Freezing cold in the room when we checked-in at 12:30am for a few hours of sleep. Despite trying to to get the heating going, incl. help from the staff, it was still like 13-14 degrees Celcius in the room an hour later. So, at 1:30am we got a another room. Again some 13-14 degrees in the room but this time the staff at least got the heating running and they also brought some portable heatets. At 2am the temperature in the room was at least decent. We cannot understand why the heating wasn’t started before we arrived - especially considering we had provided all our flight details. Very disppointing :(

Stayed a couple of times through our NZ visit. Was convenient. Nice rooms and great staff.

A very nice, very large hotel, so very convenient to the airport. We stayed there on two occasions during our NZ holiday, and the rooms were excellent. The buffet breakfast provided all we needed. I would never pay for their buffet dinner again. It was nowhere near the standard of the other offerings of the hotel. Food was meagre, and everything including a soup was only just luke-warm. Food options were sub-standard. We wished we had gone to McDonalds or the like. But we would gladly stay at the Holiday Inn Auckland Airport during future visits, but definitely dodge that terrible buffet dinner.

Top stay very clean and comfortable!!

Our room was excellent and great that we were given an upgrade. We only had a quick overnight as we had a very early flight out in the morning. Whilst there's a free shuttle we walked as it's so close to the airport. Staff are very friendly, efficient, and professional. Have stayed there before several times and would definitely stay again.

Excellent service

Arrived late, so turned the lights out and jumped straight in bed. Had the worst night's sleep on the most awful huge hard pillows ever, literally ended up taking the pillowcase off and using a jacket I had... Then in the morning light, notice a small card in the room, cheerfully advertising a huge range of good pillows to order from reception... Livid. Not really good enough for $249 tbh, the main point is to get sleep there :|

We have stayed at Sudima several times and noticed its age a bit this time but the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and obliging and we were happy with the quality of the meal we had.
