Close to pier 39, helpful staff.
Was very loud, I could hear the guy in the room next to me snoring and noises from the street. Also there was a door between rooms that didn’t have a key lock just a lock. Made me feel unsafe, as was unsure If they could open it.

I love that you guys provide gated parking.
I didn't love that our room was located in a weird location, tucked away.

Nothing
I booked this hotel as "splurge" in San Francisco for my son's birthday during our 2-week vacation in California. Instead, it was the worst hotel we stayed in during our trip. First, THE HOTEL DOES NOT DISCLOSE THAT IT DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING! It does not claim to have air conditioning, but in an age when air conditioning in hotels is expected, the hotel should freely disclose that it does not have air conditioning on the booking page, and this the hotel does not do (which is fraud by omission in my opinion). When we checked into the hotel, our room was over 80 degrees, and it was too late at night to change hotels. We ended up having to leave our room door open until we were ready for bed just to try to get some of the cooler night air into our room. Leaving the windows open while sleeping was no help, because the windows had no screens, allowing bugs/mosquitos to enter the room while sleeping. The city noises were also pretty loud, which we needed closed windows to try to tune out. In short, had I known the hotel had no air conditioning, I never would have booked this hotel for our stay, which I'm sure is why they fail to disclose the fact that they have no air conditioning on their booking page. Additionally, our room had no blackout curtains for the windows, and our room faced a brightly lit parking lot due to the high crime in the area. The lack of blackout curtains meant our room was still pretty bright at night. Further, the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken and leaked soap all over the bathroom counter top, and the shampoo dispenser in the shower was also broken and would not stay up, forcing us to shower sideways in the water spray to avoid knocking into the shampoo cover or hold it up with one hand while we showered with the other. Finally, although the room was supposed to come with a complimentary bottle of water, we never got it, even though we asked.

Location was amazing,
Room was lower quality than we expected and no air con which was not obvious from the write up. The property is old and is showing its age.

Staff politeness
False representation of facts..... published extra additional toilets on Booking webpage but in actual ONLY one toilet in every Room....
Coffee machine was not working....

It's not in a "great" location but it's in a convenient location. About a 5 minute walk to pier 39, very close to everything. Staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. It's dated, but clean. Free parking is available so that's a bonus.
Again, it's dated but clean and comfortable.

Being right on the warf you can't beat the location. The private balconies are nice and they have good views. The rooms were recently remodeled.
You gotta be there early to make sure you get a parking spot or you have to find parking

The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We had new coffee every morning.
the battery in our safe was low and needed replacing, which I told the staff at the front desk. unfortunately the battery was never replaced.
Also, every morning someone in an adjoining room kept smoking pot which made it‘s way through the air ducts into the bathroom.

the location near the beach
could hear people upstairs and across the street

Location was perfect. We hate driving in San Francisco so it's a perfect place for wandering the area. I also appreciate that the parking is free. That's how I found it the 1st time we came.
The website needs to be updated. It didn't indicate at all that there were mini fridges in the room. I specifically looked for that.
3.5
The locations fantastic and the room was pretty upgraded except the bathroom.
The toilet didn't work unless you took the top off and pulled the chain yourself.

couldn't ask for a better location
hotel is fine...nothing fancy but the price and location was excellent

location and free parking
had absolutely no towels and in the morning the phones in room were under maintenance couldn’t communicate within lobby

car area felt secure however we had people playing music all night and then again at 7am. pretty rough area IMO however the guy at the front desk was very nice and helpful. I think staying further away from the wharf might have been a better option

In a great location that is a short walking distance to pier 39 and ghiradelli square. Free parking available. Random passerby's cannot access the stairs or elevators without a room key which made it feel safer.
Across the street from the hotel is a strip of businesses that seemed to have a lot of homeless/mentally unwell people hanging around. We didnt feel comfortable walking on that side of the street with our small children. Multiple instances of people yelling and cussing, pretending to shoot cars as they drove by and other erratic behavior. The rooms were satisfactory but more run down than expected. The bottom of the main window curtain had black mold spots. Lots of other general wear and tear but the beds were comfortable. The parking lot was very tight and they do not have enough spaces for all guests so once you secured one you definitely didnt feel like you could take your car back out without risking not having a spot.

Bed and pillows were so comfortable.
Parking isn’t guaranteed. Walls are very thin.

I love the location. The views from our room were excellent. It was clean and felt safe.
We booked the "mini-suite" which was a stretch. It was a regular room, with a tiny attached room with a tiny bathroom. The tiny attached room only fit one person.
1.5
good location, & free parking
Did not like it at all. It is an older hotel, really run down, the rooms are spartan, the heater is loud, sometimes blowing cold air. No complimentary water, the hallways are gritty, & unwelcoming. The beds did not have adequate blankets.
4.0
Free parking and fairly modern room
Low shower head and poor water pressure

Very clean facility and the staff was super hospitable and caring!! The best part is the cars are locked in the hotel area and you can come and go as you please during your stay. The only way in or out is by a piece of paper establishing you're a hotel resident.
I have nothing bad to say!!

It was close to the wharf and restaurants. Great parking with security. The rooms were clean.
Not alot of information for people visiting. The guy at desk when checking in wasn't very helpful.

The location is outstanding, specially if you’re looking into staying a block away from Pier 39. I liked that is a secured place with gates, camera and front desk all time.
No microwave on the room.
2.5
good location right next to the wharf, room was clean, bed was comfortable, nice bathroom, friendly staff, comfortable room, free gated parking
walls are paper thin, could hear every conversation from our neighbors, really loud neighbors, no air conditioning (there is a ceiling fan at least), room was fairly small for price (no amazing amenities), small shower, water temperature fluctuates bad
