close to the Castle area parking available thanks for the milk/ bread and butter

comfortable bed….BUT small ( as an O/S traveller wasn’t sure what ‘full bed’ meant )it’s a big enough room… put 2 single bed that can be joined to make a king… what couple really these days want to share a double bed!!! shabby carpet all buckled.. needs fixing old TV… need to update to smart TV bathroom floor tiles cracked and loose… needs replacement or fix it!!! it is 3 flights of stairs to get there… so think hard if you decide on this one no aircon but we didn’t require it.

My main complaint is with booking.com as the apartment was advertised at £243, but in checkout the discounted £21 (as Genius member) had been deleted and had to pay full £264. Please refund the outstanding £21. The bathroom in the apartment needs TLC - faulty shower and broken tiles.

Flat was spacious, comfortable, quiet, well equipped and very clean. The location is good with an easy, short, pleasant walk through the park to town centre, and also on a bus route. Good secure parking included.

Shower head difficult and needs replacing. Though information from host generally very good, it does need updating as car park gate has changed and some of recommended restaurants have closed. Lots of stairs as flat on top floor, which was not a problem for us but could be for less mobile.

Good location near city centre and Portcanna is a a lovely area. . Large and light. Parking available. Kitchen facilities ok and worked. Fine for cooking. Quiet as on top floor and bedroom at back.

Very basic furniture. Superficially clean but bedding needed improvement as not very fresh, and towels poor. The kitchen/ lounge area smelt of airfreshener and smoking. Bathroom needs attention as looks a bit tatty though clean and facilities worked. A non slip mat should be provided for bath as otherwise very slippy. The outer door to the apartment locked but once inside, none of the room door handles worked and the bedroom door did not shut. Hallways on building could be cleaner. Just needs some care!

Great location and great host, so nice to have milk, bread etc ready for us in the kitchen and the host was super responsive and kind.

The sofa bed is smaller than a double and the heating complicated.

Perfect location..top floor flat although there is a pub straight across the road and it’s on a busy main road we heard no noise or traffic at all..easy access..rooms all a good size..had a problem with the toilet so messaged the landlord and was fixed the very same day..everything we needed and a comfortable stay

If I had to pick something it would be that the entrance halls and stairs up to the flat smelt really quite bad of damp and in need of a bit of a clean..

The location of this property is spot on. Really close to central Cardiff, and a great array of cafes and restaurants nearby. Check-in was super easy.

The apartment is clean and functional but really underwhelming. It’s not the sort of place we wanted to hang out for very long as it wasn’t comfortable or inviting. The bathroom needs a lot of work: lots of loose tiles, grimy decor, old and dry towels, and the toilet was broken - I had to fiddle with the cistern to stop it running every time we used it. Seems I’m not the only person to raise that but clearly it hasn’t been addressed. The welcome folder is years out of date. Luckily we were visiting a local who informed us that several of the restaurants recommended had shut several years before.

Great location close to Bute Park and a plenty of nice bars/restaurants. Within walking distance of lots of tourist attractions, e.g. Cardiff Castle and the National Museum. Aesthetically pleasing property/street. Having a reserved parking space was really useful.

Property could have been cleaner inside. Whilst surfaces had visibly been cleaned, less obvious areas were a bit dirty. For example, a tower fan was provided (which was much appreciated); however, it was so clogged up with dust that it barely worked. Having to clean this was not the best start to the holiday. Moreover, some things were broken: the spark on the hob didn’t work (although a lighter was provided), the bathroom towel radiator leaked (containers had been left underneath to catch drips), and the toilet would not stop when flushed (unless you stomped heavily on the floor in front of it ).

The Apartment was a really nice size and in a great location with a few nice bars and restaurants nearby. It was only a short walk to the city center too

Apartment was a good size and was clean and comfortable. Great location for city centre and near by Barry. Everything you need and few nice little extras like milk, bread, tea etc. Secure off road parking perfect. Nice places to eat and drink within walking distance. Front door lock fell off upon arrival but host was out within an hour to sort it! A+ service!

The road may be a little noisy for some, but some noise to be expected with city location. Bathroom needs a few maintenance issues addressed but nothing that meant couldn’t use facilities.

The location is excellent with easy access to the city centre and Bute Park, plus a parking space. The bed was very comfortable. I had to contact the host about the heating system but it was quickly sorted.

Accomodation is comfortable although a little basic, with some areas of the bathroom needing some attention.
