Our stay was very nice. The Tiki has the perfect proximity to the beach and the grounds and pools are pristine. The unit we stayed in was small but clean and very comfortable, it worked perfectly for us two! The only thing missing was an oven. The first night we we came in very late and wanted to make a pizza but were unable to as there is only a convection microwave. We didn't let that bother us in the least though and everything else went great! Art was very attentive and easy to get in contact with, communication was never a problem. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a wonderful, relaxing vacation.

Fine stay until we found out that we were charged for damages that we did not do. Do not trust the owner Art Conales. He will keep your damage deposit and charge your insurance. You may find mold in the apartment. The Tiki in general is a great place to stay.

The condo was nice and clean and I felt safe while there. I didn't realize that there was a private area leading to the beach at first and it was a really nice discovery. The staff maintained the grounds so it was always clean and welcoming. Nice discovery... the little library for the owners and guests with a large variety of books and puzzles. This is going to be my go to place at SPI from now on.

We were really happy with this place and would stay here again! Pros: -Easy walk through the complex to the beach -Master closet big enough for our pack-n-play -Very Clean (I was scared to book because I didn't want a pet friendly place) -Pool right next to the room and it was warm. -Super nice to be able to park so close to a nice beach and not have to worry about parking! -Fireworks on the beach on weekend nights because we came during summer (thanks to the Marriott) Cons: -The pullout twin bed was fine for my 4 year old but wouldn't be good for an adult (there was an inflatable matress that we didn't use that I am sure would be better for a larger person) -There was only hand soap provided- no toiletries or shower soap (the towels were super soft and wonderful though) -There wasn't dish soap or a sponge or brush for dishes (it was fine for us because we used the dishwasher and cooked minmally- but had we cooked meat or something I wouldn't have felt comfortable) -it smelled a tiny bit of smoke when we got there (it is a smoke free place but there are people in the condos who smoke- I didn't notice it after the first night so maybe it was a fluke. -Not the owners fault- There was a lot of tar on the beach that got on our feet and shoes- so keep your eye out

The Tiki property is beautifully landscaped, and extremely well maintained. There are two pools, plenty of "doggie" areas, and parking. Art Canales was a gracious host. The condo is extremely comfortable, and well decorated. There is a full kitchen with everything you need for cooking. The bedroom has a king size bed with plenty of fluffy pillows. Oh...and a TV, of course. There is a large walk in closet with plenty of storage, and a washing machine (coin laundry on property) I used the coin dryers ($2.50/one hr)and they were clean and dried my entire load in 30 min. I have stayed in several condos here on South Padre Island, and some were good, but none that I can say I would return to. I will be coming back here for sure. I had a wonderful & peaceful week. No need to look anywhere else. Thanks to the Canales's for being great hosts.

Lovely condo.. I rented two condos at the tiki for our family trip.. 2 of my grandchildren and myself were very comfortable in this condo. Loveseat turned into bed and huge king size bed in bedroom. Few items needed attention and I advised owner. Beautiful condo.

Unit even more spectacular than the photos showed! Art was very prompt, patient & professional in his responses to my inquiries. We extended our trip one more day and needed a place to stay. The unit we were staying, at another property, was horrible and we did not want to pay another cent over there. Searched VRBO for another vacancy elsewhere and we saw this unit. Check in is at 4pm, but knowing that we checked out of the previous unit at 10am, and we were without a place with a car packed with travel gear, Art extended the courtesy of allowing us to check in much, much earlier. Place was impeccable and beautiful! Property owner demonstrated excellent customer service skills! This will now become our place to rent at SPI when it’s just two of us traveling down there! Our one night stay was A++++++++++++++++ Thanks Art!

The grounds were immaculate, the condo was very clean and just an all around good experience. Art was very responsive with any questions I had prior to our stay. I highly recommend #109 at the Tiki. You will love it!

Very clean and cozy. Very close to the beach but not on it like the picture shows. Was allowed in before check in which was great. Only a couple complaints. The furniture is very sparse and what is there is very uncomfortable. Although the space is limited, it could have a smaller dining table to allow for a couch or love seat. Also, shower was not great as it is an overhead rain type shower head that is pretty strong. It will sleep three, but heaven help the unlucky soul that gets to sleep on the pull out. Their spine will never forgive them. Happy with location and price and the host was great. Would recommend.

