Mise à jour en 2018, Sandown est une maison à l'envers spacieuse et confortable qui offre l'endroit parfait pour une famille ou un groupe d'amis à la recherche d'une maison de vacances exceptionnellement bien équipée. Les principaux avantages de Sandown incluent chaque chambre d'amis ayant sa propre douche privée et une télévision, toutes au rez-de-chaussée, donc pas loin pour transporter vos bagages! La maison dispose d'un grand parking pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 4 voitures sur le terrain. La cuisine et la buanderie sont très équipées de la plupart des gadgets et ustensiles de cuisine que vous trouverez à la maison. Et le salon et la salle à manger relaxants sont situés à l'étage pour profiter de la vue sur la chaîne de montagnes.
Nous sommes situés dans un quartier paisible de Bowness-on-Windermere, au cœur du Lake District anglais. Notre emplacement est sur la route principale du lac, juste à la lisière du village, nous ne sommes donc qu'à quelques minutes de marche douce du lac Windermere et de tout ce que le village de Bowness a à offrir ou Windermere est à 20 minutes de marche sur la route.
Nous acceptons les chiens et accueillons un chien bien élevé pour lequel nous ne facturons pas de frais, mais si vous souhaitez amener 2 chiens, veuillez me contacter avant de réserver pour demander la permission, nous facturons des frais de nettoyage supplémentaires de 40 £ pour un deuxième chien.
Nous offrons également le WI-FI et le linge de lit gratuits, des téléviseurs dans toutes les chambres, 1 serviette de bain et de main pp et des tapis de bain. Nous fournissons également des tablettes pour lave-vaisselle, du liquide vaisselle, des torchons et des rouleaux de papier toilette.
Malgré notre emplacement central, nous avons beaucoup de parking pour les clients dans nos jardins. Veuillez noter que la maison ne peut accueillir que 7 personnes plus bébé maximum. Nous avons 1 lit de voyage et chaise haute disponibles.
Notre journée de basculement hebdomadaire est un vendredi, mais nous proposons de courtes pauses. Le check in est à 16h et le check out à 10h. Hors saison, nous pouvons envisager des jours d'enregistrement différents s'il s'agit d'une réservation d'une semaine.

We had a brilliant week at Sandown. Location was perfect just a few mins walk into centre of town. We loved the house it had everything we needed. Communication with Georgie was excellent. We would definitely stay again 😊

The property is in a great location and had everything we needed. Ample off street parking for our party. The 4 ensuite rooms were ok, but personally we found the shower rooms a touch too small, but overall a great stay

The house is comfortable, nicely furnished and most importantly super clean. Lots of room for all of us with comfy beds and 4 bathrooms was a godsend. The kitchen was great with all the gadgets you’d have at home. Georgie was really helpful and certainly has thought of everything you might need for a great holiday. The location could not be better, far enough away from the hustle and bustle but only a short stroll walk away. The house has many great reviews, when we booked we only noted only one poor one, which in all honestly, now we have stayed we think the people were posting about a different house or must have been very strange as we could not find any faults. In fact we have already looked at dates to book for June. We have given 5 stars and would highly recommend to any family wanting a great location, great house and lovely host. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The bathrooms and bathing facilities In this house are very poor. They are all small but one in particular was ridiculous small, so small you couldn’t close the door and use the towel rail. Also the water pressure was so low showering was very difficult and slow.

The bedrooms were very small and did not provide bathrooms x 4
Bed & bath is misleading. Pokey shower facilities and some shower cubicles were without soap trays or shampoo shelves to use as one showers. No door hooks adequately provided. Water trickled out of the showers making it imposssible to lather up.
Bedding was very old and tired.I’ve thrown better away.
Kitchen looked adequate until one came to find the right pans for the induction rings. Only one pan Was provided, the others would not function, big oversight this.
Washing machine but no soap powered provided!!!
Poor all round, couldn’t wait to get home. Over priced and neglected.
Doors didn’t close. Carpets were fitted but doors not!!!!
Clothes hanging facilities a sad joke. Less than ikea standard.
My advice don’t go to this place.
Next door guests were noisy and when reported contact was disbelieving.

We all really enjoyed staying in this house. The house is very comfortably furnished and ideal for several people. The loccation is also very good if you want to do many outdoor activities in the Lake District.

Not sure we liked the upside down house, but everything we needed was there. Living space is lovely !

We had a wonderful stay and Georgie could not be more accommodating including allowing us to check in a day earlier due to the prior guests checking out early. The house is well equipped and the location is almost exactly in between Windermere and Bowness. We loved the fact we could walk in both directions so the location is just ideal. We would thoroughly recommend this house for any family looking to explore the Lake District. We really appreciated the communication both prior to and during out stay. The welcome pack that was provided, included a parking pass and some goodies that the family really enjoyed. Would go back in the future if we are in the area.

The listing photos show the more up to date areas but other areas, not photographed, are in need of improvement to warrant the house being described as immaculate. A couple of examples being, bedroom door handle almost falling off (which was tricky as the door to the bedroom got stuck on the new carpet and wouldn't shut or open easily), a lot of dirty and chipped crockery, dirty windows and tea towels with brown stain on.
We were there at a busy time and road noise is very evident. The host is very friendly and easy to get in touch with. We had a lovely welcome basket of goodies on arrival, which was very thoughtful.

The property is in a brilliant position for all amenities.It’s a short stroll to the shops,bars,restaurants and the lake.The bus stop is positioned in front of the property which is ideal if you don’t fancy driving.
The house was everything as explained in the advertisement.A nice touch,was a welcome pack left for us on our arrival.In addition to that we had a great host in Georgeene who was available at hand at anytime to sort out any problems if needed.I would definitely return in the future for another family holiday.

House is in a good spot for walking into Bowness and the bus stop is just at the end of the drive. House is fully equipped with everything you need. The on suites are small but each bedroom has one. It’s right on the road so it can be a bit noisy but that the payoff for the great location. Handy large fridge in the utility room. Lots of tourist info in the house. The living room is large as is the dining room so it was perfect for the 6 of us.

Sandown is well situated for walking into Bowness and Windermere. Parking is a bonus . The dinning and lounge area on the upper floor are spacious.

Georgie was very helpful at all points. The Christmas decorations were lovely. I had misunderstood the photos, that featured a real fireplace and presumed we could have a real fire, but there was actually no fire of any type in the fireplace.

We had a great week in very wet weather, the house was warm and clean, just a few minutes into Bowness with lots of lovely shops and cafes.

Lovely property very clean and well equipped. Central location with both Windermere and Bowness within walking distance.

Amazing location for a week away in the lakes to walk, explore and cycle. The rooms are well appointed but during our stay it did feel damp within the bedrooms but not an issue upstairs in the main living area. We are out most of the time but the kitchen has all that we required for breakfast time. Great dinning table for socialising.Recommend by us all
