Definitely not a 5 Star experience. I stayed in the Spa Suite room called Oak. The room cost £423. It had No Air Conditioning. The room is above the Pool/Spa area, as you could really feel the heat, it was way too hot, with only a basic Fan I had to take out the wardroom. No bottles of water in the room, or a Fridge. I asked for an ice Bucket to take to the room, but reception told me they had no ice, as the machine was broken. The mattress is two singles pushed together, it dips in the middle and you can really feel the springs, it definitely needs replacing. Due to the old mattress and the hard Springs, along with the heat with no Air Conditioning, I didn’t sleep well at all. I phoned reception in the morning to ask for late checkout at 12, and was told “ No, someone had paid for early check in at 12, so I had to be out by 11”. I told reception I wasn’t happy with my stay, and would be leaving a 1 star review. She didn’t even ask why, just said sorry. I wish I booked the Holiday Inn down the road, much better service, better beds, they have Ice and you can check out at 12 like most decent hotels. Avoid.

we paid extra for a king size room and it was two beds pushed together! i think for the price your paying and the sort of hotel it is you shouldn’t be selling rooms that have two beds pushed together with separate mattresses

The staff were outstanding. There was nothing that they would not help you with. I really can’t rate it highly enough.
