Quality of food can be improved tremendously.

Environment

SPA. 3 staff repeatedly told us to take full body massage which was 8000 KES per hour per person. We wanted to take only foot massage which was described in their brochure at 4000 KES per hour per person. But when we were lying on the bed for foot massage, they said, it is typo, price of foot massage is 4000 KES per 30 min, 8000 KES per hour. I told them that how come full body n foot massage rate could be same. They said, because foot massage requires a lot of energy. Very unpleasant experience. Except this, others were fair enough.

Beautiful setting, clean, very friendly and accommodating staff. The hot stone massage was amazing. Without all the noise and disturbance it is really is a beautiful and lovely place to stay. One of the nicest in Nairobi so far. Perhaps I’ll try again during the week and not over the weekend.

I went to detox, rest and get some peace and quiet. 1. I got woken up at 21:30 to ask what time I would be having breakfast. Why? 2. Woken up again at 01:30 (in the morning) by, I assume, drunk people talking loudly and requesting to see rooms and touring the place??? So Bizarre!! Surely the gates should close by then and some sort of no noise policy put in - especially if it is a “tranquil wellness retreat”. Wellness retreat that doubles as a venue for events - enquire about this before going because it is very noisy but to be fair the “graduation celebration” did not go on till late but while it was happening it was not a very tranquil setting. I think the venue needs to warn residents and manage expectations better. Maybe just call yourselves a hotel or guest house and mention that there may be events happening when they are happening. A real pity but an easy fix.
