Beautiful homestay outside of the chaotic and fake city of sapa. With Surelee and her family we felt in a peaceful piece of paradise in the middle of nature. Awesome food completes the magic of this place. Highly recommended!

The location of this homestay was wonderful - the surrounding area was so beautiful and picturesque. The staff can arrange different levels of trekking for you and I really enjoyed the Y Lin Ho trek, which I would describe as moderate (in difficulty). Communication with staff was excellent from the moment I booked, and my experience of them only got better. I felt welcome on arrival and was given all the information I needed. The main host usually has a sister to share duties with but was without her for my stay. She, and the rest of the family, worked so hard to make sure everyone had what they needed. The homestay had a great social space and I got to know other travellers very easily. My room was very comfortable. It was a great size and the whole place, including the shared bathrooms, was clean at all times. The first day and night, we had mild and sunny weather but the second day was very different. The property can feel extremely cold upstairs at night. The blankets are very thick and warm, and the host was very kind to provide an extra one so it's fine once your in bed, but otherwise would recommend having a hat, scarf, gloves and thermal base-layers. Also, if you can get a room on the ground floor when you book, this will be warmer. Either way, tolerating a bit of cold is expected and is worth it for the very experience of a Sapa homestay.

We loved this homestay, it was so cute and the view from outside was beautiful - among the mountains and rice paddies. You could organise treks directly from the property and they offered other services such as laundry, taxis etc. It is one of the best value places we have ever stayed in.

There is no soundproofing so you can hear your neighbours talking, moving etc and dogs barking all night. Wasn't much of an issue as everyone was respectful and quiet at night but I would recommend ear plugs.

Grandiose Lage außerhalb von Sapa (ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Taxi oder Roller), tolle Aussicht und extrem bemühte Gastgeberinnen. Wir haben andere nette Reisende kennengelernt, zb beim Family Dinner (traditionelle Gerichte, fast komplett vegetarisch, zum teilen -> absolute Empfehlung). Man kann geführte Trekking Touren und auch Motorroller vor Ort buchen. Sie organisieren einem auch Taxis und unterstützen bei allen Fragen und Wünschen. Die Lage ist sehr idyllisch und es gibt viele Tiere vor Ort (Hunde, Hühner, Enten und eine Menge Küken). Top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, da auch das Frühstück im Preis inkludiert ist.

Uns hat es dort super gefallen, wenn man irgendwas kritisieren wollen würde, dann wäre es super, wenn es mehr bequeme Sitzmöglichkeiten geben würde (es gibt keine Liegen oder irgendwas zum „rumlungern“ im Aufenthaltsbereich) und die Matratze in unserem Zimmer war etwas dünn bzw hart. Achtung: vor Ort ist nur Barzahlung möglich.

We arrived to the homestay and straight away knew this was the best choice. The homestay overlooks the rice fields and Linda is very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and the homestay in general was pleasant. The food is delicious! Our tour guide Shosho made our trip even better, taking us to two different trekking routes the two days we stayed.

The homestay is a bit loud during the night so if you’re not a good sleeper like us you will struggle!

I didn't have any trouble getting to and from here. The location is far, but I expected this when booking my room, and the host helped me book a taxi out. I signed up for a trek through the homestay and really enjoyed it - it was definitely a unique experience and my guide helped me through the toughest parts of it. A multigenerational family lives here and they're fun to chat to. I totally recommend the family dinner, it was delicious and a great way to get to know the other guests. Overall I had an amazing time here - just know that it is a homestay!

The rooms aren't fully walled off, so you can hear everything. There isn't any insulation, so the temperature inside was the same as outside - I saw my breath in my room on the coldest days. The hot water runs out sometimes so I recommend waiting a while before taking a shower after the previous person.

Access is a bit difficult so bear that in mind if you are arriving at night

- the host and her family are so sweet and try to make the stay as good as possible - the family dinner was amazing - they have a lot of activities (even for rainy weather)

- if it is cold, there is only fire in the common area and the rooms stay cold

La famille qui tiens l’hôtel est adorable. Les petits enfants sont juste trop mignons. Les lits sont très confortables. La nourriture est délicieuse. Et la vue est incroyablement belle. Nous avons même eu des petits bracelets en guise de cadeau de départ. Nous avons passé un super séjour. Merci encore à eux.

El sitio en general es maravilloso. Si estás buscando salir del ruido del centro y estar en contacto con la naturaleza y las personas locales es tu sitio ideal. El personal es muy agradable y siempre ayudan en todo. La comida casera, buena y barata. Volvería a repetir sin duda 100x100 recomendado. Lugar con encanto!

Nada, todo perfecto.

El sitio es muy original, está situado en medio de una mini carretera que atraviesa el hostal por el medio. Es decir pasan motos y personas ya que está en medio de su camino entré los campos de arroz. Muy bonito. Y el personal es maravilloso.

La ubicación está un tanto alejado del poblado central se sapa, a unos 12 km, por cual si no tienes moto alquilada o en que moverte estás bastante aislado de todo. Si eres de ésos que les gusta caminar y hacer trekking quizás os guste. Pero el camino son 12 km de cuesta arriba.

Être chez l’habitant, avoir les randonnées à côté et le petit déjeuner et le repas familiale qui était très bon. La chambre est propre par contre si vous y aller en période d’hiver, sachez qu’il fait froid ! Penser à vous couvrir

Accueil très sympa par contre tout est payant (bottes qui ne seront pas à votre taille pour la randonnée boueuse en hiver), les boissons du petit déjeuner.

Nádherné místo, Surelee i ostatní personal byl velmi milý a nápomocný. Hezké pokoje se společným balkonem. Zajistili nám trek s hmongskou dívkou. Velmi jsme si pobyt užili a určitě se někdy vrátíme.

Koupelna byla v přízemí a pouze 2 sprchy/záchody pro všechny. V pokoji bylo slyšet naprosto vše, pokud se někdo bavil dole v restauraci, tak to bylo slyšet jako kdyby byl vedle vás.

We had an amazing stay at Surelee’s!! She is so welcoming and friendly. The family dinner was delicious and we enjoyed our guided trek. She even went to special effort to cook an early breakfast at 6:30 for us before our taxi and gave us free bracelets. Thank you so much 😃

The room was on the small side but still comfortable.

We enjoyed staying with Surelee and her family. A local authentic experience where the children are playing while the adults are cooking and helping the guests. Great service and the best food we had in Northern Vietnam!

It was a bit difficult to reach the homestay with luggage, so a backpack is recommend. We arrived in January and it was cold with no heat in the house. However, you can take a warm shower and the thick blanket will keep you warm.

It had a lovely view and bed was comfortable

Very noisy and cold in the room. I arrived at early hours of the morning which I was told was no problem and to just knock on the door but I was waiting outside knocking for ages and when the lady opened she was visibly annoyed and pressured my to book a hike for the next day right then and there (at3am). I told her I’m very tired and will think about it in the morning. I didn’t feel welcome so I left as soon as soon as I could.

Sehr schön gelegen mit super Aussicht, leider war es während unseres Aufenthalts im Dezember sehr nebelig. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Es war in der Nacht etwas kalt (Dezember), außerdem waren die Zimmer ziemlich hellhörig, also dicke Kleidung und Ohropax nicht vergessen denn das sollte einem nicht daran hindern, hier unterzukommen.

Pięknie położony domek przy polach ryżowych, świetna obsługa i smaczne domowe dania oraz regionalne wino. Pokoje czyste, nie było też problemu z dostępem do łazienki. Byliśmy bardzo zadowoleni :)
