Everything about this place is amazing, location straight on the beach, view for sunset amazing, hospitality unbeatable, food is amazing, the most friendly place we have ever stayed can not recommend highly enough, the family who run it can not do enough to ensure you have a great stay

The location and the parents of the owner were exceptional. Even though we unable to understand their language but still we were understanding each other requirement.

Nothing as such

Overall our stay at Angeo Beach House was pleasant. We visited Alappuzha for five days in July. This is not a conventional hotel, but a homestay run by the Angeos. Martin is very communicative and cooperative. However, he is not present at the house all the time as he runs the family's other businesses. His parents are there almost 24*7 and take care of all your needs. Although they do not speak English (or any other language common between us), it was not very difficult for us to communicate afterall. For the detailed instructions (e.g. discussing lunch and dinner menu) we could communicate with Martin on WhatsApp easily, who immediately communicated that to his parents. Location-wise, we couldn't have asked for more. The sea is about 50 metres from this property and you can enjoy the beach all by yourself. The rooms are spacious and clean, exactly as shown in the pictures. The property is well-maintained and the Angeos take good care if it. The house is in Thumpoly which is about 4-5 kms away from Alappuzha centre. But, they can easily arrange auto-rickshaw for daily trips in the surrounding areas. We got along well with Francis, our auto-rickshaw driver, who took the initiative to show us the landmarks around. Our breakfast was included in our daily room price and every morning we received local dishes prepared by Martin's parents. We also had some lunch and dinner there. They were very flexible with our wishes and prepared whatever we wanted. We mostly tried out different local fishes. To sum up, it was a great stay there. The atmosphere is very homely. The Angeos are very warm and kind and often go out of their way to help you. Martin is proactive in arranging and helping with activities that you could do in Alappuzha.

Here are some things for the guests to keep in mind: Note that the food prepared by them are quite pricey. (Unfortunately, in Thumpoly not many places are available for food.) Also, drinking water is charged extra. Here are some suggestions that the hosts could consider for improvement: Infrastructure-wise, I hope they upgrade a few things with time for their own safety and flexibility. The fuse boxes are dangerously uncovered. Also, it will be good if they start accepting payments by card. Right now, they only accept cash or G-pay. Finally, I felt that it would be more convenient if they provide a water kettle in every room for the guests. Otherwise, for tea/hot water, you have to ask them everytime to boil water for you.

Fantastic Angeo

If you are looking for a calm and quiet stay, this is the place for you. It's right next to the beach, friendly neighborhood. I would like to thanks the caretakers, Michael and Martha. They are one of the lovely couple I've met and they made us feel like staying at home. Had a wonderful time. The food was awesome.

Only food taste, Two aged people is so kind and good

Not for family stay, AC is have enough cooling, Price is high, charged 2000 but only worth for Rs 1000
