It was a bit warm in the bedrooms due to the heatwave and we couldn’t open the windows but there were fans to use so wasn’t too bad

was a great property for a family stay. easily accessible with three young children (5,6,7). stairs weren’t a problem. kitchen was perfectly set up with all necessities.

We had such a great stay at The Tansy House. It is in a perfect location, just outside of York’s walls, and was easily walkable to the city centre. Having a free parking pass was amazing, and the car park was so close too. We stayed as a group of 8 so used the cinema room as a bedroom, but this was still comfortable and we felt like we had enough room for all of us. Daisy was great and gave loads of communication beforehand, and was contactable throughout if we needed anything. The kitchen was really well stocked and perfect for making meals for a group of people. I would definitely stay again!

Beautiful and warm house with lots of lovely welcoming touches. Really clear and helpful pre arrival instructions. The layout is very well done, with the large kitchen table for eating and socialising at the front (noisier from the road) part of the house and the basement cinema room providing comfortable seating in a quieter spot. 2 of the 3 large bedrooms are at the back of the house and away from any road noise. The location was great and once the car was safely parked (for free, thanks to the parking permit provided) we didn't need to use it at all. Some family members arrived by train. It's around a 5 minute walk to the rail station, so they could make their own way to the house without need for lifts or taxis. I expected to hear lots of train noise, but didn't hear any. Everything was fantastic, would definitely stay here again if we had another family get together in York.

The location was ideal, it was easy to find and very useful with having car parking nearby. The cinema room was great and the little touches on arrival helped make a great stay.

The front door could either be replaced or have a thick curtain to help with the draft, its minor really but to help not lose heat in the colder months when we stayed. That being said its not a cold house just when you walk near the front door.

Absolutely fab house. Large dining kitchen, 3 big rooms. Excellent cinema room, clean with lots of facilities. Excellent communication from the hosts. Would definitly return. :-)

Didn't bother me but others would have loved a bath.

Nice House, Clean, some road noise but to be expected due to being close to the centre of York. Plenty of eateries near by. Good communication, parking provided for one vehicle there was 8 of us we had two cars, luckily car park not too far away but expensive for second car. Overall Nice place, kids loved the cinema room and games provided. There are some nice little personal touches provided too. Thanks for having us. We would stay again.

Could of done with thicker pillows, Free Parking for a second car would of really helped but to be fair the owners did say they only had parking for one vehicle.

We absolutely LOVED Tansy House. The nicest booking.home house I have stayed in. Very clean, good room sizes, popcorn machine + cinema. Absolutely perfect, thank you!

Clean spacious fully equiped. Very friendly owners, perfect base to visit York. Can no praise this house enough. On first view appeared small but with 4 adults and 3 kids we had room, more Tardis than Tansy.
