Wow! What a gem of a place! We stopped here as seeing Jimmy Carr at the convention centre, which is less than 5 mins walk to there. Upon arrival welcomed by a lady to give us the room key, as we checked in online the day before she upgraded our room and it was perfect! Huge room, lovely and clean and it’s a beautiful surroundings. The bed was extremely comfy, the bathroom was huge and a lovely area infront of the bay windows to sit and look out on the quiet leafy streets. The breakfast the following morning was lovely and very filling. We checked out and asked if we were able to park on the street while we spent the day in Harrogate, she told us we were able to stay in the carpark which was very nice of her,
The carpark is small but had no bother parking.
Excellent hotel , beautiful area and great stay. Would definitely recommend and would would if were we to come Harrogate again.

Large old property in a quiet leafy street 10 min walk from harrogate centre. rooms clean but small with facilities. some rooms have little flights of steps to reach on various levels. nice breakfast. parking is tight. the entrances in and out of the parking bays are narrow. best to park offstreet in adjacent road by the trees.

Had really high hopes for this property as the Crowne was right around the corner but I wanted something locally owned and with more character. Everything was just as I imagined except for the staff.
We asked for some printing to be done and granted it was quite more than they are probably used to, but it was done without first informing us of the price and then all of a sudden we were slapped with a bill for 35pounds! Again, wouldn't have minded IF they had asked us first but they didn't bother.
Then, even after we agreed to pay the charges, when we needed more printing they simply said no. Maybe they are not used to accommodating business customers? All in all was beautiful but wouldn't stay here again just due to the lack of business services available.

Really enjoyed our stay. The location is great just a short walk into town. The hotel is set in a beautiful building with well-kept gardens outside. The room was nice with a lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was tasty. We would definitely stay again.

Ideal place to stay if visiting for a conference. Rooms are clean, quiet, and cozy. Nice ensuite too with a bath. I'd also reccomend Ascot house for longer weekends away, I wish I'd been able to stay longer than 1 night.
