Host was great and very helpful, the location was fantastic, easy walk to DC metro and dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops. Beautifully decorated and made us feel like locals! Would love to stay there again if I'm in the area.

This place had everything we needed for our short getaway: great location, fully loaded with extras, and it super clean. Steps from King St and easy walking distance for everything. David was an excellent host, he was just a call, email or text away and replied promptly. Alexandria and David's place are both definitely on our return visit list, we deserve it!

Very stylish loft in Old Towne convenient to King Street. Ideal for walking and exploring Old Towne, convenient to metro and great restaurants. Owner was responsive to all my inquiries. I will definitely stay there again when visiting the Washington DC metro area.

We stayed here over our wedding weekend and it was fabulous! Very calm, beautifully decorated, and well kept. David was incredibly responsive and communicative, which made for an amazing weekend. Could not recommend more!

We hope to be back! This location was perfect. The host had the house set up to meet any need we had. The bed was amazing, too! The location was great for hoping on the metro quickly and easy for Uber pick up.

We LOVED our stay here! It was so clean and well stocked with everything you could need during a stay. The parking was also a plus and worth paying for bc it was separately gated off. There is so much to walk to so quickly! Noise was not a problem even though there are bars across the street and white noise/earplugs were provided (didnt end up needing them). We had a small issue and our host came over to come fix it within a couple hours on a holiday! So lovely and will definitely be back!

I spent a long weekend recently in Alexandria and I have to say how great this place is. Perfect location for just about everything, even going into DC. Perfect for one person or two. Highly recommend this place!

On arrival we were concerned about location. Turned out location was fine, but it was very loud late into the night and I am a light sleeper. I could hear yelling and music despite ear plugs and a pillow over my head.

David's loft is absolutely gorgeous and the bedroom feels very serene. Its location is even more gorgeous and feels like an English town! David is an incredible host always looking out for his guest's comfort. He even provided make up remover wipes- which I have not even been given sometimes in 5star stays- so very impressed with his attention to detailing for his guests. we will def be sating at his place only on our next trip to alexandria.

Thank you for such a lovely place. It was exactly what I expected and in the place I expected it to be. I think it would be ideal for honeymooners and couples who are looking to escape for a bit and enjoy Old Town Alexandria - everything is within walking distance.

A lovely location right in Old Town Alexandria. Steps away from shopping, restaurants and coffee shops. An easy Uber ride to the DCA airport and Washington DC.

This was a great little place and perfect for our getaway anniversary weekend. We could rapidly walk to all the Alexandria destinations and enjoyed many of the shops and restaurants. On the weekend, there was a fair amount of noise from the bar across the street but it didn’t really bother us too much, just something good to know about if you are a very light sleeper.
The home is small overall but we found the upstairs left bedroom to be spacious and comfortable. Everything is clean and well taken care of.
David was helpful both before and during our stay (even FaceTiming with me to help us get the TV set up to watch the World Series.). The available parking spot is conveniently close and easy to access.

The owner was responsive and attentive to anything we needed. The place is great, all the little details were outstanding! Location was great and within walking distance to endless shops and restaurants. We love the old world charm of Alexandria and this house did disappoint! Highly recommend it!

Property owner has outstanding communication. Location is great- easy walk to the Metro station and tons of restaurants and shops! Does get a bit noisy at night due to that great location, but the rest of my family slept right through it. ;) There was not a TV in the main living area- just a very nice one upstairs in the bedroom. It would be nice to have one in the kitchen/living area downstairs as well. Overall an adorable property with tons of character.

Will Stay Here again!
Everything was as described, but then you walk in and the little things, that you forget or don't think about are there. David is the epitome of host and goes above and beyond to make sure his guest have an incredible stay. We will be staying there again and have already shared it with several other couples.

Wonderful stay, immaculate accomadation and great communication with David
This was the third time of trying to stay in the accommodation at Alexandria due to COVID-19 and being unable to travel to the US from the U.K.
Wow it was so worth the wait all that we hoped for and more! The accommodation is delightful and the location is great for walking into Alexandria and great metro links to Washington.
David’s communication throughout the booking process was faultless, and he was so responsive. We were aware that David was out of town when we were due to arrive and he arranged for a friend to meet us at the property and show us around, we were also greeted with flowers such a lovely welcome.
We know whoever chooses to stay here will not be disappointed only delighted.

Beautiful loft
Photos don’t do this place justice…this loft was beautifully renovated and walkable to everything in Old Town. We loved our stay. The bar across the street definitely gets noisy, so keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper but the host provides ear plugs. David was incredibly responsive and the entire process was a breeze…can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely Perfect
We LOVED this place. BEST location ever! So close to everything that King Street has so offer. The host is amazing. Perfect communication. The optional parking spot is great!
The house has everything. The host made it so easy. From makeup remover wipes, toothbrushes, light switches labeled, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, loaded kitchen, etc. The list goes on and on. Super comfortable bed. The place Is decorated wonderfully! Love that he shares the history of the building and so many personal touches in the place.
I will absolutely stay here again in the future! I had to leave early because my mom had a medical event which left me flying out of the airport a day early and my husband staying the rest of the weekend by himself. Even with all of that we still had a great experience!!

Yes, we could hear cars pulling up out front and people talking outside as they were coming/going, but that’s to be expected when staying in any city. To be honest for it being so populated with people, bars and restaurants it was actually really quiet.
David was an amazing host. Reaching out to ensure checkin went smoothly and touching base the day before our departure. He was very attentive.
A home we would love to visit again.

There was one evening there was noise from the establishment across the street. However, my husband put in a pair of ear plugs and was off to dreamland. I made use of the white noise machine and didn't hear a thing (I've also ordered one to have at my home).
The neighborhood is walkable with lots of restaurants to choose from as well as fun and eclectic stores and boutiques. The location to the district can't be beat. We made use of the parking spot available and drove in to DC. It worked out tremendously.
Again, so many thoughtful extra considerations. You won't go wrong with this rental!

What a wonderful retreat in a quaint little town. The perfect getaway. Close to everything! After a leisurely stroll along King Street, dining and shopping to your hearts content, the loft awaits you with all the little touches that make you feel at home. David was friendly, accessible, and a gracious host throughout. We would recommend the loft without hesitation. Thank you, David, for all you’ve done to create this special space.
