This hotel is old and located right in the busy streets of myeong dong. Very convenient and serves your needs since every thing is right there. Make sure your room is not too small. 24/7 convenient store is down stairs. We used it every day!!

I stayed at Savoy Hotel for 4 nights.1st and 2nd nights in Room 812, there was a bad smell coming from the toilet, but it improved after we used air spray. There is a step to enter the washroom is quite high compared to Room 811, which might be difficult for elderly. Unfortunately, the main issue was the toilet clogged twice in one day after poo poo. The first time happened in the morning, but the engineer fixed it quickly after we reported it. However, it clogged again at midnight, but the engineer had already left for the day, we had to wait until morning and use a nearby cafe's toilet. We requested to change room, and the staff arranged quickly, bringing the key to our room within two hours. We didn’t put any tissue into the toilet, but I have no idea why it clogged twice in one day.
In Room 811 (3rd and 4th nights) also a bad smell from the toilet. There were some used items left in the fridge that were not ours. The tap in the bathtub was broken, but it was repaired without us to report it. the wall light was broken. the hair dryer in Room 811 was new and had options for heat and cool settings. Overall, besides the issue with the clogged toilet in Room 812, the other problems were minor and did not affect our trip. Good location on the main street, easy to find and access various places. many coffee shops, restaurants, and fashion shops nearby, and it is close to the airport bus station and subway. It took about 10 mins walk to reach department stores.

Do not stay at this hotel. Very unfriendly, Arrogant and unkind,they only want your money. Customer services are non existent!! It’s a no go for tourists!

Located in Myeongdong shopping center and very close to the Myeongdong station. The staffs were nice. The room was pretty decent for the price.

We liked that there was a water dispenser so we saved money on having to buy a lot of water bottles, we would just refill them. Everything was really good.

Larger room size compare to nearby hotel,super convenience to get airport bus, or street food or shopping , we found 4 cat cafe, you can go to 7-11 to get cash from a card machine, or local bank, very easy , you will need cash to buy street food , very fun and tasty, enjoy your trip

Very convenient location. Lots to do and see in the area. The only thing to be aware of is that this hotel is on the interior roads of the Myeongdong area and as such it is very difficult to drive too in the afternoon and almost impossible in the evening when the streets are filled with pedestrians. I felt sorry for our driver trying to navigate to the hotel at night and for our pickup we actually walked a block away so that the driver didn't have to contend with the pedestrians.

I didn’t particularly care for this hotel although the location is ideal for tourists!! The location to this hotel is literally near everything, and just about all the major attractions are walking distance! However, I didn’t particularly care for the fact that although I arrived early to the hotel, after flying for hours and taking a limousine transfer for an hour; the Savoy staff insisted on charging me additional funds just to occupy a space I already paid for. Albeit, I chose to make the very best of my trip, so I freshened up in the guest lobby bathroom, and went about my day, touring Seoul Korea. The hotel itself is basic, and quite dated! The rooms are basic and substandard at best, but the location is the very best thing about this hotel location! Stay at The Savoy Hotel only if you’re here for a day-trip or on a slight budget! ***

Great location, as it is near Exit 6 of Myeongdong Station, and there are many shopping and street food options around. The staff was friendly, especially the cleaning ladies who were very attentive to our needs. The room is a good enough size to store luggage and sleep after a long day of going around Seoul. Would definitely stay here again.

When we arrived, the front desk staff canceled the pre-paid transaction through Expedia and charged my card again. Their explanation was that they needed to confirm our identity in person. This is the reason for taking out a star. I didn’t like these additional transactions. They let us drop off our luggages and bags before the check in which was very helpful. The rooms are clean and the AC works great. There are 2 small elevators. Since we had our luggages, 5 of us had to take 2 elevators. Some reviews mentioned loud noise at night. It was really quiet. The convenient store in adjacent to the hotel, had coin laundry: 3 washers and 1 dryer. You can get 1 detergent pod for W1,000 from the convenient store. Ask for it at the cashier. Washer and Dryer costs W3,000 for each load.
