The price and comfort of bed.

The water in the Bathroom was not hot enough. And the hallway had a stinch. Sort of like wet carpet.

Bed was comfortable, good night sleep. I liked that I can have my dogs with me

First night we were there 3 cars got broken into. The second night 9 cars got their window smashed. Employees were standoffish

It smelt really good, the shower was warm and had great water pressure

The hotel was in a fairly good area.

The room was extremely small. The room had a really weird, irritating smell. I couldn’t quite pinpoint it, but it irritated me the entire time. On night #2, someone was outside in the hallway until 1:30 talking loudly as though it were the middle of the day.

our room never got cleaned or replenished with fresh linen and towels when we were out and about and had to call multiple times for fresh towels. also, our window unit was leaking water on the hotel carpet. finally, the ice machines didn’t dispense any ice when we needed it.

The pet fee is very expensive and before I even got all my things in the room the front desk was calling me and telling me to keep my dogs quiet even though there was four or five different people yelling in there rooms. Not a good place to stay at all.

This Hampton Inn at Memphis Poplar is a good place to stay and sleep after a long drive, the location is not the best but is not the worst, it all depends where you going, the staff at night was courteous but do a card reader missfunction I was charged twice, next day the lady at front desk, fixed, she was friendly and courteous; the room was ok, good beds and clean, they provide us with extra towels as per our request and the Breakfast was Excellent !!

I got scare when saw the double charge do the card reader missfunction and also was charge a fee as deposit, I was not counting with that, I understand it will be refunded after few days, depends on my back to reflect, so if you travel under budget be careful !!

The property was fine

I just didn’t like that fact that I paid for a queen room with TWO Queen beds but instead I got a Queen room with one queen bed and a sofa bed and it was myself, my 2 children and my mom. The lady at the desk didn’t tell me that they were out of the double queen beds which is what I paid for. We ended up staying but I wasn’t comfortable being that I had to sleep on the sofa bed.

No crib for the baby.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. The breakfast was amazing!

We went to check in on a Sunday night around 6pm. The front desk lady checked us in and automatically ran the card on file which was fine. After she started explaining about breakfast and everything, she told us to swipe our card. We swiped it thinking there was an issue. It declined. I checked my account and $479 had been deducted from the Hilton Poplar for the 1st charge then declined for the second swipe. Obviously it would decline as I did not have an additional $500 in my account. I showed this to the lady at the front desk and she said that's not her problem there seems to be some kind of glitch between cash app and their system and we could not check into our hotel room. She told me the only thing that I can do would be to contact Cash app support, which I did on a Sunday night. Cash app confirmed that the Hilton poplar did in fact place the hold on my card. I went back in with tears in my eyes showing this lady that they have taken the money and cash app support also said that they have taken the money but she refused to give us a room. This trip was planned back in October of last year for my boyfriend's birthday and now it was ruined. She made us leave and we had to scrape up some more money to get another room somewhere else and we didn't have any problems swiping the same card to pay for it and get checked in. We were not able to do anything that we wanted to do because our money was tied up. It's been over a week and we still have not received our $479 from the Hilton Poplar. 0/0 stars definitely do not recommend. The front desk lady seems so unempathetic, she didn't care at all about what was going on even though she could see that the money had been taken she did not try to speak for us, she did not try to advocate for us, she just sent us away.
