The location could not be better, you are central and right along the river. Beyond that, front desk reception is genuinely the nicest. The team at the desk was very warm and welcoming both in the evening and during the day time.

The rooms were basically from the 90s. The bed-side alarm was coated - and I mean coated - in a sticky dust. The bathroom was old-school nineties linoleum and the shower was so gross and old-looking - with a yellowed showerhead - that I didn't even use it (was a short overnight trip). The carpet was somewhat sticky, which I think was a result of - yep, being very old. The desk/table was scuffed up, and badly worn down. This hotel is alarmingly overdo for an upgrade, especially for real estate in such an ideal location. Also there was only one lock on the hotel door - which, as a solo female traveler - is very alarming. Hotels are notorious for technical issues resulting in hotel keys being wrongfully distributed - the fact that there was no fold-lock as a physical security precaution was very problematic. If you're traveling with family, looking for a budget stay, there are worse hotels out there - but if you're looking for a comfortable stay, I'd say look elsewhere until the hotel is updated.

The hotel is located in an amazing location, really close to the main attractions in Chicago. It’s nice and clean and around it’s plenty of nice rooftop bars and restaurants

The elevators could take really long cuz there are just two for more than 30 floors and sometimes you have to wait 10/15 minutes.

It was clean, and the location and price are excellent!

It’s a very well located hotel, and if you get the right room you also get views of the river (but by default also a massive TRUMP sign). Rooms feel pretty clean and nice if a little cramped and old school. Got a high floor so there was silence all around. Don’t remember there being breakfast on offer.

The beds are definitely on the smaller side. Been a while since I felt this about a hotel bed so was a bit taken aback. Probly due to the room design being very long but very narrow. They double charged me (paid for the hotel on booking and upon checking in when I thought I was authorizing just the deposit they charged me for the room again and couldn’t immediately reverse it)

I liked everything about this hotel, starting with the check in which was carried out automatically at the kiosk available at reception, the people were all very polite, the cleanliness of the room and the hotel as well. Excellent location and very close to everything. I'm sure I will come back again.

The room did not have a very good view due to it being in the farthest part of the building from the street. The room didn't keep the temperature warm, even changing the temperature of the heater, but this didn't affect our stay and it doesn't discredit the hotel in any way. Just leaving a comment for future improvements.

The location was perfect, across the road from the river. We were in walking distance to the airport train line, Lake Michigan and Cloud Gate. The room felt corporate but also felt cosy.

It’s location is great

When I paid extra for a king size room I was not expecting two twin sized bed putting together and I kept falling into the crack at night. I have no idea why this hotel is rated this high when I saw spiders in the room and outlets not working…. It’s location is great thought I gotta say.

Servicio de limpieza, como turista no tienes el tiempo de estar llamando a "agendar" la limpieza del cuarto y eso hizo que por 2 días nuestro cuarto no estuviera limpio

The location is excellent for exploring the city. The hotel gym was also decent, compared to other hotels. Filtered drinking water is available at a fountain at least on some floors, which was a nice surprise.

The value for money isn't that great. Rooms (at least on the River Hotel side) are a bit shabby and have wall-to-wall carpets. We booked for the Club Quarters hotel but wound up on the River Hotel side - this was quite confusing. We had a kitchenette and the fridge temp was always at least 10C/50F despite attempts to lower it, which meant that our milk went bad. The AC/heating system was so noisy that even if we would have wanted to heat the room a bit, it was too annoying to keep on.

It doesn’t have its own restaurant however lots of options nearby. Only issue was we arrived quite late on first night and is was not easy to get somewhere to eat however we found a local supermarket and bought sandwiches which was sufficient. Would have been nice to have easy access on first night to some snacks.

Terribles esperas para acceder a los pisos superiores, un solo ascensor en uso que se comparte con personal del hotel. No hacen el room service en tiempo y forma, reclame varias veces en front desk y por mensaje de texto ( tal como ellos sugieren ) y ni siquiera contestan Es un hotel demasiado caro para lo que ofrece.

Excellent location, efficient staff, free water bottles to go, and the views are terrific. The room was small but as a solo traveler it had everything I needed, including tech connections. They also had an espresso machine available on the second floor.

We had to change rooms due to a problem with the HVAC in our first room. In the second room there was a noise from some HVAC on a neighboring building.

I loved the location! Luckily, we received a partial river view which was just beautiful. Being able to walk downstairs down to the riverwalk felt so accessible and right in the middle of things.

Unfortunately, since it was a historic hotel, the elevator was out several times during our stay.
