Nice and clean apartment. Good location.

There is only one small window, so there is no air in the flat. No conditioning system. We have got a visit of the neighbour, that we are walking too noisy. There is very low sound protect in the house.

The location is good but has many steps to get into the house. It's pretty quiet considering the house is in a central place. The house is close to high point view places. The host sent us an email with many travel information.

The uber can't drop off us near the house because of the roadblock due to national holidays and many steps in the Alfama area. The days we stayed were quite hot. There is only one fan in the living room. The bedroom has no window and better to have another fan to bring some air in.

The only positive note is the loacation - close to the center.

The room is too small for 4 person, enough just for 2 (max. 3). BUT, 1 more circumstance was even worse. The flat was on the first flour (1ESQ.). Considering that the house itself is quite old (inn Alfama all houses are like this, it is an old city area), there was the unpleasant neighour living on the ground flour that continued critisize us 'for the excessive noise' all days round. She came knocking on the door less than 10 minutes after we entered the flat...Each time you crossed bear foot the room (simply to go to the bathroom) she would knock the ceiling/ or come directly to ring the door to remind you of being TOO NOISY. Unfortunately I have't ready any comments from other travellers about such circumstances in advance, I would have never booked the apartment.

Great facilities to do cooking at the apartment. Great to have netflix for the children and the location was in the heart of the sights and within walking distance to some of the beautiful landmarks. As long as you dont mind climbing lots of stairs and hills.

The electricity cut out a few times but the hosts were very informative about how to rectify this. The neighbour who lives downstairs came to complain a few times because we were making noise.... we were only walking around so the sound obviously travels down and we had to tiptoe around the rest of the trip so she wouldn't complain again. I wouldn't recommend the property for that of a family unfortunately as there is a lot of outside noise from nearby venues and the bin men in the night. It is incredibly loud and unfortunately isn't ideal with two small children.

The host were very friendly and responsive. The property is in the middle of the town and easy to get to different tourist destinations by both public transport and walking. The sofa bed is very comfortable and big.

Hot water in the bathroom is not working properly, we had to have cold shower during cold month in December.

We've got all the instructions in advance and it was close to the city center! Liked that we had an iron and soap in the bathroom. Can't complain about the cleanliness either.

It is definitely small for 4 people but can't get along with the ADDITIONAL 16EUR we had to pay despite when I booked on this site it said 'All taxes are included". I double checked and if I try to book again, it does not say anywhere that there is an additional fee, although it is included in the price! UPDATE: the misunderstanding comes from the fact that booking.com shows the price, than they charge (or at least they charged me) the price MINUS the tax. I modified my feedback because it is truly not the host's fault!

Location is great, in the middle of Alfama, just a few steps from tram 28 and very close to lovely restaurants wher they sing Fado and serve gerat food. It is very quiet and charming. Hosts were very helpful as we could not find the apartment on our arrival - taxi drivere dropped us in adifferent location. I liked the decor

Dampness, Apartment is very damp (no ventilation), mould in corners (bedroom and living room). I came back with chest infection - have allergy to mould, had to get steroids and inhaler after 5 days stay. We came at Easter. It was sunny for 2 and a little rainy for 3 days, we could not get our stuff dry for 3 days. The washing machine with dryer in the apartment would be good option - I am aware of lundry located few miuntes away but I do not want to waste my time on going to lundry to wash a few pairs of socks.

The Location of the apartment is super. We didn't meet the host but there are super fast answering emails. Kitchen is new (but..)

The apartment is noisy, you hear the neighbour's walking in the stairwell. There are two hotplates but if you use both the electricity breakes down.
