Loved our stay, kitchen was well stocked, kids loved the popcorn machine. Can't beat the location, we will be back!

Some complaints of the two mattresses on the main floor. Otherwise, no other complaints.

LOVE!!! This beach house has become our all-time favorite! BACK AGAIN! Gorgeous place and pool area, super cute decor, well-stocked, clean and quiet! It was a perfect get-away before the Christmas holiday --- enjoying long walks on the beach every sunrise with our dogs in shorts and flip flops. Only a few minutes from the house. Then a short drive to our favorite spot for daily sunsets by Viva and "Gravity Park". Can't wait for the next trip.

We went to SPI in person for check in and as we walked through the door we were greeted with a “Hello” and a smile. Check in process was quick and simple. The gentleman at the counter gave us restaurant recommendations for breakfast, lunch and dinner and all turned out to be amazing places to eat. We had to contact them about keypad door access issues and pool heater reset and they responded immediately! Great rental management company, the house was fully stocked and homey and our vacation was amazing even know the weather didn't cooperate. We highly recommend!

We had a perfect vacation at SPI and a big part of our fun happened at this beach house. This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at on the island. Our family loved taking evening dips in the gorgeous pool and relaxing in the lovely living spaces at Carolyn by the Sea after a long day at the beach or exploring local shops and attractions. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen was very well equipped. We highly recommend this property and will come back again next year.

My friends, my husband and I enjoyed everything Carolyn's had to offer for our vacation. It was clean, roomy, comfortable, and very well stocked in various ways. Items in the garage for your beach days. Games to play on a rainy day or at night. Hummingbirds to watch while drinking coffee on the front porch. We cooked several meals and had all of the cookware and utensils needed to do so. The backyard is its own little paradise and we loved being out there during the evenings. Beautiful place! Thank you for sharing it with us.

We had a lovely stay even though the weather was not ideal for us. The home is beautiful indoors and out. In addition to being very clean it was well appointed. There is pretty much anything you could need in the kitchen and in the garage for outdoor activities. If we make our way to SPI again I know we will check to see if this home is available.

We had a wonderful time at Carolyn by the Sea - being so close to the beach and having easy access was great for early morning sunrise walks. We spent a lot of time at the pool - the backyard space is so beautiful and relaxing. Can't wait to go back!

We have absolutely fallen in love with Carolyn by the sea! Very clean, fun décor, gorgeous pool and outdoor living spaces. And the beach is so close. This was our first trip since the beach re-nourishment project. The beach is now massive. We enjoyed taking our fur babies on a walk every morning as we watched beautiful sunrises. Then we sat on the front porch and watched all the hummingbirds. What a special treat. Met so many friendly people, too. One of our all-time best vacations! We will be back!

The house is close to the beach, just a short walk. It has a lovely pool and roomy yard with lounge chairs and tables. Lots of spots to enjoy a morning coffee. The house feels loved - they've put a lot of time into decorating and stocking/labeling everything you need. We appreciate the fact that everything was kept so clean and organized. When we were tired from the beach for the day, the living room was a perfect spot to cozy up and play Nintendo Switch with the kids. The beds were very comfortable. Alot of care goes into this beach house- thank you for making it feel like a home away from home. We had one small issue with the upstairs a/c after a short power outage in the neighborhood, after which the management company came out and fixed right away. Thank you! We definitely would love to stay here again.

We really enjoyed the house and the pool was perfect. I loved the decorations throughout the entire house, it sure added to the beachy feeling in the house. Plenty of room to hang out and have a good time.

This was our first stay, and we had a great time! Very close to the beach and our kids loved the pool. Everything is decorated so nicely and the owners really thought of everything. The only suggestion I have would be to move the king size bed into the master bedroom. Thank you so much for letting us stay in this spectacular home!

This place felt like home. The beach, the pool, the location. They provided everything we needed and then some. Three minutes from the beach and chillin by the pool in the evening. We are already planning our next visit to this beautiful home!

We had a great experience, more than enough activities than time to enjoy! From ping pong table to games to karaoke machine and the pool! Best of all quick walk to the beach and made every sunrise most enjoyable!

We just got back from an amazing long weekend in South Padre Island and our beach home was PERFECT for our mother daughter weekend getaway! First off, the home is beautiful. Every are in the house is beautifully decorated, but it felt cozy and just like you were at home. The beds were comfortable and we all just loved hanging upstairs. The house is big and all 8 of us felt like we had plenty of room. Our favorite part was the back yard. The pool was heated and warm even though we were there in the winter and one day all the moms just took a nap on the lawn chairs while our teens played ping pong in the garage. You can see the ocean from the living room windows so it's a super short block walk to the water which was so wonderful. Our first two days were windy and cold, so we went shopping, played games and ping pong at the house and relaxed on the super comfy couches and just enjoyed staying at Carolyn By the Sea! We hadn't been down to SPI in over 20 years so we were not sure what to expect. The island was clean, the water was beautiful and there were tons of areas to explore. One day we took our teens to It's just a short 10 minute ride from the house. Highly recommend this fun experience even if you haven't ridden before. They had a petting zoo that our girls loved and you got to feed baby goats, a donkey and 2 big longhorns! There were lots of yummy restaurants around the island as well. The Meatball Cafe was a crowd favorite and we also LOVED the Turbo Coladas and seafood at Wanna Wanna. We can't say enough positive things about Carolyn By the Sea. We will be back. The owners take amazing care of this property and we are really looking forward to coming back soon!

