The whole family enjoyed our stay in the Winchester house. The perfect spot for a family vacation, we spent most of our days on the volleyball/badminton court and in the pool. Enjoyed by all ages! Loved the large dining areas to allow everyone to eat together. Overall

We had all of our kids, their spouses, and our grandkids at this property for three nights! The pool was a hit with the grandkids, we loved the outdoor spaces for volleyball and badminton, the outside picnic table was perfect for our meals. Great kitchen with everything we needed to prep meals. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 25 people. Would definitely come back for another stay.

Our group consists of eight adults and seven kids ranging from 2mos to 10yo. The Winchester Guesthouse was a great fit for us. There are king bedrooms for all the adults and multiple rooms available for the kids to be close to parents or to have a cousin camp out in one of the other rooms. The house has numerous bathrooms to help get everyone ready in the morning. The grounds include badminton and volleyball counts and there is plenty of room for kickball or softball at the back of the lot. The owner Ted stays in an RV adjacent to the property and was readily available if we had questions or needed help with something. The pool and hot tub are well maintained and were a big hit with the family. Winchester, IN and the surrounding area has many tourist attractions and family activities. Do yourself a favor and check out this property when planning a large group outing.

My Group had a wonderful and memorable stay at the Winchester Guest house! Ted is an incredible host and was always quick to reply to any of my messages and checked in throughout the stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. The house is perfect for large Groups, The kitchen is fully stocked and there was plenty of towels/blankets etc. For the whole group. Pool and hot tub were awesome too! Plenty of stuff to do outside and great seating as well. Check in process was smooth and Check out process was perfectly reasonable given the size of the place.

The property was perfect for our birthday weekend of 16 adults. There was plenty of room for us, and the host, Ted, was spectacular with communicating. We loved the property as there was enough space for frisbee, croquet, even capture the flag if that’s more your speed. As the house itself you could play a killer game of hide and seek. The only negatives we could possibly give and it’s pressing to do such, the pool lights were not working but are scheduled to be fixed this fall as the pool has to be drained to do such, and the temp was a bit low for some, but those of us that run hot, the temp was perfect! There were some very minute issues with the house itself but we voiced them to Ted and they have most likely already been resolved. Overall 5 stars, would definitely book again

The property is very large. Every thing you need is there. Our family was quite happy. The beds were very comfortable. The pull out couches could use some memory foam or newer mattresses. We would definitely stay here again!

This home was what it advertised. Lots of room for our larrge extended family. Plenty of games and room to play them. The pool was wonderful. The host communicated clearly expectations and other information we needed.. would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

This was a wonderful house with plenty of space and room for people to gather. Adequate sleeping for the number of guests that were present. Plenty of bathrooms, extra towels and blankets. There were several big TV’s, but be aware that you have to use streaming services. Pool table, foosball table, shuffle board and darts on the lower level as well as a cupboard full of games makes sure you have plenty to do. The pool was amazing and big. The outside area was nice also with a hot tub, fire pit and a swing under the tree as well as a covered picnic area. Our group was very pleased.

The Winchester House was a great place for us to have our family reunion with 9 adults and 16 kids! The house was spacious, so we weren’t on top of each other. There was the pool which was great fun for the kids and the adults. The backyard is huge with some shade near the badminton and volleyball nets and equipment is provided and the very large, covered picnic table on the patio was great to have. We could almost fit all 25 of us at the dining room table with two little ones in booster seats off to the side, and the swing out front was a nice touch.
Ted was very responsive beforehand as we were planning our stay and when we needed more supplies while we were there. There were some routine repairs that we discovered, plus a few cleanliness issues and we made them known to him and since our stay, he has replaced the difficult sliding door off the kitchen to the patio. Also, it would be nice to have some places to dry bathing suits and pool towels with such a large group. We also made that suggestion to Ted for future guests. Overall, our stay was lovely!

