Nice hotel but air conditioning control did not work

The hotel facilities, rooms and staff were excellent. The only thing that let it down was that we went half board and despite having a good food allowance the evening meal was diabolical. Firstly our meals were overcooked then the second time they arrived, the order was incorrect. We also asked if we could pre-order the children's meals to take to the room when we finished in the restaurant, but it was prepared to early and was given to us cold do the children didn't eat that evening.

Back here after our first trip three years ago. All still good and nice to find that we still get free cookies!

I was in room 232 and it sounded liked I was above a laundry and the sound of a drier was going all night and all morning. I had to put my headphones in to be able to get to sleep as it was too loud

Beautiful hotel, our room was immaculate. The shower was amazing. Breakfast was busy as we stayed during school holidays but the staff were excellent at replenshing everything. I would highly recommend this hotel. Very convenient for Alton Towers.

It was a lovely family stay, in a suite room. we were cold though, I had to ring housekeeping in the morning regarding the heating as the radiators hadn't come on. So they brought an electrical radiator which didn't do anything to be honest. We were told the heating was on a timer. You would think this time of year the heating would most definitely have come on in the morning.

Jane on reception was fantastic with our small kids and gave them all cookies on arrival! The family rooms were spacious and clean. Our kids loved the breakfast buffet and the pool.

Overall room was nice and clean. Service in the bar area was slow, not very attentive and extremely robotic. Waited ages to get served at the bar although 3 staff were behind it - but seemed to be serving other areas of the restaurant. One guy was making cocktails for other tables but was so slow and when he was the only one in the bar area did not apologise or say someone will be with you - you just ended up watching him make drinks for someone else.

Overall room was nice and clean. Service in the bar area was slow, not very attentive and extremely robotic. It’s not clear on their website it just saying open until 9pm. Turned up at 8pm after long drive to hotel and they told the children (aged 11 and 14 with advanced swimming/racing skills) they could have 10 discretionary minutes as it was adults only. On Saturday morning we wanted to go for a swim. Got down there and the pool was closed from 10am until midday for toddler swimming lessons. Not happy. Hotel should not have extra star if the pool isn’t available to paying guests! We gave up using their swimming pool facilities. Changing rooms were not clean either but if you don’t swim or gym the hotel is fine.

The stay was lovely very busy upon arrival but reception staff did their best. I was disappointed with the lack of choice of drinks at the bar, for such a quality hotel to run dry at the pumps for every single option of beer/larger is poor management with only bottle left, even the mixers where non existent. Otherwise well done.

Friendly staff throughout, Clean . Comfortable beds , quick check In with free cookies , affordable parking . Best of all food was delicious . The roast dinner was superb . Breakfast also faultless

Everyone we met was very friendly. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of good and drinks. Pool , steam room ; sauna , and the gym were a nice perk without additional cost.

The staff is helpful and friendly. Different room has different temperatures and cannot be adjusted. I travelled with my friends. We stayed at 2nd floor, my friends stayed at 3rd and 4th floor. My room is the hottest and the 4th floor is the coldest.

On booking I explained it would be for a child’s birthday and they decorated the room and left a lovely hand written card

Rude on reception. Charged for parking when it clearly says on site parking complimentary. Extortionate bar prices. Didnt sleep at all due to other people shouting and banging doors and a car alarm going off for over an hour.
