Really enjoyed the chai black rice pudding. Because it was Easter stayed close to home for meals including breakfast. Very handy location to experience the Huon Valley

Whilst this property is an older hotel, the staff and service were second to none. we can,t more highly of the service we received.

not a criticism - the duvet was too thick for the summer temperature, would have been fantastic in winter for snuggling under but a bit hot for Jan.

The Continental breakfast was delicious, especially the fruit compote. Dinner was excellent - especially the steak! The decor in the dining room and the breakfast room was very nice, and the dinner menu had many choices. We were also impressed with the friendly and helpful staff.

Big sized room and very clean. Excellent location to explore area and air walk. Lovely breakfast and easy parking space.

Thinness shower screen ever seen, very tricky to not get water everywhere after use. Great breakfast but not convenient eating at the coffee lounge rather than dining table. Shame about smoking area in front of room, shared balcony can’t be used when next door guests are smoking and all doors and windows had to be closed.

Everything was great.

The hotel was located in very scenic location and the staff were helpful and courteous. The restaurant food was good. Parking was plenty. Food was was reasonably priced.

The complimentary breakfast that came with the room was very basic. We were expecting a bit more and we had to keep asking the staff to top up items as it seemed to be finishing quite quickly given there was so little for so many guests. Some of the plates were also very dirty, the staff need to review the plates that come out of their dishwasher. We stayed in the Heritage hotel side and while it meets expectations, given it was summer there was no fan or A/c in the room and it was very warm on the first day of stay given it was very warm day in Hobart that day. The cupboard in the room was musty and you could not keep your clothes in it otherwise your clothes will soon smell the same. The Toilet shower handle kept coming off, thankfully my son's skills allowed us to use it with a bit of fix. The bed mattress seems very old and tired and the some of sheets on it looked like they were not washed. So hygiene was a let down.

Wow. First of all it wasn’t the plan to book this property because it was far from where we were. Anyway, after discussion with the owner we decided to come and it was the best bet. Really good place, cozy and the scenery is really nice around the fire to get warmer Good rooms and kitchen, we had an awesome dinner.

The steps can be tricky if you not stay aware

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The two-bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The dinner menu was extensive and the quality of the food was excellent. Continental breakfast was included in the price; it included tea and brewed coffee but barista-made coffee was extra. We loved the atmosphere of the bar and the Huon Lounge and overall had a very comfortable stay.

The hotel had a wonderful charm to it. We really enjoyed reading in the sitting/common room. The complimentary breakfast was great. The family room for our children was spacious and very comfortable. The meals were good.

We also booked a budget room which unfortunately was so small that we kept tripping over our luggage. In addition, the budget room had a double bed, rather than a Queen size bed, which felt too small as the bed was a little too firm for us so we both tossed and turned a lot during the night.

Everything, the hotel was absolutely beautiful, food great and the staff were so good, friendly, helpful and whatever you needed they helped.

What a great spot! Minutes from Franklin and Huonville, the staff were exceptional. Very comfortable room. First night we had a drink downstairs and watched all the food come out to the other tables. Talk about food envy! Second night we ate in the bar and we were not disappointed at all! Such great food, if we lived nearby it would be our local! We'll happily stay again.

Great location and view overlooking the river. We enjoyed a glass of red in the bar before bed with a short walk in the same complex to accommodation. Friendly staff and service provided - thank you!

The room was reasonable quiet and well appointed for the small area. It was clean and comfortable with friendly accommodating staff and a fantastic common room with kitchenette for guest use. I was able to have dinner (served) in the common room overlooking the port.

The room was smaller than expected but was great for a night or two.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, breakfasts were varied and substantial, and the view was great.

our visit to Port Huon was primarily for close proximity to Hastings Caves and Thermal pool and Adventure Sky Walk and Swing Bridge at Geeveston. Both attractions are well worth the visit and highly recommended. Our bonus visit was to Southport at the bottom of Tasmania looking out to the Great Southern ocean, about 10 minutes from Hastings caves

Staff was very friendly, and Wade greeted us and showed us around the hotel and to our room ,made to feel at home.

Should have had tea and coffee facilities in room would have been nice

Great place all round. A bit of a gem really. My heritage room was clean and comfy, nice lounge areas for guests. Shared kitchenette for making drinks - tea and coffee provided. Breakfast included with a brekky pack provided if leaving before serving time.