26 of us were very comfortable in this spacious house. Plenty to do. The littles were worn out both nights and the adults were able to unwind and catch up. The theme of the weekend was stories of the relatives before us that had been passed down.
Ted was the most gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed.
Quiet country setting but anything you would ever need is within two miles. Huge yard was a plus and the pool was rarely unoccupied.
My wife said we would have to put on the list of return sites.

Was a little apprehensive when making the reservation that having 18 adults and 13 kids staying in a single house would cramp us for room for our family reunion, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The bedrooms worked out great for the families, although there were a couple noisy beds in some of the rooms. The kitchen was small but was adequately stocked with pans and utensils. Having two refrigerators available made it easy to store supplies for our large group. We had no problems preparing and eating all meals at the house for the week. The large dining room table and huge outdoor picnic table made it easy to seat everybody. When adults wanted to chat and hangout, we used the living room with the bay window or the dining room next to it or some of the outdoor seating. The firepit in the backyard was a bonus that we used several times. The indoor swimming pool kept the kids busy, day or night, when they weren’t playing games at the volleyball or badminton nets or in the field. There was plenty of room to get a game of soccer, football, or ultimate frisbee in the large grassy area next to the nets. When the kids tired of swimming or playing games outside, the games in the basement got used regularly. The hot tub was a good way to end the day.
Never left the house during our stay except to get supplies at the Wal-Mart about a mile away.
The host was great to work with and promptly addressed any concerns.

There isn't much to do in the small town of Winchester but we didn't need to go looking! There's plenty to do at this home from the team sitting in the hot tub discussing the state of the world to the old folks in the living room discussing the state of the world and the kids splashing in the pool we had a wonderful day

Plenty of room for our family reunion! We had dinner almost every night, and used the dining room so we could talk together. But the kitchen is a little small. Helpful to have a coffee maker and Keurig. Wish that the trash compactor worked.
It was kind of nice that the house had spaces away from each other. Ha! We used the small dining room and the living room with the bay window... When the adults wanted to chill and chat. (Every morning a little cardinal came to say hello !) The kids from age 5 to 16, absolutely love the inside pool! And it was perfect because we had about 2 days of raining.
It would be nice to take a look and replace mattresses, or add foam mattress pads to each.
Also, it was very helpful to have the Walmart right across the field! And if you're looking for a little diner... Mrs. Wick's was delicious!

We book a Vacation for our family which consists of 30 adults and 4 kids under 10 every year. It is hard to find a property that can hold us all. This place did that and more! The indoor pool was a big hit with the kids and adults. The outdoor space was great! Loved the massive covered picnic table! And if you need anything, Walmart is a quick drive. Ted was a great host, very responsive to all our questions.

An absolutely amazing property that was perfect for our large family gathering. The pool was huge and the highlight for us (especially the kids) and made us never want to leave the house. I don’t think we’ve ever had a family get together where the house was more perfect. The dining table is huge and can hold close to 20 people. It’s little things like that really enhance a large groups experience. Usually when we eat at different rentals there are people at an island, people at the table, people in the living room sitting on the couch etc. Here we all sat at the table together. Even though a rental may be advertised as a 15-20 person house, some part of the house is really only good for 6-8 people. This house is truly good for 20-30 people in every possible way. The host is very accommodating and helpful. An overall great experience.

Can openers in kitchen didn't work the greatest and the grill was extremely dirty, but we were able to work with what we had. Appreciated the extra heaters in rooms when dealing with the negative temps outside. Overall a great place, especially with a large group.

This place was the perfect spot for our staff team retreat. There was more than enough room to accommodate several families, some with small children. Amazing people to work with and communication was very easy. Enjoyed our stay very much from indoor pool to game activities and sitting around the camp fire. Perfect place for our family reunion
The house was great. So much space, a huge table, and the kids really enjoyed the pool! We just enjoy being together so we didn’t need a lot of activities outside of the house, though we did go for ice cream and some went golfing. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
