Fantastic location, stunning views of lake and mountains. The room was so comfortable, beautifully decorated. Delicious breakfast. Sarah and Jon were such lovely, welcoming hosts.

We had the most amazing experience staying here. The hosts Sarah and John go above and beyond! Our room was immaculate, the view is out of this world, the living area was such a beautiful space for guests to enjoy. The place is luxury and quality through out. There is nothing they haven't thought of. Comfortable beds, quality linen, heated flooring in the bathroom. Breakfast is excellent with a lovely menu to choose from. In the evening we enjoyed a glass of wine, you can also order by the bottle and order an amazing grazing platter. We absolutely loved our time here. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

On our 6 weeks NZL Trip High Leys Lodge will loom large as the best place we were lucky enough to stay in. And we stayed in some wonderful places! The location, facilities and provisions were second to none. To top it off, the welcome and service from Sarah was next level. We felt that she knew all our wishes before !could be our best mate... ! TeAnau itself is a stunning location - and sadly, we only had three nights there - but it was the hospitality of John and Sarah that has made us resolute that we will return... even though we are from Germany a good nearly 24 hours away via a couple of flights and a drive! But this place is that special to come back - just because I totally forgot to tune the guitar 🎸

Everything! The location, the exceptional views of the lake and mountains, the pristine, well maintained room and property, the hosts were welcoming, caring and friendly, the breakfasts were delish and beautifully presented, the sweet snacks a delight. What a lucky find!

Lovely view and garden. Breakfast was delicious and there was an extra special touch of wine and cheese each night. not far out of town. The owners helped organise a day trip to Milford Sound and were really helpful.

beautiful location and view, Sarah and John were lovely, we were spoilt with cheese in the evenings and cooked breakfast in the morning. Amazing place!

Our room was perfect, and a bonus was access to a wonderful living area. Sarah and John are excellent hosts, very friendly and down to earth. The view from our room was simply stunning. Our breakfast choices and quality and surroundings were also perfect. We would thoroughly recommend High Leys Lodge to anybody, unreservedly.
Honestly, there is nothing we did not like.

Really nice hospitality from owner Sarah. Great views from the room and the guest lounge. Hosts were very welcoming and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic. They even offered us a complimentary wine or beer before dinner time.

Our host was ultra friendly and understanding when, at the last minute, we decided to cancel a night due to road closures to MS

Sarah and John were very charming and welcoming. The property is just amazing with stunning views of Lake Te Anau. We had one half of the house to ourselves so were able to make ourselves at home. The view from our bedroom over Lake Te Anau was so good that we did not bother to close the curtains and woke to a mist-shrouded view of the lake. The breakfast was as good as we have had anywhere, and with a printed menu with a variety of choices.

Modern extremely comfortable facilities, Sarah is a lovely host, great breakfast and the most comfortable bed ever. Slightly out of town with a great view over the lake to the mountains.

Nothing to dislike, wonderful scenic setting, very upmarket luxury presentation in the guest lounge and bedrooms, hosts to whom providing great friendly service obviously comes naturally and a breakfast setting that surpasses any of the numerous bed and breakfast accommodation options we have used. Undervalued at the current rate. Absolutly would highly recommend High Leys Lodge to any discerning traveler.

Amazing views of the lake and mountains. Excellent breakfast with several options and really nice rooms, just a short drive from Te Anau centre - great spot to base yourself when visiting Fjordland. Would definitely stay again.

We loved everything about the property. Straight 10’s: hosts, bed, pillows, linen, room to spread out, water pressure, afternoon tea treats, exceptional brekkie, fab conversations with Sarah & John & that view is a massage for the soul.
There was nothing to even slightly dislike!!!