We were there for a cheer competition. It was close to the convention center and the turtle place. The beach was just on the other side of the condo. Check out the dolphins cruise while you are there. Great spot away from the busy part of the strip.

The condo was very clean and had everything we needed from kitchen appliances to extra beach gear we were able to borrow. The condo isn't right on the beach (more towards the front office) but still a very easy walk of maybe 100 yards. The entire resort is very well taken care of with 2 clean pools. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had about the property. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Proximity to beach and pool was on point!

The location is perfect. Unit was located by pool and just a short walk to ocean. The King bed was very nice and slept well. Most everything you need is provided in the kitchen. The place was very clean and fresh smelling. The grounds around the swimming pool are well manicured. We were very happy with our stay.

We arrived after hours due to accidents on the way. Once we got past the ambulance and fire truck we were able to locate the unit. The lock code was easy to access, the room was cute and spacious for a 1 bedroom. It had everything we needed in it except for a dryer for clothes. There was one on site for community use. The beach access was super easy! A short walk to it and boom, you’re there! The local restaurants were amazing except for Señor Donkeys. That was gross and customer service was blah! I speak Spanish, but many do not. Cafe Karma, Blackbeard’s, Josephine’s, Bar Louie’s were just a few places that we ate at. Dolce Roma has the best Gelato around! The Tiki condos are super safe as they have security that patrols the area around the clock. Thank you for a great time! If we’re ever in town again, we will stay here! Adele & Michael Ramey

Condo was as described and pictured, nice, modern and clean. Exactly what we needed for our group of four. Clayton's, Bar Louie, and the Starbucks in the Hilton are all within easy walking distance with the birding center right across the road. It was also nice to have beach chairs and umbrella in the unit for use as well as boogie boards. Our only small issue, and it is not a complaint at all, is that there are two air mattresses for use but both have leaks and are flat by morning. We would stay here again for sure!

Overall great. Clean, easy to find, right by beach-just 2 or 3 buildings between the unit and the beach. Although the unit is right by the pool, the noise did not carry at all-very quiet unit. Note that parking is a couple buildings away, but not really an issue except for check-in and out, we found the luggage carts for checkout. Unit could use a couple things to increase comfort and convenience such as towel racks/bars/hooks in the bathroom, less friendly shower curtain, more than 1 roll of toilet paper, and working light bulbs over kitchen island.

We enjoyed the condo and have always enjoyed the Tiki property. The condo was lovely, clean and the location of the condo was perfect. The pull out chair and a half was a little springy and the bedroom mattress was a little bit firmer than I would like but I understand that it is built to last. Some of the bathroom fixtures were loose. Use and empty the dehumidifier, it works and makes all the difference in the world!

I would recommend this property. The owner was very responsive to any questions and addressed minor issues quickly (we couldn't find beach chairs and he purchased some and delivered them quickly). Very short walk to beach through complex which was great because we had our two small dogs with us. Enjoyed our stay - very comfortable and convenient!

We were happy with the accommodations and "the tiki" property. The only negative on the inside was only having a small love seat to sit on if we wanted to watch TV (which we didn't because it was so nice out). It would have been helpful to hear from the owner shortly before and after we arrived. Heard nothing.

My only draw back was not with the condo but with all the dogs that were left in the condos while their parents were off enjoying the sun and beach. A few days it was barking nonstop.

Full kitchen was great, loved the shower, and bedroom was comfy. However, lost Wi-Fi on bedroom TV on last night. Living room only had one small chair and oversized chair to sit on. Not very comfortable for watching a movie. Loved the close walk to the beach.

Loved the proximity to the beach! We had all the amenities from home. Great place to stay for a relaxing time away from home.

The condo is beautiful and it's right in front of the pool which was very convenient. Across the street is Sea Turtle, Inc which was a great activity for our 9 and 3 year olds.

Condo had been recently updated. Loved the decor. Few steps to the beach. We hope to go back soon. Owner answered any questions quickly. Couldn’t have been better! no complaints from us.
