Location is perfect for spending a day on the lake. You can walk to it from the property. Staff was extremely friendly and even though we didn’t use the pool, it looked nice and clean. Breakfast was decent. They kept it fully stocked which was nice and it had the normal variety to choose from of hot and cold breakfast which was a bonus.
Room was decent. Size was good. There were gross spots on the wall that needed to be wiped down but overall felt pretty clean except for that. Friends stayed in the cabins and those seemed pretty clean too and nice. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Just that our room wall had a gross substance on it that needed to be cleaned, but the rest of the room looked and felt clean.
The staff was extremely friendly but sometimes it was hard to find someone who worked there.

The room was as expected. Beds and linen very nice and comfortable. Clean. We've stayed at Mariners Inn several times in the past and find the location to be great, surrounded by woods and adjacent to a marina full of sailboats. Plenty of places to go for a quiet walk if so inclined. We had a problem with our room heat, and it was fixed promptly.
NOT LIKE: coffee machine in lobby only, bascially instant coffee, kitchen - food lame, barely adequate fare, eat elsewhere
We had a problem with our room heat. The heater was not working properly. Stayed that way all night and our room was somewhat too cool. In the morning we found the right person to fix the problem. After that it was fine, but we wondered how long this problem had existed for others who have had that room. There is no shampoo or bath wash in the bath. The hallways were cold. Only decaf coffee in the room. Friends who rented the cabin had no heat. They were moved to the hotel. Then the heat was fixed, only to fail again and had to move back. They were not adequately compensated. Cheap owner.

Pretty much nothing.
Couldn't have been more disappointed with the quality of the room. Common areas were disgusting and it took all of ten minutes in the room to decide to book elsewhere (and further away) from the event we were attending for the evening. The charge for the room ($160+) was an absolute joke for the quality of the room and I would never recommend anyone ever stay at this location.

nothing.
it was messy. they changed our rooms three times and we ended up being stuck in a smaller room when we paid for a suit. no Wi-Fi. no breakfast.

location to where we were visiting ppl. would be better as a stay for more than one night if you like to fish or see the area.
Property was older. Rooms were ok but stained carpet. windowsill had dead bugs and flies. expensive for the area and for the shape of the resort.

The fact that it isn’t a chain.
The lack of basic amenities; the room had one tiny bar of soap for two people and the bath towels were small and flimsy. The woman who checked us in gave no information, at all. The breakfast had no hot options and the room was crowded.

Location was great - right by Carlyle lake. I was doing the triathlon on Sept 18th and staying at the Mariners Village allowed me to walk to the race site instead of dealing with a car.
Room was nice and clean with plenty of space, a comfortable bed, and a refrigerator and microwave.
My only comment would be to add USB outlets for charging devices like phones and watches. Fortunately, I had brought one with me. Many hotels now have USB outlets as well as normal electrical plug outlets and this would be a nice enhancement.

Location would have been perfect for us.
Let’s start with the hotel hallway, it felt like it was 200 degrees walking to our room. When entering the room it was a tad bit cooler as the air conditioner was struggling to keep up. At first glance the room appeared clean but it did not take long for realization to kick in and to know that you were standing in a filthy room. When I pulled back the bedding to find that all the bedding was used and visibly dirty. After speaking to the front desk and asking that the bedding be changed, they looked confused. After dinner, my family and I went back to the room, pulled the bedding down to find the same dirty bedding on the made bed. Nothing was changed, the beds were just made. Once again, I went back down to the front desk and spoke to the manager (I believed was the manager) and told them what I found and requested. We argued back and forth for about 5 minutes, I asked them to follow me up to the room, which they did. I was practically begging them to change my bedding and they indicated that they do not change the bedding all the time, only when it is dirty. I showed them the stains and filth and they still refused to change the bedding and asked if I wanted a refund. At this point, we checked out. The manager gave me a receipt of the refund but has not actually refunded my money. Bedding should always be changed in between guest and now that Covid is here, I would think it is required to change bedding in between guests. If they are not keeping the bedding clean I believe they are not cleaning the surfaces either. CDC Claims: A recent review of the survival of human coronaviruses on surfaces found large variability, ranging from 2 hours to 9 days (11). This hotel is a breeding ground for Covid. I will not even begin to tell you the amount of crawling insects that we saw in the hotel, the manager states that he can not get rid of them, but I believe hiring an exterminator would go a long way at this location.
