I liked the size of the apartment and was nice and tidy.

I didn't like that the apartment door didn't shut properly. Twice we left the premises and both times came back to the door open.

Good price. Spacious room. Nice staff. Electric blanket was handy.

Needs updating. Stain patch on the couch. No aircon and heater wasnt going for some reason. TV reception wasn't the best.

Location was great, close enough to town (by car) that it felt like we were right there but, far enough away that it felt private and secluded. The room was massive, very very spacious - both the living area and bathroom were huge. WIFI was free and worked great.

Room was dirty, the couch was visibly so disgusting that we didn't so sit on it for the duration of our stay. There was a small (but noticeable) blood stain on the duvet cover when we arrived. Online we were lead to believe it was fully serviced each day but all this entailed was a stack of clean towels being placed on the dirty couch while we were out. There was no dishwashing liquid provided and dishes were not cleaned or taken away so I question how clean the plates and cutlery were before we used them. Very minor but the tea/coffee was not replaced either.

Wifi setup didn’t work. Door to one of our rooms didn’t lock properly and could be opened from the outside with minimal effort.

The bed was comfortable

It was not very clean. Grime on door sills. Oven not very clean. When we arrived office was unattended although it was 8.30 pm and states open til 10 pm. The lady said the funds had been declined although there was funds available in our bank account. Spa pool was merky so uninviting.

Bad wifi very poor tv reception leaving dirty towels in bathroom lack of room service. Also cockroachs in the room.

I was given a refund for our last night after demanding one it was hesitantly given.

The place was over grown and driveway full of pot holes no safety around driveway. I gave the staff a chance to rectify the problems mouldy shower curtain and windows curtains, dusty furniture and they replaced shower curtain with a washed mould stained shower curtain they had just sprayed other window curtains with bleach and they didn’t bother to wipe up any dust. They really need to improve standards here. The place just made me crawl.

The timing of the spa pool cause we had to wait for our turn to use it same with the pool also no switches in the room to plug in the fan cause we were hot so had to run the power through the 4way switch just to plug in the fan to cool down

I don't try the pool because I caught but it was very much attractive. I like the spa. The room was confortable. The manager and the employees were helped and friendly.

Location was good, cleaners are lovely. And the game room my son loved it. And the beds were comfortable.

Couch furniture could do with a clean. Gaming room wasn't shut by 10pm and was super noisy specially when those are family rooms above it! Also the pool could do with a really good clean and it would of been nice to have a working spa.

Location is okay if you want to be removed from the town.

The grounds were in need of a good tidy and refresh. We chose this location as it had a pool, trampoline and playground for the kids, however the playground was overgrown with weeds, trampoline was broken and the pool area wasn't presented nicely - its the first impression driving in and it did not look appealing at first glance. The welcome on check-in was presented like we were interrupting her day. If you intend on staying hydrated - take your own as the water as the room water was undrinkable.

Management unhelpful. Fixtures & furniture were in poor condition ie. stove top, fridge, couch. damage to property, walls, door handles. Thermostat on hot plates in operative - full on or full off - fire hazard. pool not clean, nor safely accessible due to broken step. was told on day one it would b fixed tomorrow, not fixed after an 8 day stay. Did not observe any cleaning or results of cleaning pool. Drive way very large pot holes & lots of weeds.

Good location, 10 minute walk to town

Dirty rooms, mould on the curtains, spiders/webs and creatures throughout. Very dated interior with damage on terribly uncomfortable ‘sofa’.

the room we had was not nice. there is black mould on the ceiling and the rooms need a major overhaul. All cupboards were peeling and looked rotted from the floor. The stove was cruddy. The tap would not stop leaking which I found so strange that they would not fix something like that. So you had to be super human to turn it off. The tv did not work properly so we couldn’t relax at the end of the day to watch anything. The cupboards smelt musky. One of the days the cleaners never made it to the toilet area so did not empty our bins or give us extra toilet paper. Given that there is 5 of us we desperately needed these amenities. We waited prior to dinner buzzing the reception and no one came so had to leave a note so we could go out. A lovely family gave up one of their toilet rolls for us so my kids could actually go to the toilet. The Bay of Islands was amazing but we would never stay at Aloha again if we returned. I’m sure the people running it are not terrible but they had neglected what could be a great motel. However this is not a resort

our room was assessable to the room next door and visa versa (staff gave us door stops so next door could not get in) it states on the information that they don’t have sky but you can access Netflix etc, no you cannot because the internet is rubbish. all the furniture is dated. the fridge had not been cleaned or defrosted since the day it was plugged in. we asked to see the manager and we’re told he was not there, he turned up within minutes after we said we wanted a refund. We are disappointed with booking.com who advertise this motel on there site, having stayed in 9 other hotels over the last 8 weeks across NZ all booked through booking.com this was absolutely appalling.