There was plenty of room for part of the group to work remotely during the day while the rest of us enjoyed puzzles, games, movies, and hanging out in the spacious outdoor areas! The heated pool was a luxurious touch! The house was also totally dog friendly, with a big backyard for playing fetch, an outdoor hose for post-beach baths, and plenty of room for her crate. The house is in an incredibly convenient location, 5 minute walk to the beach and to multiple fun restaurants and bars. We lost count of how many Wanna Wanna pina coladas our group enjoyed throughout our week long stay! The owners also provide a beach wagon and plenty of lounge chairs to make going to the beach an easy and relaxing experience! While we enjoyed our fair share of eating out, the kitchen at Carolyn by the Sea was a dream to cook in! Firstly, HEB is a quick drive from the house, and they will even deliver. And second, the kitchen has everything we could have ever needed! We made a nice birthday dinner one night and every time we thought, "oh no, we forgot to bring xyz" we would open a drawer and find exactly what we needed. SO much attention to detail was put into the kitchen from gadgets like an air fryer and instant pot to any type/size of serving platter you can imagine! Overall, our stay at Carolyn by the Sea was amazing and this is the only place we would want to stay on future trips to SPI!

Can we give this house more than five stars? We love the beach and go several times a year. This is our new favorite! Super clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and romantic. Great areas for our entire group but also lots of room when folks wanted privacy or a nap. Dogs even had plenty of space for their oversized dog beds Super short walk to the beach, so it made it easy to go to the beach and back to the house several times a day. When at the house, we loved to sit in the front porch or take a break and play Corn Hole or Ping Pong Our favorite might be the huge backyard and pool area. We thought the pool might be too cold in February, but were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was. Quite romantic with all the bistro lights, too. We loved how this is a real beach house… not just a house that happens to be at the coast. We can't say enough positive things about “Carolyn By The Sea”!

The home was just as described on the website and even nicer than the photos portrayed. The outdoor spaces were our favorite --- watching sunsets in the front porch and laying in the pool with a nice cocktail. So many extras that we didn't even get to use –-- like the firepit, grill, ping pong, etc. There was more to do than time allowed, so we will definitely return. I have to say it again… we absolutely love “Carolyn by the sea”!

Only two minutes and ten seconds walk from the beach--I timed it! Marvelous place, comfortable, beautifully furnished and decorated with a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely swimming pool in the back. There's a beach store that will sell you a surfboard or print you a T-shirt with about any design you want and a general store at the end of the street for all the little things you forgot. Loved it. Couldn't recommend it enough and we'll be back.

Great vacation, even with all the stormy weather for the first day. Nice little office nook while I “worked from home/anywhere”. And tons of games/puzzles to keep everyone happy. The house is on a slope it stayed totally dry, thankfully. Several houses were flooded to the point that you couldn't get to the house without going through huge puddles covering the entire driveway. Yikes. Absolutely GORGEOUS, COMFORTABLE, CLEAN and SPACIOUS! So glad that we chose this Carolyn house, and WE WILL BE BACK!!!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the most incredible pet-friendly beach house with a private pool on South Padre Island! This hidden gem provided an idyllic retreat for both my family and my furry companions, offering a seamless blend of comfort, convenience, and relaxation. First and foremost, the location of this beach house was a paradise unto itself. Nestled just a stone's throw away from the best beach in Texas, it allowed for effortless beach access, making early morning walks along the shore an invigorating way to start the day. As a pet owner, finding accommodation that welcomes four-legged friends can often be challenging, but this beach house went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The spacious interior was tastefully decorated and thoughtfully designed to accommodate both humans and pets. The furniture was pet-friendly and comfortable, making it easy for my furry friend to curl up and relax. Additionally, the house was immaculately clean, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants. The highlight of this beach house was undoubtedly the private pool. This is an outstanding property. Fantastic location, short walk to Wanna Wanna's, beach access and Island Market. Great parking, large bedrooms , wonder living areas, fully stocked equipment in the kitchen, awesome pool area. We've been coming down to the island for 40 years and this is the best rental we've ever had. Definitely planning on renting it again.

We had the most amazing Father's Day weekend at this perfect beach house. It has everything you need literally,a wide variety of appliances, cookware, dishes, cocktail glasses, beach cart, chairs. I can't name it all. This house is beautifully decorated and everything is top notch. The pool was wonderful after a day at the beach. You feel so at home and cozy. You can see a slice of the beach and the bay while relaxing on the upstairs porch. Custom iced cookies awaited us with a lovely note from the owners. They have a beautiful home and we were so happy to be their guest.
