We had an amazing experience at Eternal Flame. The breakfast changed each day, but was delicious every morning. The staff, including Nao-san and his wife, went above and beyond to make our stay a truly special experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one of the nights, and this was also fantastic and the days' menu well thought-out.

11/10! Look no further. We had a great experience at the Eternal Flame, where hospitality has reached its new level in already customer-friendly Japan. We felt welcomed by Nao, his wife Kimi and the team thinking always one step ahead of our requirements. Pre-arrival: We clarified pick-up from the Hakuba bus stop as well as receiving our pre-sent baggage including a snowboard bag from Kansai airport via Yamato to the hotel. Arrival: We were picked up on time by Kimi and check-in was swiftly done. 30 min after check-in we were taken to Rainbow ski rental receiving an additional discount as well as getting discounted lift tickets for Goryo where we did ski for the full four days. During stay: The breakfast is just marvellous changing everyday and one time also having Eggs Benedict, which could easily surpass some restaurant-made, was a highlight starting the day. Walking 20 min in front to the bus stop taking us to the Goryo lift was quite convenient. Make sure to be early enough since the mini bus is tending to get quite packed. After a day of skiing relaxing in the onsen was a great thing as well. Due to many guests in general in Hakuba as well as the Eternal Flame we only got one time the chance to enjoy a 4-5 course dinner, which could again easily take it up with any top restaurant. Try to secure a slot and enjoy this experience. In the first night there was some issue with flickering light as well as a noisy heater, which was on the spot taken care of. After skiing relaxing in the comfy lounge area was nice thing to do as well. Departure: Pre-departure we sent three suitcases and the snowboard bag via Yamato to Haneda, which was also greatly facilitated by Nao. Having discussed on a morning bus from Hakuba bus terminal to Nagano, Nao had already arranged for our drop off at the bus terminal without having had explicitely to mention this request. All in all, it would be 11 out of 10 for the customer-centric hospitality!

Breakfast + onsen + common area. Nao + Kimi san and the team at Eternal Flame were excellent. They absolutely looked after us superbly . Knowledgable , caring and totally attentive to all of our needs/request. Comfy beds and onsen facilites after a days on the slopes was great. Breakfast was awesome! Will definitely stay here again when we return, you should too :) Wish I could rate these guys 11. Arigato !!!

Great breakfast, pickup and dropoff from station, discounted ski rental, ski rental people pick you up to go to their shop then drop you off at the slopes. Customised breakfast as per your dietary requirements, beds are big and comfortable, nintendo switch in the common room we can use.
