We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the food was! It’s not like your usual all inclusive with mainly processed food. There were 4/5 freshly served dishes every lunch and dinner with a good variety through the week. The entertainment staff were lovely especially the 2 young girls, they were the life of the party each day haha. The entertainment on a whole was okay but the nighttime entertainment was mainly kids stuff and the adults got a bit from 10pm - 11pm. When it hits 11pm the place goes absolutely dead, everyone disappears and kick out is at 11:45pm. The all inclusive drinks menu is well enough to keep you going through the week. There are about 20 different spirits and liqueurs to pick from and 6 cocktails. Also, the all inclusive beer is not a local it’s Amstel which was a plus! The 2 pools were perfect sized for the hotel and never overcrowded. The hotel is about €12 in a taxi from the Airport - very close. Also, just for reassurance to anyone booking, our apartment looked exactly like the pictures and had an iron + hairdryer. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel but was heavily let down by the way staff disregarded any issues we had. We’re not sure if this is because we are a young couple and they treated us differently. All the younger staff on the premises were very polite and good at their job but some of the older staff just seemed really impatient with tourists.

We had our bag stolen in the restaurant and all the staff we told (even the reception staff) absolutely disregarded us, some even just shrugged their shoulders. The reception staff pretended he couldn’t understand our issue even though he previously spoken good English so we had to use Google translate. There was 0 effort made to see if the bag had been handed in and this whole situation made us feel really unsafe that they didn’t seem to care or even have any CCTV cameras to check who had stolen it. We were also concerned there was no incident or log book to report the incident. Another thing, It states the Gym is open 8am - 12 midday. However, on 3 occasions I went there around 10am and the place was completely closed and when I asked nearby staff what time it’s open, again, they completely disregarded me and just said they don’t know and shrugged their shoulders. The reception staff tried to help but it just seemed like the Gym is poorly managed and never opened.

although a little bit away from the Main Street, there are restaurants, bars and shops close by which is perfect. Loads of space around the pool area

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of food and drinks. Generous all inclusive. amazing location that is not far from the beach and very close to the airport. Clean and great housekeeping. I really enjoyed swimming at the pools.

It is a great place to have a peaceful holiday. There are sports facilities, 2 pools, one of which has no music and is very pleasant to relax. Although there are evening shows, they are not too loud and don't last until late. 5 min beautiful walk to the beach.

The food could have been a little better, but perhaps getting fresh produce on an island is not simple. Some actual fresh juice and good coffee would help the breakfast experience.

Both pools are heated. Upper one is warmer (suitable for kids/play), lower one is less warm and has some sea water (suitable for swimming). Short way to the beach (500m) - some steps though. Decent food and drinks (All Inclusive). Great animation team. Free paddle courts and equipment. There were always some free sun loungers. Lots of parking spots nearby. Matagorda is a nice, quiet neighbourhood (compared to Playa del Carmen). Not counting starting/landing planes which are some sort of attraction.

Gym besides being paid extra is obscure. Should be closed or renovated with decent equipment. Ping-pong table also needs replacement. A lot of thing are extra paid (towels, gym, internet). Coffee made from powder (can order nice coffee at the bar though).

Cleaning was superficial. It was supposed to be 5 times a week, but we had it only twice in 7 days. When a kitchenette is announced, we expected an oven or at lease a microwave. Without that you can barely consider the place as self-catering. Absence of air conditioning was not a problem for the season (December). But it must be a major problem in summer.

Food is good. We found the biggest choice was at lunchtime. Breakfast really good with wide choice. Comfortable bed and really clean. Entertainment was pretty good for "out of season" This is the third time we've stayed, the Last time was back in 2019. We would consider staying here again, as you can't beat it for value for money 👍

Apartment was great. Liked the shower. Like that it wasn't a far walk from matagorda. Not too far from the sea and the centre down the hill. Not far from the taxi rank around the corner from the complex. Pool was great. I think there was 2 pools but only used one I didnt look for second one. Had an iron hob and fridge and tv I didnt watch TV never do on holidays s I don't know re channels etc. Usually read books. Reception and cleaning staff were very good. Had music and bar in complex. I had breakfast every morning but didn't eat any more meals as i like eating in different restaurants. I would stay again there.

Over night it can get very hot in the rooms. I left the doors open but not the window in bedroom. Maybe a fan Would be an option.

In a good location, close to Airport, €10 to €12 in a taxi, €4 to €5 to Peurto del Carmen..

Air con would be good but with temperatures up to 25, the apartment was ok, linen could of been changed, we stayed for 5 nights, no linen change

Only thing the Morramar is missing is air conditioning. Would make the stay 10/10 if apartments had air conditioning

Plastic cups around pool area. Although I do understand it makes sense for safety reasons.
