We 2ere happy with the balcony view and general location of the hotel.

The pool was under construction. We did not know that until we got there. Because of the construction there was no beach access. We had to walk to the next property over to access the beach. The sheets we stained yellow and dingy. The couch bed mattress was so thin you could feel the springs digging into your back. The bathroom door would not fully close or lock.

Pool area/outdoor area under construction, no access to beach without walking a couple blocks, lack of adequate parking, no good drinking water (not even with breakfast), rude kitchen staff who scold little children, and absolutely no service if you want to eat in the pretend hotel restaurant where you will be ignored until you leave to get food elsewhere. Very under-staffed. Narrow hallways and dirty carpets. Seemingly uncontrollable room temperature.

No pool or bar understandable they can’t control Mother Nature but was not advertised on website till during our stay

I loved my stay at the Hyatt Place Daytona Beach oceanfront. The hotel was very clean. The staff was amazing overall I had a wonderful stay here and I will definitely be back.

Honestly, the only drawback about the hotel was that there was no beach access because they were working on their pool area, but I wouldn’t really called that a drawback,because they were trying to make improvements to better the hotel. wasn’t really their fault. I just kind of wish they would’ve told me before I booked that I would have to walk down the road to the beach. Breakfast was good however I wish it had more options.

Staff was nice.

We were told when we checked in that hotel tried contacting us a few months ago when we booked our room to tell us that the pool and beach access were closed...which is not true. We had another family member book her own room and she was not contacted either. So, I would call first before booking to see if their pool and beach access is open again, which it looks like it won't be for a while. Their "complementary breakfast" was complete inedible. Like, bad bad. Bathroom door, shower head seemed to be about to break. We paid an extra $80.00 to check in 2 hours early, so overall paid $360 for a hotel with no pool, no beach access, horrible breakfast. My family is pretty upset about this, but it is what it is. Beds were comfortable, staff was friendly. That's about it. We'll never stay here again.

Our check in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM. They did not have a room available for us until almost 9:30 PM. I called so many times to see if our room was ready yet and the front desk would answer and hang up. I went to the hotel front desk. there was one guest that walked up with me. No other guests checking in. I called standing in front of the desk 3 times and watched the employee (with no guests to attend to) answer and hang up the phone over and over. I spoke with the other receptionist expressed being upset over the room not being available until 9:30 and then the employee refusing to answer the phone. She stated her GM would be in the following day and could issue a refund for the inconveniences. She was kind through the process, but the guy up front was so rude. Also, another guest came to see if their room was ready at 9:30 PM and was informed they would have NO ROOM for her. We went to our room and the air conditioner was broke. It was over 80 degrees in our room and felt like the whole floor. The comforters on the bed had black stains across them, the pull out sofa was soaking wet, there was no pool, and had to walk down the road for public beach access. This was nothing as described on booking. Horrible experience, so stressful. Especially having to wait until 930 with a young child and then bring them to a disgusting room to sleep.
