No breakfast. Community showers and toilets. That's always fun in the middle of the night to use the toilet! Then you finally get to the toilet down the hall and it's occupied. THERE WAS NOTHING TO LIKE. Oh, maybe one thing. They did have coffee.

EVERYTHING! No heat. Only those ridiculous space heaters that don't up your room.

Location! close proximity to fishermans wharf. and local transportation that can take you to other spots in the city. plus the cable car turnaround was a block away behind this building so you can get first dibs on where to sit for the trip if there’s no line.

the place is a bit cramped and the rooms are small. but what main issue is with the bedding. they look & feel old. I wish they change to newer ones.

Location location location!!!! We walked to all the things. Great coffee. Charming and more interesting than a chain hotel.

This photograph was not the place where we stayed. There wasn't any breakfast but hot water, a microwave, and a coffee pot in the lobby. Tea bags, hot chocolate and coffee were provided. Shared bathroom was always clean. Bed was made up everyday and garbage removed. I will return. Very quiet area. I still like.

Sometimes too lazy to get up and go. A small refrigerator would be nice inside rooms. Iron/board. I liked the idea of the antique toilet. Reminded me of yester year. Wasn't bad at all

Everything is old and not convenient: sink is one for several rooms and it is at the corridor, toilets were not clean.

De locatie en de prijskwaliteitverhouding zijn top! In een veilige buurt, niet ver van het water, waar je 's avonds nog wat kunt rondwandelen en er veel restaurantjes zijn. Dit is essentieel wanneer je een hotel boekt in SF en veel hotels in goede buurten zijn een pak duurder. Ook vlakbij het Cablecar turnpoint. Het personeel is vriendelijk, er is 24u/24 iemand aanwezig en ze voorzien bagage-opslag. Tussen bepaalde uren kan je gratis koffie en thee nemen. De badkamers zijn gedeeld (wat duidelijk bij boeken aangegeven wordt), maar alles is netjes en de douches zijn warm en comfortabel.

Het grootste minpunt voor ons was de grootte van de kamer: erg klein. Net voldoende ruimte om rond het bed (ook eerder smal voor 2 personen) te wandelen, maar geen mogelijkheid om een zak of valies ergens te leggen. Het was ook erg warm in onze kamer. De badkamers zijn gedeeld. Dit was voor ons geen enkel probleem, al vind ik wel dat er een eerder beperkt aantal douches, wc's en lavabo's beschikbaar is per aantal kamers. Het was soms wachten hierdoor. Ik had ook soms moeite om de douches op slot te krijgen; de sloten waren hard/stroef (maar dit is vermoedelijk gemakkelijk op te lossen).

Although the hotel is trying to be in keeping with original decor and history of the hotel, the decor was dated and there was a strong musty smell throughout the hotel.

Posizione centralissima e comodissima per Fisherman's wharf e North Beach. Abbiamo apprezzato molto la presenza di un distributore automatico di bevande calde al mattino e acqua. Camera un po' piccola ma con tutto l' essenziale. I servizi in comune sempre piuttosto puliti. Sicuramente ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ci torneremo!

I've stayed at San Remo many times (before Covid). but will not return. The location is convenient and the restaurant downstairs is very good. The shared showers were clean and appeared to be recently tiled. Sadly, everything else was lacking.

Unfortunately, the hotel has changed ownership and the hotel looks a little run down. For instance, our room (very small) was very cold - it had no heat! We were offered a portable heater but it did not feel safe to use is such small confines. The carpets felt like they needed a deep cleaning - do not take off your shoes!

Beautiful, unique hotel. Welcoming friendly staff, fantastic location. Loved the atmosphere. A great bonus is free tea and bean-to-cup coffee in the mornings.

Good location: close to Pier 33 (Alcatraz boat tour) and to the Powell Street cable car end point. Nice, helpful staff. Clean room and bathroom. Free coffee in the morning.

I missed fridge from the room. Walls are thin and restaurant beneath is sometimes loud.

Super Lage in der Nähe vom Fisherman's warf. Das Hotel hat einen ganz eigenen Charme, da das Hotel größtenteils im historischen Zustand von 1906 belassen wurde. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

• 房間真的非常小，只能睡覺用，大行李箱無法平放 • 老房子味道有點重，加上被分配到的房間是沒有對外窗的很悶，住的三天過敏很嚴重🤧 • 第一天被分配到的房間沒有清潔乾淨，床是濕的有點可怕，和前台反應後有馬上幫我們換房間，建議大家入住時要先徹底檢查

I really loved this hotel. It had an ambiance that I had never seen in a hotel before, it was like I was travelling back in time! Coffee was also great, loved the hazelnut milk! :)

Shared bathrooms wouldn’t be my first choice, but they were very clean!

Aire acondicionado no era muy potente y se podía pasar calor fácilmente durante la noche.

L’emplacement est génial, le personnel est charmant. On a d’abord eu une chambre assez bruyante au dessus d’un restaurant. On en a parlé au gérant et il nous a directement proposé une autre chambre moins bruyante.

Isolation sonore, on entend beaucoup les bruits de la rue, du couloir et du restaurant en dessous

It is my second time staying at this hotel . I love the location . Super easy to get anywhere in SF and seems safe .Bed was comfortable and toilets/ showers were clean .

The smell as soon as you open the main door downstairs. It is clearly lack of ventilation and I think a change in carpet maybe would also solve the problem. Also water machine doesn’t work . Throughout my stay one of the toilets was out of order which wasn’t good as it gets busy in the mornings and often I had to wait as even the upstairs toilets were busy .

La zona un poco oscura por la noche. Las puertas de las habitaciones muy ruidosas. Habitación pequeña.

Vintage charm, location

Room was stuffy, water machine didn’t work

Well equipped Coffee machine and microwave in hallway. Quaint old vintage style building With character. Interesting decor. Shared bathroom clean. Staff were helpful excepting the Manager... Only stayed there as the price was discounted on booking dot com. Would not pay the full price for the hotel.

. We were very disappointed with the attitude of the Manager who would not honour the price we paid for previous nights and that was approved by night-shift staff for a further nights stay. . Saturday. . He too said we could have it at the same price as before, then when paying, he, changed his own price and kept saying weekend prices are higher although the advertised price online for a Sunday was the same price we were paying for the previous two nights.and approved for the Saturday. If we could have been bothered packing up, we could have gone up the road for cheaper, nicer and free breakfast as per listing's for that night. Maybe the manager was banking on that, as I heard other guests queued behind us say the same thing. Very small room for international traveller's with a suitcase. Nowhere to open it up and access. Small bed. Maybe double size. Hubby 6 foot 2. No aircon so dependent upon windows open so have to be discreet with neighboring rooms windows and sounds. But others were fairly considerate also. No fridge but staff will put a few labeled things in their office fridge. Only off put was the odour in the downstairs entranceway which is small and cramped. Could be the stained carpet? May need a decent deodourising deep clean?

Clean, lovely rooms and beds. Very local to all the main sights. I was concerned about the shared bathrooms but they were great, clean, great showers.

The only downside was the fact the walls to the rooms are thin, but other guests kept noise down so this wasn't a huge problem overnight

Location was fantastic, especially if planning to visit North Beach and Telegraph Hill. The rooms were tidy, shared bathrooms were never busy and always clean with cotton buds, cotton pads, mouthwash, soap and shampoo! The water dispenser and free coffee machine were such a lovely surprise and definitely much needed in the mornings. Overall 10/10 stay!
