Very Nice B&B. Nice and clean room with a great kitchen. Breakfast wad satisfying. The pool was small Nice and clean . The staff was really kind .

The mosquito net was not perfect covering so we got a lot of mosquito bites especially our little son . The breakfast was good but would be Nice to have some tomatoes, cheese , cucumber and so on .

We came with mom for a week and chose Maisha Marefu apartment. It was excellent, the owner Lara♥️ took care of us and help with everything by the way even she made a beautiful surprise for us bcz of moms birthday. From the place to the service it was great. Highly recommend for all 👌 we had a great time in this place. Thank you again Maisha Marefu Team. Definitely will be back 🥰🌹

I was perfectly happy with my apartment. It was spacious, very clean and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly & the host provided lots of information and I was very grateful to her for sorting my moped hire out for me. The location is secluded, away from the beach but perfectly safe & accessible.

Stayed at Maisha Marefu as i prefer to have a self catering option. The facilities were spot on in terms of all you need to make your stay comfortable. The beds were super comfy and the linen of decent quality and clean. Our apartment was cleaned every day (except the dishes). The manager was uber helpfull and the staff super friendly. Location is not on the beach but the 5 minute walk to the beach was not a big deal. Lovely aircon in the lounge although only fan in rooms.

Only suggestion i would say is to supply first morning supply of coffee,sugar,milk (like in a hotel room) and maybe a small shaker of salt and pepper, as arrivng late in the everning with no supply of groceries or having to buy a massive tub of salt always a mission. Another suggestion is to please supply ice cube trays in the freezer. Otherwise no complaints.

Excelent accommodation, great services. The owner îs the most kind person on earth, helpful in anything you need, supportive in giving great pieces of advice about everything around. Good choice for a very good vacation

So many small details and beautiful touches -- from the salon-level bathroom products to the Lavazza coffee maker. So clean, so well-decorated -- and of course the pool and the view are magnificent. Hope to come back and take advantage of the fire pit, too! Really just perfection, through and through.

The staff was really amazing and the place so nice. My friends and i enjoyed the swimming pool a lot and the place so pretty.

Bed was a bit tough but really really big so i spent good night though

Everything else! Nice and cozy pool, good breakfast (fruits, sausages, toasts and eggs made to your liking) and most importantly - the staff! Lara (Manager) was very helpful and nice. The ladies handling the breakfast were very nice as well, there was no problem in having something prepared for you if you won't manage to go during the usual time. I totally recommend the place.

The location was some distance from the beach,in a pretty secluded place.For me it was a slight downside, but I can see that some people will like it.

We immediately felt at home in Maisha Marefu! The standard is above average for Zanzibar and very clean. The staff may not speak English as well as some of the locals, but communication was always smooth. The view is wonderful, the apartment very well equipped and clean. The pool was great - our son loved it. There was plenty of comfort and space to relax - especially the "solarium" upstairs was so relaxing! Breakfast was typical of the country - there was fresh fruit, toast, coffee and tea, yogurt and/or muffins and a freshly squeezed juice. In addition, fresh eggs or sausages were served. The apartment is about 5 minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Kiwengwa. On the road on the way to the beach there is the possibility to get water, cigarettes and so on. Other shopping facilities like a supermarket and an ATM can be reached after about 10-15 minutes walk. We would recommend the accommodation to anyone - especially with children.

The surrounding area is less touristy and - typical for Africa - partly full of garbage. But of course the apartment can't do anything for that. One should not be deterred by this. And the locals around were without exception friendly and helpful.
